he said yesterday that

jewell isnt ready to come back to football yet and thats from realaible sources

i also believe this is the case

1. he only been out for 5months hardly a break

2. if he was coming back it would more likely be bolton i feel

3. cant see wright making it up as he is most genuine guy around

so i cant see jewell coming here anytime soon people

I read on another thread yesterday that this is a bit like the Curbishley situation last time around. We have latched on to a guy who we see as our potential saviour but the realism is most probably that Jewell has never been a starter as Curbishley wasn''t last time. We can read what we hope for into certain situations such as the fact that he is tied to Wigan until 1st November and we can''t announce anything until is why nothing has been announced yet but the odds are that the length of time it is taking is nothing to do with that situation. Hope I''m wrong but suspect I''m not.

I hear you and agree it will be massive ask to get Jewell, but I honestly believe that if we really push the boat out we can get him.  As for comments regarding Ian Wright he may be on the right lines, but I still take his comments with a pinch of salt.  For instance there is no indication that wrighty has had a direct conversation with Jewell, also there has been no comments from Jewell saying he wouldn''t be interested.  I would also add that it is easy for Jewell to say that he is not looking to return, but when norwich is on the table its a bit different.  So lets just wait and see.

he just said on the grapevine in my local pub people have been say.. he not ready to come back yet

obvious you dont know how true it is

but cant see wrighty listening to jim who builder who goes down their weekly

i hope you get jewell as i rate him alot, thing is though look at it this way

if he was to be coming back now

would he go to bolton or norwich?

he be mad to turn down a prem side for team who got no chance of promotion this year (no offence)

Curbishley was always a complete no-no last time, due to how long he''d been at Charlton and the reasons for his departure.

Paul Jewell on the other hand left Wigan in different circumstances and for different reasons. His subsequent moves after leaving a job would also suggest Norwich could be a possibility.

It would be painfully difficult to get him here, but I believe more plausible. Curbs I agree was never going to happen.

Although even if Jewell did come here costing masses of money, under a barrage of good will, it could still all go disastrously wrong. The problems run far deeper than the man in charge of the dugout, but could good be solved by that same man and a few decent results.

Have to say i agree with lobstercatcher. I''m in a bad enough mood with whats going on at the football club as it is without coming on here every day to have some wolves fan telling us what we should be doing or that we''ve got no chance of signing x or appointing y as our manager. He really got on my nerves during the transfer window and is continuing to do so now. Ok some of our posts may be hopeful or overly optimistic but we know that and don''t need him as the voice of moderation every 5 minutes!

Oh and for the record WBA are BY FAR the nicest club and best set of fans I have encountered out of the Brum/Midlands clubs - even though they will no doubt wallop us on saturday!

shows you knowledge birmingham is the midlands did you take geography, and great you dont win points being the nicest supported team do you look at leeds

i couldnt really care less if you like wba more than wolves

obv it is good to be omptimstic better being pessemistic like some saying why will holloway, tilson etc.. leave to come to norwich

but your fans like many others when its theirclub going  for manager get a big named manager drilled in to their head. i was giving an honest and probably more stable discussion on it saying what other people rather than norwich fans thoughts! obv im not always right, and you have the main say, coz hey you go n watch your team every week

most fans on here are fine, but some need to grow up fast before your a-levels next year! n stop being childish
