Who *don't* you want?
To be honest I can''t understand the hatred for Joe Royle (well apart from amanging Ipswich)

I find it sad that some people are so narrow-minded that they wouldn''t want him because he managed Ipswich for a few years. He wouldn''t be my first choice but we could do a lot worse.

I mean - who would be the man that would cause you to tattoo "Cluck was right!" on your arm, have you carve your season ticket up and destroy all your City weblinks from your favourites?

Personally I''d have to say Robson as tops. Warnock and Hoddle would be close behind...
You should already have "Cluck was right" tattood on your arse...

I said Smith was blatantly milking the publicity while you  lot were busy enjoying the Chelsea Kiddies Tea Party (you know the one where we nearly won 0-4)......

I said the ground was dead these days because of the carefully engineered middle class family groups who had infiltrated the stands.

I said last season that Earnshaw would leave as soon as he could get away.

I said Grant would stifle Huckerby''s flair by beating him down.

I said Ashton and Earnshaw (and more) were signed purely for quick profit....and not for success on the pitch.

I said Grant was a big gobbed loser as soon as I heard he was the new manager.

I said expect a bunch of Jock second raters to turn up as replacements for the few decent players who left.

I said the players Grant was bringing in were the donkeys and journeymen no-one else wanted.....

I said Shackell was a laughable choice for captain.

I said Brown was total crap and that the Czech basketball player wasn''t even up to League 2 standard.

I said the Bruilier flag would never be unfurled for more than five minutes at the end of a game.

I said Cureton was past it.

I said Grant had proved his mentality after Croft was subbed for "showboating" at Tamworth.

I said we wouldn''t see any of the transfer money recieved by the club out on the pitch.

I said the season ticket racket was a cynical scam based on false promises to manuipulate attendance figures.

I said Gunn would be a joke in any other role than a club bar "escort".

I said the kitchens were always the club priority under Smith...not the team.

I said that "nice Mr. Doncaster" was wildly spinning the facts in those "kind" email replies to supporters.

I''ve lots more if you want to hear them...but then that might make me appear a trifle smug mightn''t it?..........

Arent you a clever boy then!!!

Too right. If they appoint Jim Duffy I will eat my own head. I find the very fact his name is even being mentioned extremely distressing. In fact what is he still doing at the club?Newell, Bruce and Jewell are the way forward.

He got shot as a Binner - sorry, a traitor. I don''t think he actually called our brave boys "BRA WEARING NANCY BOY LONDON TYPE KNOWALL ARMY", but I''m sure he would have done if he''d thought of it. Although that does sound like something out of Monty Python''s Holy Grail - "Your father is a hamster and your mother smells of elderberries! I fart in your general direction".

I don''t like Mike Newell but I absolutely can''t stand Hoddle! Reckon I''m gonna have a right quandry on my hands when Hoddle is appointed - not going to be good hating the manager of my footy team. [:(]

When you think about it, it is a lot easier to say who you don''t want as the next City manager, than to say who would be a good replacement for Grant. There are a heck of a lot of duffers around now - even though a considerable number of them were good in their time. Famous names such as: Howard Wilkinson, Howard Kendal, Graham Taylor, Gerry Francis, Ron Atkinson, Glenn Hoddle, George Graham, Trevor Francis, Peter Taylor and Graham Souness have all tasted success in their time, but I doubt there is one name there that would be a popular choice for City manager now. Looking for a capable manager is a bit of a minefield these days and needs to be negotiated with the utmost caution. I''m glad I''m not responsible for this difficult task.
