Grant is getting rid of some of the deadwood and bringing in players who look like they could be usefull.

Chadwick is on the way back.

Hucks will play on Saturday.

We actually played well with commitment and desire for 45 minutes without Dublin, Huckerby or Safri on the pitch. I never thought I would see that this season! Squad is getting stronger? Only time will tell!

We now have competition for places in the central midfield, and wide left (Eagle Lappin, Hux?) and wide right (Chadwick,Croft).We have cover for full back. Etuhu has turned up for a game, - at Stamford Bridge.We have in Fozzy the kind of ball-player we have looked for for some time, and one who is accurate with corners and free-kicks.We are becoming more resilient when we go behind, 0-1 or 0-2 doesn''t automatically become 0-3 or 0-4, even when away to a promotion hopeful and we lack five first team players (Ernie, Hux, Etuhu, Safri, Marshall). Confidence and self-belief seem to be rising.All in all, if we can somehow learn how to put away chances, even without Ernie we are becoming a match for any team in the Championship.

thats on the assumption we sign Marshall... hope we do... not sure if Celtic will sell though.. Gordon Strachan i think wants Marshall on the bench in Europe next season as he has champions league/uefa cup Experiance.

-We have good young players starting to fight for positions: Martin, Brown, Eagle(kind of), Lappin and Fotheringham--(Not as young as Martin, but are both fairly young still).

-The fans are seemingly seeing an improvement on the pitch, giving them some new hope!

iain dowie has won less games this season than grant.

On the positive note, Grant''s acquisitions look to be far stronger than those he has let go, we seem to have some confidence back evidenced by the fact that we even managed a reasonable attempt at a fightback on Tuesday night without Huckerby. That simply wouldn''t have happened two or three months ago.

We have started to replace teh league 1 crappers with hopefully championship quality players.

We still have top quality in Erny Hucks and Safri.
