Simon Milton In Lion & Castle Pre Match, WTF ?

Recommended Posts

  • The Lion & Castle pub will open at 10am for Lower Barclay ticket holders, serving sausage and bacon baps, and drinks. City legend Bryan Gunn and former Ipswich player Simon Milton will be interviewed on stage at 11am.

Now what could possibly go wrong with it full of City fans on the sauce and the beer being served in plastic glasses ?

I had to Google him, he's 60. Am I missing something?

If anyone from The Barclay fancies a scrap I'm sure there will be plenty of opportunities away from the ground.

Spoken to Simon many times in the One Bull in Bury - Simon has been involved with Bury Town.
Looks out for his M1LTS number plate tomorrow if anyone want to chuck a beer can (joking)

Milton nearly signed for Norwich years ago when he was with the Binners  Norwich came in for him (Chase I think) and Ipswich matched our offer to keep him.
He told me he was very grateful to Norwich for doubling his wages.
If anyone can be bothered tomorrow ask him about it .

So we doubled the wages of someone who never ever played for us and was always a binner. That does take the biscuit.

Now we invite him back to Carra to talk about it.

You are certainly having problems in working out whether your dog's wind problem is temporary or permanent.

Binner or not - as I recall Milton was a real decent footballer. When Chase was Chairman, we had the likes of Stringer and Walker running the football side - they knew how to build decent football teams - in fact the most successful period in the history of the club. So the decision to acquire Milton was made after they "ran the rule over him". Crikey comparing Milton to some of the overpaid cr4p we have hovering about at the club today - I'd take Milton any day !
