The point here is that McLean and Sara are supposed to be playing that role but neither of them are good enough. Add to that our useless fullbacks and geriatric CBs then you have a recipe for disaster.

It needs a complete rebuild of our midfield so that means calling time on McLean and Sara as automatics. We need a solid go nowhere DM, a box to box runaholic and an attacking midfielder supporting a single striker. Sargent, Barnes, Hwang and Idah fight it out for the lone striker role.

I'd say it's been a lot longer than that. We needed another one for at least 3 or 4 years when Tettey was still here.

Granted we did sign one in Mulumbu, for whatever reason it didn't work out.

Nope. You should stop lying and quote accurately. I said Wagner's style doesn't play with a traditional CDM, because the role in his system expects far more than what a CDM is generally capable of. Putting a CDM in replacement of one of the midfielders and leaving everything else the same doesn't solve our problems, if anything it just creates some different one's.
