Satriales 994 Posted September 19, 2023 The bloke and a couple of mates were walking to their hotel about midnight and got chased by 8 masked blokes who had knives/ a machete. The chap has recently had knee replacements and fell whilst trying to run off, he was stabbed 3 times. Clearly they were targeted for being English football fans, no belongings were stolen. All of the above taken from Twitter.

Pyro Pete 2,354 Posted September 19, 2023 So in 2023, a bloke from Newcastle gets stabbed by AC Milan ultras, and somehow it's the fault of everybody living in a city in the North West of England in 1985? Er...

Captain Holt 580 Posted September 19, 2023 The Pinkun forum still drinking that Maggie Thatcher cool aid. Scousers are the friendliest people I’ve come across in the entire country - not that it is in any way relevant in this situation. 4

A Load of Squit 6,260 Posted September 19, 2023 It was terrible when we went there in 1993, if the fans weren't trying to attack us the police in the stadium were. Decided I never wanted to go back there ever again.
detroit94 9 Posted September 19, 2023 It is also the case this went on before the Heysel disaster in 85. At the European Cup Final in Rome in 84 Liverpool fans were attacked and stabbed before and after their victory over Roma. It seems to be a very Italian problem not a Scouse one

Sooty57 414 Posted September 19, 2023 (edited) It does highlight the downside to getting into the big European competitions. Sometimes mediocrity can look quite attractive. Edited September 19, 2023 by Sooty57
