We'd just been promoted and we were given the chance to sell him for far more than he was actually worth so accepted the bid.

He didn't want to leave at all. It was our stupid decision as a club. No idea if it was AN's or McNallys.

He talked about it a while back with TNC, has a lot of love for the club still:

Crazy thing is that we didn't even bring anyone in, so I think Alex Neil was stitched up a little during all this.  Mulumbu was here in July and injured in August, Dorrans before that in May, and Johnson went out 1st Sept.

Of course we were chasing Naismith and didn't get him in that window, so you presume he was the player we were eyeing up - eventually came in the January window.

Agreed. Kenny is the nearest thing we have to a Bradders but in my opinion he's  played far too deep.

We just seem to be over complicating things.

I have it on very good authority he was in tears when he went to pick up his stuff from Colney. He didn't want to go at all.

Correct decision from the club though, great fee, he did nothing when he left here and was not PL quality.

A player who always gave his all and I liked him, but he wasn't a great footballer... time has put on the rose-tinted glasses with Johnson.

Throw in good all-round influence, and you have the things usually accredited to a CDM at Championship level though.
