You could have a reliable stream with just an slr camera and a laptop without these issues.  Doesn't need to be professional.

Could have been one of the other games. Cambridge perhaps, but there was certainly an overheating issue last year too. 

Coincidentally i think it was this guy commentating on that game too.

Although now it seems like they've unplugged the mic leading to a more stable stream. Again, that could absolutely have been causing more heat,
