You’d imagine the club will bite their hand off if they get any sort of offer for Nunez at that level.

im undecided on him to be honest. Has moments where he looks great but then others where he lacks strength and gives the ball away a lot.

Another who has suffered from our imbalanced squad as he looks best playing behind the striker but inexplicably rarely gets played there.

I totally agree. He should have been used more behind striker(s) but if 20m Euros for unproven player might be taken to help rebuild although seems a shame

Such a sale would be a major boost for Stuart Webber and as such he might well be tempted in his 'me first, NCFC second' stance

Sara and Nunez represent the first signings from his South American venture.

Now we have acclimatised the pair it would be a pity to part with them.

Money talks though and should either of them leave the club for the fees reported then Webber would see it as a much-needed feather in his cap, a massive plus on his cv and would certainly re-establish his own belief in himself if he ever lost it.

He would consider that he could leave NCFC with his head held high.

Leeds here I come??

(And they are welcome to each other.)

I'd take it if we're talking 20m euros. He's shown glimpses. He'll probably be a more consistent player next season but where does he fit into the first 11 if Sara stays? Bank the money, dip back into S.America for another similarly raw player for the bench and spend the rest bringing in a higher quality experienced pro

I thought it was Seaman Staines.

What about David seaman, a funny name for a goalkeeper that kept so many clean sheets.

I think we should keep after a rest and a good pre season he'll come good. He needs to been played in his right position not deep or wide and his valuation will rocket .otbc

Was a long time coming, but I remember Wenger releasing Seaman.

At Wengers age, I'm amazed he managed to let seaman go  at all.  Though he was over 70 When he dribbled round Zidane.

My phone now auto corrects Wenger to Webber.... sign of the times.

From Brighton Fans Forum, no idea if that's true but if it is then this may be just more than a silly internet rumour??

We appointed Danny Hoyle to our recruitment team recently. He was the guy responsible for Norwich’s South American scouting and was one who brought Nunez into them originally.

I can see a level of interest, I just cant see us selling him at this stage. I dont think he is one earmarked for the door & they'll concentrate on those and the acquisition of other players, unless of course a stupid bid comes in. I can see Nunez being a quality player for us this season.

Hoyle was the club's northern academy recruitment head before joining Brighton.

Don't sell.  I've been convinced for a  while he's going to be epic next season.  Sit tight and watch him propel us to the PL and the riches that brings.

It doesnt bring riches unfortunately as it gets gobbled up in wages ,transfers and agent fees. Its like getting a payrise and having to shop in Waitrose rather than the lidl you're  used to.

Why does selling a player mean "...wages ,transfers and agent fees." ?

If player is sold it is because they have been offered far higher wages, a chance to play in the PL and a hefty signing on fee. Just the way we signed Maddison, Godfrey and Buendia. That is how it is. Unfortunately, that reality does not fit with some of the board's malcontents who would have that it is the club failing the fans..

Maybe we should also look at how we acquired, Clarke, Gibbs and the young Scots lad from Hamilton. Did their respective clubs want to 'sell' an exciting prospect. I doubt. It's just they are lower than us in the pecking order, just as we are to any PL club.

I wasn't referring  to  selling a player  Pocko , i was referring to the "riches that the premier league brings " once the unsold  Nunez propels us there. I apologise if not clear, though i read it through again and I understood me. 😂

Basically the reality is everyone is for sale, the club have set out I think that Aarons and Andrew O are the two they want to sell first. That said it’s all on the table isn’t it. If someone offers 15 million plus for  Nunez, Sarge, Sara or Gunn the club would have a think about it for about two secs and then sell sell sell.

I Agree and it is not a bad thing IF webber brings in the right players to replace them ,

We are still waiting for a CDM and Webbers recruitment has gone downhill ,that is why i wanted a new DOF with fresh ideas for the rebuild ,

IF we did sell Nunez (which I don’t want us to) we should be looking at someone like Matias Esquivel from Lanus. Very good little player and we should sign him even if Nunez doesn’t go.

Brighton recruitment has been great for the last few years.  If they genuinely want him they must see something. Do they have any players not quite good enough for the premier League they can send our way?
