hogesar 10,773 Posted October 20, 2022 He was a good fit there, the Villa connection obviously aside. I cant see their owners going back though.

No I don't think for one minute he will, and I suspect most Villa fans don't actually want him anyway. Like I've said to my Villa mate, he looks at him with claret/blue specs but I know he doesn't like it when I slag him off.
Indy 3,477 Posted October 20, 2022 I’d swap Gerrard for Smith tomorrow. Villa are the club that like to believe they’re huge, like Leeds, but reality is other clubs have moved past them and they’re always going to be mid to lower table with the occasional relegation. After watching the last three games live at Carrow Road on live on TV we’ve certainly not improved in any way in the past ten months.

Capt. Pants 5,015 Posted October 20, 2022 Vacancies as Wolves, Bournemouth and almost certainly Villa. Rodgers would probably had gone as well if Leicester had any money.

The Great Drinkell 51 Posted October 20, 2022 Could we send Smith to Villa and have Emi back instead of them paying us compensation. I'm only asking for 27000 friends 8

He's missing Teema as much as the the other way round - two very good football minds - maybe Villa will move for Pukki In January they need a goal scorer.

Well he inherited a really **** poor team built by Smith, you can’t blame Gerrard. 😉👍 He won the premiership with Rangers…..much more successful than our current manager! Who wouldn’t want Gerrard?
Commonsense 802 Posted October 20, 2022 We won the Championship with Farke. That’s a much stronger league than some 2 horse race in Scotland!

Yeah, Twitter is a bad example but there is a lot of Dean Smith love from Villa fans..

Google Bot 3,936 Posted October 20, 2022 Would be perfect if they wanted him back, just give us our player back and water under the bridge as they say... No money needs to be exchanged! 🙂

Indy 3,477 Posted October 20, 2022 To be fair to Gerrard, he’s not that bad, but he’s way to expensive to have here, along with Lamps just not what we need, yes it’s funny how the same suspects fall for a little fun, if we were to change I’d want an up a coming young manager from this league, someone on the up not failing like Smith or Gerrard! We rightly sacked Farke and made a mistake by not appointing someone with a winning record, poaching a successful manager.
