Wibble 153 Posted June 13, 2022 Sorry but if there was a way to mute the interviewer and just listen to Timm i would, but unfortunately you cant, so I just cant. 6
lake district canary 4,830 Posted June 13, 2022 That's well worth a listen to. A class act on and off the pitch. If only he and Zimbo could have stayed fit and played as a pair more - they would have been a partnership to be reckoned with at any level.

Though I think only Zimbo had the pace when he first arrived and before the horror injury at the start of the first Prem campaign. I think probably the most illuminating thing about comparing them, is one was free, the other cost £8m+. And honestly, you'd be hard pushed to say which was genuinely better. That either states that Klose was overprice or that Zimmermann was an utter bargain. I would say more of the former. Overall I think Zimmermann being a mainstay of a promotion season probably says that he is probably the better of the two, though being several years Klose's junior. Klose was certainly a great character, one I don't think we ever got to see the best of IMHO.
Google Bot 3,934 Posted June 14, 2022 Great interview, was quite candid in regards to his request to leave. Also, saying he fell into the mindset to only give 50% after that was interesting. You always hear ex-players on R5 or Talksport saying "Oh, players always give 100%, it's nonsense that they don't try" and we know it to not be the case. Very few break off from that players code and tell it how it is, so credit to him for that honesty. TNC, love them or hate them are killing it with these interviews. Big respect to what they've built up.

Buendia is more hot-headed than Klose, so if Klose went into a mindset of only giving 50% I dread to think what Emi would have been thinking! 2
Midlands Yellow 4,682 Posted June 14, 2022 20%, 50% or 90%, it’s still showing some interest for your money.

I remember he thought the Championship would be a cake walk as he was quite candid about it a few seasons ago in the press.

Respect to Timm for talking about it but I don't think this reflects well on players and their mentality towards what they are being well paid to do. It is wrong for players not to at least try to give 100%, whatever their situation......I know players are human beings and are subject to all sorts of emotions about their jobs, the same as anybody, being happy or unhappy, settled or unsettled or whatever, but at least what Timm did was realise he had lost motivation and needed to buckle down and commit - in other words he dealt with it. Lesser characters don't deal with it, show it in their performances and lose respect of the fans and it becomes a difficult situation for all concerned. It is wrong for players not to at least try to give 100%, whatever their situation Depends what you mean in regards to 'reflects well' - do you mean to us? Or to other players looking on? In context he discussed how this mindset turned around and very appreciative of the fans who played their part. We can't pretend players don't find themselves in these situations, but what is key is hearing such talk of being there, and turning that into a success. As a fan, it was also great to hear how we made a difference to his mindset. To give 100% "Whatever the situation" is also such a wide net which you cast. What about depression, losing confidence, long-term injuries, off-field stress, and the feeling over being overlooked, or not being provided a fair chance in the squad. Personally, I prefer the reflections of an honest man than someone who pretends they always give 100%. I appreciate that some can't deal with this though, as we saw following the Webber "90% of my life" story.

Worthy Nigelton 1,301 Posted June 15, 2022 Chris Reeve is just unbearable. I'm listening to this because I liked Klose a lot but this tool makes it very, very hard to enjoy.

He reveals in the podcast he asked to leave after we were relegated under Alex Neil and spent the next 6 months giving 50% effort in a sulk that he wasn't granted his move. Admire his honesty, but you can't in light of this interview call him "a class act".

I think they're both 'sorft' sticking their heads above the parapet like that. They should know their place and be anonymous like the rest of us. We're Norfolk boys, after all. Showy bu-ggers. Occasionally tune into their podcasts. No complaints from me, and quite admire them, in equal proportions, for their efforts as a pair of City fanatics. Keep it up, boys!💓

Ulfotto 798 Posted June 15, 2022 Don’t understand the hate for the TNC boys. It’s great this relatively new channel exists for Norwich fans providing content which did not exist before.
