Billy Gilmour wanting a loan away from Chelsea..

Recommended Posts

Thats right- A player wanting to leave Chelsea on loan. How the turntables turn and all that.

Seriously though would you take him? Rather similar case to Skipp.

Really good young player but a position we already seem well stocked in so can't see us going for it.

Yep, but one to consider for next season if we can't get Skipp for some reason.

Different kind of player to Skipp as far as I understand.

Aye, but we've also got Sorensen for breaking things up and coming up with something to get things moving.

You sound confident we will retain Skipp for another season TGS (if promoted), I hope you're right!

I'm really not, hence the "if". However, I do think if Tottenham want him to go on loan again, we're in the box seat if we go up.

I suppose this will only be considered at the end of the season. Would like to see Skipp shielding our defence in the Prem. That kind of player is much needed for us. I would have Gilmour as well if we could, so we could play more defensively if needed against the bigger teams. The only downside is there are barely 6ft between the two the them

Yeah I would expect so if we do, I'm sure Skipp is enjoying his footy here massively too. A season at a bottom end prem team seems like a good / natural progression from the top of the champs. Hopefully Spurs see it that way too and don't want him back just yet - I think he is not at the level of the Spurs DMs at this stage so hopefully they value giving him regular game time over a bit part / back up role.

Absolutely, although I would like to see him given a rest for a game or two and Sorensen tested in there. No need to flog Skipp into oblivion in his first full season as a first-team regular somewhere, especially in a season as condensed as this one.

Then, when questioned cries            " Bully!" .  Somewhat detached  from  reality methinks.

This time it's not a hope or expectation. It's a statement.

Yeah it will be interesting to see if the Tuchel/Farke relationship helps us get a good loanee from Chelsea if we go up.

Hopefully I quoted enough of your post to not 'twist' what you were saying...

Gilmour would reduce the average height of our team by at least a foot, he's a midget.

Yeah, because Emi and Max are absolute giants, right? Apart from Gibson, Hanley, Hugill, Zimmermann and Stiepermann, do we really have that much height in the team?

We seem to be full of players who are fairly average height as is. And in Stiepi's case, he hardly ever wins a header anyway.

Totally agree. From the evidence of our last time in the Prem; it's brick shi t houses we need.

Haha, I actually reckon it’s more a case of people on here don’t learn. Ol’ lakey plays the majority on here like a fiddle I reckon.

That's ok. I don;t see it in terms of "getting carried away". The squad is already stronger overall than it was when we went up last time and would be stronger again by the start of next season. It will feel like chalk and cheese - first time we were naive and quite fraile, second time we will be much, much more savvy and much better able to cope.
