Vadis Staying Here..

Recommended Posts

For the foreseeable future, anyway.
Not impossible to leave but (and most should know i''m hardly one for rumours on here, I get by quite nicely by just being a general d*ck) appears he is here for another year which suggests he''s probably not going out on loan either - maybe we''ll see him hit the first team?
Not bothered either way personally on him, not seen enough to say he deserves a place but in the same sense not seen enough to say he doesn''t!

Did you talk to him or are one of those mysterious ITK posters?

Although I thought we were always likely to give him a chance next season after a proper pre season.

Seems fair enough. I''m just not sure where he will fit. Is he attacking enough to play in the hole or is he more of an option for 4-4-2?

Hogesar you are right - he is a perfect fit for the squadIdeal Left Back along with Lafferty, San Miquell & wolfLeft Back in the changing room He is hopeless another duff signing wont even make the bench, needs to be moved on with the other no hopers listed aboveIf Voo could not get a start in any champs game how on earth will he get a start in the Prem ?
Newton. Because of fitness, injuries and a midfield that was playing out of its skin.
Spot on. Even when he was fit enough he wasn''t going to dislodge anyone at a crucial stage of the season. He''ll have a fresh start this season and will be like a new signing.

IMO, Odjidja-Ofoe will be a major player for us this season. He offers a different option to Howson or Dorrans in that he can break with pace from defence and carry the ball forward to support the attack or score himself. While Howson or Dorrans can do that to an extent, they tend more often to stick to the short passing game to move the ball forward.

As usual, Newton talks a load of caulk.

AN had him the match day squad among the substitutes for a number of games towards the end of the season when he was injury free and available for selection.

I think he''s a decent midfielder and I believe had come on for Johnson.

I think he is a good option in the middle. If we continue with the same sort of tactics next season, it''s worth considering that we end up playing a sort of 4-1-3-1-1 formation which encourages the fullbacks to be wing backs and Tettey or the DM to almost become a third center back.

With that in mind, there are three more central midfield roles. And I think, if memory serves me right, that he came on for Johnson a couple of times last season.

For me he was never going to move on this year, I think bigger questions remain around other players at this point in time.

In defense for example. If, as it looks like, we are searching for a new center back then one will have to give I should think. Turner, Bassong, Martin and R.Bennett currently here. So I would guess Turner would be leaving.

Then there is the likes of E. Bennett - does he have a future. O''Neil has a year left on his contract and has indicated that he is staying but again, if push came to shove and we needed to make space . . . .

The fact that we have players who have yet to prove themselves is a good thing as it gives the squad a competitive edge that can only be positive.  Vadis has undoubted ability - as has Andreu. Whether they can break into the team next season is unknowable at the moment, but they should  be pushing for a place at least on the bench so they can try and force their way in.

Howson is great at carrying the ball and at pace. He does it brilliantly to relieve pressure and/or start attacks.

VOO is the closest we''ve got to Yaya Touré - providing he stays fit, he could be invaluable!

Serious or not? - what do we think people?

Most of you guys play too much FIFA - get a reality checkVoo started 1 league game, no where near the bench when we all injury free -We have already signed the 2 guys from WBA & it looks like Brady or another left midfielder on the way & many of you are claimimg Voo will be a key player for usNo way - the guy could not even get a start against Fulham and when he came on for the last 30 mins he looked lost

I agree with NM, he could be our ''YaYa'',

If he plays regularly, should we nick the ''There''s no limits'' song and put in O,O,O,O, O, O, O Vadis with say Alex Tettey, or You, You, You, You, You, You Ssouf (Mulumbu), anyway time to get ready for work...........

Personally, I just can''t see how he could get in ahead of the likes of Howson, Johnson, Tettey and even Mulumbu when all playing well. Maybe he''ll have to wait for a loss of form.
I''m not an In-The-Know poster in the slightest, nor have I spoken to him directly! However, I do know he''s staying in the Norwich Area.

I admit my opinion of Vadis is based on rather limited observation - however, he seems a solid unit and a real forward-moving ball carrier. Also reminded me of Tom Huddlestone. Yes, he looked a little lost amongst his new team mates, but surely there is some serious talent in there?

Let''s be honest - none of him have really seen him play in a run of games to really judge the poor guy.

He''s an international, and was clearly quite highly regarded when we signed him - he''s just been unfortunate with injuries and playing in a squad which was performing so well that he never got a chance. I see this as a good thing!

A fit Vadis will be like a new signing anyway - I''ve no doubt he will show his worth given the chance in pre-season. With the team performing so well last year there was no reason to throw him in to competitive football if he hadn''t recovered fully.

I expect that if I moved you a few hundred miles from your home and put you in a new work environment you''d look lost as well, when I changed jobs last time it took me two days to find the toilets.

I thought he looked the part when he came on for that little cameo appearance against Fulham. If he is fully fit then I expect we will see more of him this season.

Admit it you know nothing about football, the first 10 months are consigned to discovering where the goal and your team mates are.

Ricardo from memory he constantly lost the ball & did not track back

A lasting memory from my seat in the Jarrold was watching Bradly sprint past him when we attacked and spient back past him when we defended and Bradley aint the quickest

That must have been a sight. Usually when Johnson sprints forward he only tends to amble back.

GJP correct he aint the quickest but he overtook Voo both ways

In the end Voo just stood in the centre circle with his hands in the air calling for the ball

I don''t think any of us have seen enough of him to know whether he''s going to be like a new signing or just a squad player.

Little cameos in a few games is nothing to judge him on and all I have seen of him outside of those cameos is some U21 games, where granted he looked quality but you''d expect him to.

I''m hopeful he''s going to be a big player for us next season and the beauty of that is that he''d not cost us a penny in this seasons transfer budget.

Only time will tell but I''m sure AN has already got him sussed
