  1. Im assuming he hasnt produced during under 23's matches to even warrant a place on the bench at times. Why sit their and wait for a player who may never get into first team XI waste a valuable loan slot. Im just guessing Farke just doesnt rate him.
  2. Surely the time has come to terminate his loan agreement, if he is indeed not up to scratch. That way at least we can get a new addition in asap to help out the first team.
  3. Rammed full of Defensive Midfielders is a bit of an overstatement. Tettey likely to retire at end of season and Amadou is just on loan with an option to buy. Which leaves the likes of Trybull, as I wouldnt class other midfielders we have as a DM. Would expect to see quite a few players touted around this time of year in the lead up to January.
  4. Leitner is a quality player, but of course is better playing from deep rather than Stiepermann's position. It all comes down to who is fit and available. For me, its a centre back pairing of Godfrey & Amadou. With Trybull & one other alongside him / Leitner / Tettey, depending on the opposition. I would like to see Stepiermann get a goal which would boost his confidence and get him playing with a little more guile. Im surprised that Drmic hasn't been considered more for that position, as he's agile, creative and a goal threat. Guess we'll have to speculate on who starts next game until the next injury bulletin comes in.
  5. Probably our best chance to get 3 points from Manure this weekend. With them playing last night and also a few key injuries. If we get 3 points tomorrow we should be able to kick on up the table.
  6. Really couldnt care less about Ipswich. Rather focus on whats happening in the premiership with us.
  7. Probably a way behind in terms of match fitness. Clearly a good finisher but needs more first team minutes. Wasn't overly impressed by his recent performances, so needs to start putting in a shift to put pressure on Steipermann & Pukki to start. Albeit the latter unlikely to change.
  8. This is not a Steipermann bashing contest, I was just pointing out I don't think he has been that effective recently. But this is obviously a team game, so he is only as good as his teammates.
  9. He has been mainly ineffective in most departments to date. I appreciate his height and presence are needed at times, but in my opinion a Buendia/Roberts/Cantwell mix would be more dynamic and quicker on the break.
  10. I suspect Byram which switch sides in order to cover Lewis if injured, as people have suggested above. Its surprising most people (local press) seem to think Heise is not up to the standard required for the Prem and might be a bit of a liability at the back. Im guessing we wont hear on Lewis injury until later this week.
  11. Lets hope for some good news on Lewis this week. I always thought Heise looked more than capable of filling in. Hopefully we can get a positive next result without sustaining further injuries and we can start looking more positively about things.
  12. Hopefully Fahrmann is fit to start, as per latest pinkun report. Sounded like he was unlikely to start based on the press conference and twitter reports. Guess we'll find out tomorrow.
  13. I think the plan would be to be involved in their first team XI, considering the existing centre backs. £60 million would be very wide of the mark IMO.
  14. I would expect substantial add ons if that were the case too, based on England caps etc
  15. I see Godfrey is back in the papers being linked with Tottenham again. It notes they might not even wait until the summer to make a move, so I suspect a big bid will be received by them at some stage in the future. I would be surprised if he is here next season, but if he isnt we should be able to command a large sum for him.
  16. Not a great start in terms of injuries we have sustained. Assuming a back pairing of Amadou & Godfrey, with Vrancic / Leitner or McLean in Trybulls space. How did Amadou look recently?
  17. I think he is a little behind in terms of match fitness compared to others in fairness. Has shown glimpses of what he's about, but if we are going to have a successful season, we will need multiple players to take their game to a new level.
  18. Good point on Roberts and one which had passed my thinking. Drmic also needs game time and more importantly needs to remain fit. Hopefully regardless of the next result, I would just like to see an improvement in performance, as the West Ham game looked a bit worrying at times.
  19. Would like to see Drmic fit so he can start vying for the no.10 shirt. As much as my next statement will cause the uproar on this forum, I'd like to see him ahead of Cantwell, with Cantwell playing back up. (awaiting gun emoji's to be sent to me)
  20. Would certainly like to see Roberts & Buendia start, with Cantwell in a central position. Steipi has offered very little so far this season and apart from giving us some much needed height & the occasional hold play, has done nothing to warrant holding down his position. Hopefully a return of one of the injury struggling CB's would then move Amadou in midfield to give us more grit and mobility in front of the back four.
  21. Hi mate, lots of ex pat bars in Paris to choose from. The frog & percy pub at Bercy village is good. O'Briens Irish bar which is about ten mins from the tower is another option. Enjoy
  22. Can see Newcastle's front line causing as problems with their movement. Hopefully we'll play some good football and get them on the back foot early.
  23. Don't like either pundit. Our defending was poor though, so cant really escape criticism on that point. Hopefully Hanley comes out and put on a good display, or otherwise I doubt we'll be seeing him much in the first team this year.
