Just wondered if you read and actually believe what you write or if there is some sort of weird cognitive dissonance going on? If KM was "done" as a footballer in his preferred position, and made such apparently terrible errors in the midfield, do you truly believe Wagner would push him into CB rather than onto the bench or out of the squad? Maybe you might consider yourself an alternative scenario where he is one of the most trusted and adaptable members of the squad that he can go on to achieve pretty unexpected success in an alien role. One thing I have always found strange about our fanbase is what lengths some people will go to justify their own opinion rather than hold their hands up and admit they may have called it wrong.

Yeah, that makes total sense and absolutely doesn't smack of a McLean hater trying to justify why he's done a pretty unbelievable job at CB to date. Have you considered that the alternative is perhaps that you are wrong about him as a player? You would think if Kenny was such a disaster in CM every single manager who he has played under would not have played him as (mostly) the first name on the team sheet.

Is that sustainable though? On a one-off basis perhaps it would attract that sort of revenue as it's an uncommon matchup, but if they're doing it twice a year every year?

Last night wasn't always pretty, but there's no question it was a far better offensive performance than we have seen in general recently. Honestly don't think the media are helping too much, they seem as myopic as I can remember. Rob Butler criticising Wagner for talking about Sainz's defensive game as if it's not something wingers should have to worry about, but then also criticises us for being so open and easy to play against.

Can't remember Wednesday actually having many high quality chances despite those desperately clinging onto the number of shots off-target stat. Definitely a period in the first half where we looked like the same old Norwich, but overall we won that game at a canter.

Other than goals for, goals against, shots on target, and the overall scoreline. We also missed an absolute sitter.

Idah is simply the latest person to blame at Carrow Road. Some of the abuse he has got from people around me has been pretty sickening and undeserved. He may not have been fantastic all season, but other players have made some absolute dreadful howlers and seem to escape the level of criticism Adam, for some reason, attracts. He has also got some absolutely vital goals recently, and looks absolutely like a confidence player. Ultimately we have seen time and time again that rather than admitting they are pretty clueless and perhaps wrong about him, those people will continue to unfairly criticise him regardless of what he achieved. Hopefully he can continue his goal to game ratio, and the boo-boy baton will be passed onto someone else.

That's fair. We had two absolutely glorious chances in the first half, can't really remember them having too many clear cut chances. I was cutting worktop at the same time however, so might have missed some.

Honestly think Fassnacht was worse. Marginally perhaps, but Watford couldn't believe their luck down that side.

Which was obviously the sensible decision - it made absolutely no strategic sense for Knapper to rip things up at that stage. I never had any doubt Wagner would be given some time. That said, I think things have changed very quickly since Knapper has been in the door and would not be surprised to see the situation reappraised extremely soon.

As a professional organisation aware of the vital nature of 3 points, I would really hope this isn't the case. That said, the way Farke's sacking was handled did set alarm bells ringing. I can't really remember the club taking ownership and responsibility when things aren't going well previously. Wagner definitely a fall guy, but he and Smith didn't hire themselves.

You've got to admit it's bizarre that Onel and Fassnacht were kept on as long as they were today though, and really difficult to justify from a sporting perspective. It isn't unusual for someone who has lost the dressing room to play those who show loyalty and "buy-in" as opposed to those who could do the best job for the squad.

I can't see how Wagner turns things around after tonight. Too many indefensible tactical decisions imply this is a man who has run out of ideas. Honestly, the performance tonight was worse than anything under Smith, and I don't think Knapper has any choice other than to act. There is quite literally no point in the club employing Knapper if he doesn't have autonomy - to all the conspiracy theorists suggesting he is in the pocket of other employees, why bother? Adams could just have been promoted internally if that was the case.
