1.
Can I just point out the obvious? If Deano doing well at West Ham means that Pardew is a better manager than Worthy, then Worthy is clearly a better manager than Bryan Robson, since Earnie is doing far better at Norwich than he did for West Brom all season... The problem with polarised arguments on these Boards is that they are only being made by people who have no interest in seeing the issue from a broader perspective. I think it''s great that Deano is doing well at his new club, just like I thought it was great when Sutton, Ruel, Bellamy, etc did well when they moved on...
I think you''ve got it spot on there Fick Fleck. To suggest that the only reason Deano is doing well for West Ham (when he didn''t have the best of seasons for us) is that Pardew''s a better manager/West Ham''s coaching staff are better is naive at best, ignorant at worst. Many top players have gone to top clubs and performed poorly - that does not mean the clubs are rubbish, or even that one is better than the other. It seems that a lot of people are only willing to concede/agree with the obvious when it suits their agenda.
  2.
We were lucky to get a draw - Worthy has got to go! We will never get promotion with him!
Never get promotion with him...Now I KNOW you''re a wind-up merchant! [:-P]
  3.
Another two points dropped. Useless subsitutions and more soft goals. We really should be beating the likes of Leeds. Worthy out!
Surely, that means that Worthington''s changes in tactics earned us a draw today. Or doesn''t it work that way?

  6.
if that is all you have got to complain about . thats a bit poor.. why not read the stats page and see what his record is like.. not go on about a few photos.. like most people i took tic..
Thing is, I''m sure if the club doctored some photos to prove their point then there would be absolute outrage! Seems to me like it''s a case of double standards... [;)]
  7.
Excellent first post, Rob, but you''ll find that (a) you''re banging your head against a brick wall and (b) you''ll be chastised by the pro-Worthy brigade for not following the party line.
Preciscely what IS the point of that post Link, other than to attempt to start yet another argument between your imaginary KTF and WO groupings?
  8.
I actually find this quite offensive.... I think you will find the ONLY worthy out chant from the norwich fans came with about 5 minutes to go. They did NOT sing it earlier in the match. If some Worthy Outers are doinmg a silent protest that should not stop the rest of the fans from singing (especially as there are so few worthy outers).
It''s not just the protests though. Frankly I don''t agree with them, but it is not my place to say what other supporters should/shouldn''t be doing. The thing that I really hate is the amount of abuse dished out towards Worthington on this and other messages boards; the childish images and name calling. Maybe he has reached the end of the road for Norwich City, but I think it''s shameful that people have forgotten exactly what he and the board have achieved over the last few years and don''t treat him with even the most basic respect.
  9. Is he even in PES5? I thought they only had Prem teams...
  10. Hughes is clearly the latest in a long line of whipping boys, á la Fleming, Doherty, Holt to name but three. Yes the guy hasn''t been at his best, but he has shown brief glimpses of quality (which I''m sure I''ll be slated for, they were flukes after all ;-)). I didn''t see Huckerby or Ashton receiving the same level of abuse for their distinctly below-par performances at the beginning of the season...Frankly, I''m not one to judge a player on just over half a season, particularly this half of a season - even the créme de la créme of players have dips in form. However, for all the rest of you who need a target at which to aim your vitriol when you can''t aim it at the manager for whatever reason (i.e. we won), then by all means carry on...
  11. Personally, I don''t really think it was neccessary for Worthington to moan at Hucks through the media, but I can kind of see where he''s coming from. People compared it to Arsene Wenger not telling Henry to try his tricks, but if anyone saw the Real game last night, when it got to the end of the match Henry didn''t try his tricks and instead ran it into the corner flag. Totally different scenario I know, and a much more important game, but the point I think Worthington was trying to make wasn''t to suggest Hucks should never run at players and show off (I don''t think he''s that stupid!), but when you''re 2-0 up and cruising to victory, not to do anything silly which might jeapordise that. For example, does anyone remember a certain game at Palace last season when we were 3-1 up and decided to go for another goal (apparently against the manager''s wishes)...?
  12. I''d quite like your computer to get "injured" Paul - at least we would have a few days break from your negative postings ;)And why is it that people feel the need to say the same thing time and time again on these message boards? Once is enough thanks
  13. I had guessed your post was tongue in cheek ZLF, as was mine.ABC and 5-star have always been good for me by the way :P
  14. There''s a little thing called context ZLF, but why let such menial things lie in the way of the usual daily "pull-apart-everything-Worthington-says-and-twist-it-to-mean-something-we-all-know-it didn''t" session, eh? ;)
  15.
These somersaults from the Welsh dwarf ..... sooner or later he`s going to get it wrong , and break his fool neck ! then what ? 4 mill down the pan ! Nigel and the board must watch him performing this stunt with a pained expression , bad enough when a scorer gets leapt on by mounds of playmates , suddenly increasing his weight by a factor of six + ! but Earnie in a neck brace for six months [ if he`s lucky ] ? let him confine himself to netting the ball [ courtesy of the hard work of Hucks and WLY ] and quit showboating !!
Wow, and to think that some people on this board have been accused of moaning for moaning''s sake... not enough negative news for you today sheded?
  16. But hey, just to make sure things are judged fairly...Scoring from an open net is still a sign of a good team. a) It was a good pass and play by Hucks to get it past the keeperb) Earnshaw was there.Ok, I''m going to quit playing Devil''s Advocate now... ;)
  17.
Worthy wasn''t even aware that Safri was on the pitch until he held his hand up.
I''m guessing that''s some sort of "American Humour"?
  18.
Following the Ipswich game I shall be a former supporter, supporter being one who supports his club financially, not a dictionary definition I know. Ipswich is the last of this seasons hat trick plan, with no intention of signing up for next year. After witnessing the appalling performances during this season. The club has had the last of my financial investment for now until the current management team is replaced. Who cares I hear you ask, well if I’m alone then noone but if there are others then the club will begin to take notice, and I am sure there are others certainly not posting on here. I shall however continue the light hearted banter with the misguided minority or is it majority who think Worthy and his merry men are doing a good job on this board. I expect to be back at Carrow Road to support our new management regime next season, finances will become tighter after the abject failure of this season and I fully expect them to make the necessary changes, when season tickets are not renewed, box holders don’t renew and shirt sponsors are renewed at a lower figure than Proton.
Is this one of those posts where you expect other people to give you a pat on the back? If you don''t want to renew/purchase tickets for NCFC home games then that''s wonderful, but let''s not make a song and dance of it eh?
  19. Very, very well written and persuasive post Rude.I have to say I agree with you on a lot of those points - Ashton just never "fitted in" when in the Championship. Whether this was Worthy''s fault for not using him to the best of his ability, or whether he wasn''t interested and was just biding time (or, more likely, a combination of both), I don''t think anyone could deny that he became less and less interested until that match against Soton when he was in the shop window.Would be interesting to know exactly what changed - you look at his face after the Fulham game last season and he looks genuinely gutted. Perhaps the rumours and lack of success got to him, or perhaps he was only ever really interested in using us to get Prem football? Whatever, that''s water under the bridge now, and I for one certainly wish Dean the best of luck at West Ham. He''s a decent guy and a superb footballer. It''s now Worthington''s last chance I feel. If he doesn''t get in players that work well, regardless of their reputations as good/bad players, then I think he should do the decent thing in the Summer...
  20.
Why not snap up "yarmy.net" while it''s still available? I always think that with domain names shorter is better..
It''s only 2 digits difference, and I''d think .net might be a bit misleading... Plus I always prefer .co.uk domains - we''re british dammit! ;) Have to say, I''ve seen previews of the site and it''s looking very nice. I hope the forum''s instant, as that is the one thing that frustrates me about the pinkun forum.
  21.
Well i hope you lot are proud of yourselfs. you have backed a poor manager all season and backed the poor team that he built. If you had backed calls for his head in november we might have had a new manager, be in the play-off positions and ashton would not have jumped ship.Oh i hear it now, you''ll all be shouting:-don''t worry he''ll sort it out.Strengthen the team he will! He''ll get it rightyou lot are all blind and totally under the P.R spin that this club spins out daily.Worthington is *** he''ll blow the cash on other second rate players.I''ll say it again Well done KTF''ers, you have sold dean ashton and any chance of this club progressing.
You are joking, aren''t you?! What a pathetic and ridiculous thing to say.
  22.
This is a message in support of Paul Rankin. Paul, I completely agree with your posts - if the heads in the sand brigade think that voicing your (valid) opinion is equivalent to the messageboard going down-hill, then they''re wrong. At least you have the guts to speak up, and after some of the performances this season, lord knows someone has to. It doesn''t make you any less of a true Norwich supporter. If anything it shows that you are passionate about our club. Keep posting, mate, something must be done about the shambolic way the team is being managed at the moment. We will never make the play offs as long as our main midfielders are Charlton, Hughes Jarret & Etuhu, as they don''t have any creativity between them. Football is a lot more than winning the ball & giving it to the forwards in the vain hope that they do something with it (Worthy''s coaching style). As for whoever started off this pathetic thread, glad you''re going. bye, miss you already.
I don''t think that''s Robbo''s point. The sheer quantity of threads stating the same thing over and over again, full of personal insults, are what makes this board very testing at times. I don''t think anyone would be stupid enough to suggest that only "KTFers" (or whatever label they''re given at the moment) should be posting on this board. At the same time, do you not agree than 6 posts started in 2 days advocating Worthington, whilst adding nothing new to any debate, would get just as tedious and frustrating? It''s very easy to go down the whole "it''s my opinion, if you don''t like it then don''t read it" route, but I think a lot of people say things on here that they wouldn''t dream of saying to peoples'' faces, which is where the problems lie IMO. That''s not guts, that''s cowardice.
  23. I don''t agree with the whole "if we were in a better position, Deano would still be here" argument. I would think the board offered him a new contract to try and keep him here in the Summer, and he negotiated the 10% fee in there because he knew he''d be off in January if anyone "decent" came in for him. Blatently, he hasn''t really given a toss this season - his performances on the whole were disinterested at the start of the season, and sickeningly, his hat trick only came when he was put in the shop window. For all the "I want to reward Norwich for taking a chance on me" statements, he showed no loyalty whatsoever, and clearly moved to Norwich with the intention of using the club as a stepping stone to greater things. Unfortunately, that''s football for you, and the board have secured a good fee for a player who wanted to go.Thanks for the goals Dean, all the best.
  24. I don''t want to sound rude, but why do some fans assume they know everything about the financial state of the club? Do you truly honestly believe that the club is in such a dire financial state, and if we were, would the board want to release this into the public domain or keep it quiet?Let''s think about how the club have done business in the past regarding transfers and just wait and see. Maybe you''re right but I would think there is a lot more to come.
