  1. No, the kidneys are more left or right back. Apologies, I'll get my coat, and also congratulations to Shae.
  2. I keep seeing people say this and I actually thought he was dreadful against West Ham - probably his worst game in a norwich shirt. But isn't he near the top of the premier league 'chances created' stat as was posted the other day on here? Sure he's not been as dominant as in the championship but surely no-one expected him to be? I also noted that most teams seem to have watched back some of our games last season, as Buendia is been given very little time and space on the ball. He's going to have to learn to deal with this.
  3. As far as I'm concerned, Farke can play a unicorn in goal, Ann Widdicombe upfront, and nine Mark Fotheringham clones (to do the fozzy flick - but only in our own penalty box) and I don't care if we go down doing so. I've hated watching Norwich play negative football under Hughton, then after Alex Neil's understandable but lamentable change of tactics. We're know for a certain brand of football, at least as far back as my support goes (early 90s). I'd rather play that way and lose, possibly even go down, than compromise the principles and style put in place over the previous two season. I'm not pointing fingers - because I don't read this forum carefully enough to pay attention to who's posting what - but I'm surprised at how many people seem to be aggravated at the loss. I think a degree of patience and stoicism is called for. We were in complete control of the match for the first 20 minutes before Halle hacked down Zimmerman, then targeted him for the goal. Fine margins, as Farke said. Do people remember the start of last season? Pretty sure I read many of the same arguments here at that time too, and that didn't turn out too badly, huh?
  4. He's been rubbing me up the wrong way as well. Nothing egregious, just little snipes here and there. It's like we're married.
  5. We had 3 points from the first 4 games last season in the championship. If we follow the same progress as last season, I look forward to being crowned Premier League Champions next year.
  6. 1) he was very good. Him or Lewis for MOM (from norwich perspective) 2) rubbish. here is your troll toll. 🎣
  7. Emi had his worst game today. Does seem to be struggling with confidence, practically nothing came off for him. I'd give him a 4/10, Stiepermann likewise. Let's hope Daniel can pick them both up. Kenny looked bright when he came on, and at least Drmic got some minutes and a touch of the ball. And if we have anymore bad luck with our CBs I might go to a quiet room and have a little cry. Healthy to let it out. Zimmerman was immense before he was clattered by that lummox. (thanks PL refs, great job).
  8. All in U21 squad. Well done boys. On PinkUn main page. https://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city/norwich-trio-set-for-england-u21-call-ups-1-6243222
  9. I feel foolish even asking, but presumably there's nowhere streaming it tonight?
  10. Inept? They all did fine. In fact Vrancic was probably the worst of them all, and he was fine too.
  11. For a former player, Ekoku isn't exactly partisan towards Norwich is he? Practically the opposite.
  12. We all fail tests from time to time. It's how we brag about setting them on the internet that counts. 😉 PS - Yes I believe he was.
  13. Always liked him and used to use him as a litmus test to work out if my fellow fans were berks or not (e.g. "that Rian Benet (misspelt) keep trying to play long passes but he aint no good at it")
  14. Crystal Palace in particular look terrible so far.
  15. If it was Adrian Durham then just ignore him. He's basically a Donald Trump-esque troll doll but switched around the orange skin / pallid hair for orange hair and pallid skin. If it wasn't him, then I still don't like him. Actually, whilst I'm at it, has James Corden ever said anything negative about Norwich as I'd like to have a go at him as well?
  16. I am so thankful for Jamal Lewis right now.
  17. They've been having some crazy weather of late in Holland, which might mitigate the blame a little, but this is why I would never ever be a structural engineer for all the tea in china - too much liability working with your hands tied behind budgetary constraints.
  18. Don't write Tom off just yet, he's always been a slow starter (as well as an unfeasibly slow runner) and seems takes a while to get into his rhythm. Whether he still has his place in the side by that point in time is not so clear. I have faith he can make the step up.
  19. I wouldn't be surprised if Daniel doesn't make any changes. He stuck with the same team for two or three games at the start of the last season, despite losses - and last season didn't work out too badly for us. That said, Leitner really changed the feel of the game when he came on yesterday, so I'd like to see him in for someone - either McClean or Stiepe, even though dropping anyone is harsh. Omitting Hanley from discussion as it was evidently a bad day for him.
  20. Damn. I bet at 16/1 a few weeks ago, as soon as I recovered from choking on the vitriol that such disrespectful odds gave me. Yes, Liverpool are an excellent side, and we're newly promoted, but the bookies could have their @rses hanging out the window with this one, because we're not a 25/1 shot. What's the actual record for longest odds for a team to win in the Premier League? This must be close, surely?
  21. Tom's one of my favourite players but watching him run is like one of those nightmares where you try to get away from a monster but the floor is covered in superglue and treacle. That said, his lack of (both pace and) acceleration is one of the reasons I imagine he has such excellent game-reading and anticipation.
  22. Oh, I was getting a bit ahead of myself then. I was entering super smug mode and taunting my liverpool supporting mates that we were steamrolling Schalke who were ahead of us in their preseason. Never mind. Still 0 - 3 to us at Anfield.
  23. Was that Mo not being able to get it past first man from a corner twice in a row?
  24. I'm not sure if anyone else's stream is doing what mine is, but super-slowed down German commentary with heavily encoded audio is terrifying.
  25. Would be ideal competition for Stiep's position. Evidently very different players, but always good to have a plan B. That said, he didn't exactly hang about when trying to get out of here, so he might have burnt that particular bridge.
