1. Thought Snoddy had a good game to be fair. The fact that he was against the best if not one of the best left backs in the world today may have made things difficult.
2. Ha ha. Hopefully all the twits on here predicting our doom have f##ked off and got man utd shirts since the Chelsea game. We don''t need them. Had faith at the the start of the season and will always surrport the team and manager happy clapper or not.
3. Either would be fine. We wont be buying anyone much better than what we already have as this would upset the squad. Whoever comes in would have to be willing to wait it out for a chance as the starting 11 have been outstanding in the last ten games.
4. Still we are 10 points clear and since chelsea we have been solid at the back and r playing much better football than last season. I can''t c us being in the relegation mix come what may. It''s not going to be easy but there are 5,6,7 teams much worse than us.
5. Good post. Don''t know why such a low reply count (apart from one idiot) I was told get real after losing to liverpool and I said we would still finish around 10/12th now I am thinking more 7/8th. The team is playing with more confidence every game and I cannot see anyone beating us at the min. I wanted a reading win tonight as we r already safe and should be looking at the teams around us and above now starting with a win against WBA then Chelsea and maybe a point against man. City. Come on you yellows hughtons green army!
6. Torres all day.. Can''t understand the criticism of him. Wouldn''t want Rooney. Most over rated player ever.
7. Win against Wigan and we can stop talking the bottom 3 and look above us.
8. Chris hughton that''s why. We''ve improved in every area. But the best change has been lambert out hughton in. Simple.
9. Come back when swans can score a goal like pilkington vs Sunderland. 28 pass move with end result. Swans pass it around for the sake of it. At the end of the day we won fair and square and you just have to face facts that Swansea just cannot beat us.
10. Some of the fans are still crying over shambert departing and can''t understand why we ain''t playing gung ho and losing 3-2 every week but "gave it a really good go". We r having our biggest unbeaten run in the top flight since 1980 plus have our best manager in years but some will always be negative. I couldn''t care less if we had 1 shot on target but win 1-0 every game tbh. Better that than the championship.
11. I fear they may already have turned to the dark side of east anglia. They may be too old to start there training! But showing them a vid of the spankings we gave them should do the trick.
12. Would have him here in an instant . I think he is better than Morrison and Jackson plus he scored 14 last season so 5m plus would be a steel. Proberbly a load of bull tho.
13.
At this point in time, I think it''s pretty risky loaning Martin out. I think he is the most suitable backup for Hoolahan, in that position that sits behind the striker. Hughton''s preferred formation and blueprint for survival is 4-2-3-1 with the key being Hoolahan in the middle of the attacking 3 midfielders but if Hoolahan was to get injured we will not have a similar type player to bring in to fill that position - now that Butterfield in also out on loan. Yes we do have wingers, wide players, box to box midfielders at the club and can take them and switch them from their positions - but none of these will cut it "in the hole" where Hoolahan plays. I''m not saying Martin (or Butterfield) are anywhere near as good as Hoolahan - but from what I have seen of Martin, he is the closest we have to filling that role. Unfortuately Hughton has not realise this and has preferred to get him games rather than hold him as insurance for that pivotal role.
hopefully howson or snoddgrass could fill in if hoolahan was out. Much preferred than Martin!
14. Reading 0-3 Norwich are defence is to good for them to score and chance to get goals against a week defence.
15. Why does everything he does has to be compared to lambert. If we finish 13th or below but not relegated that''s a great season. Let''s not forget it was the players as well as lambert that got us where we are. The players are still here, lambert has moved on and not quite as good as we thought he was ie villa are still crap. Let''s just be happy we have a decent manager to carry on the good work. My personal opinion is we will finish around 11/12th.
