How many going to watch Real Zaragossa?
canary_bird replied to Yorkshire Canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I would have thought it was better value to pay £15 for Real Z or Parma than the same amount to see us play Gorleston - and I''m going to both. -
Palace stitched on for promotion then ... Going to Southend Thurs night, hoping for a better result!

Well said, Unique. It would be good if the group of blokes behind me in the Jarrold don''t start getting on certain players'' backs as soon as a few passes go astray.

Why do people question Lamberts decisions?
canary_bird replied to Ncfc26's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
It''s going to be a steep learning curve next season and mistakes are going to be made but as far as I''m concerned PL is the perfect manager for us and I wouldn''t swap him for anyone. -
New Season Ticket is here!
canary_bird replied to barclaystand's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
After ripping the envelope open, I was rather underwhelmed by the whiteness of the season ticket - but what the heck, it''s only to get into the ground after all! -
Home casual ticket prices announced

Perhaps some people are beginning to think it would have been better if we hadn''t got promotion after all ... what were all the celebrations about then ? -
Which Pundits have written us off?

Mickey Quinn on Talksport ... I remember watching him play against us for Coventry, he ''fell over'' in the penalty area and someone nearby shouted out "Save the Whale"... -
I think Ipswich will do well this year...

I think Ipswich will do well this year ... to stay in the Championship. -
My Dad ran a village newsagents in mid-Norfolk (Foulsham) in the 60s, I remember the shop being full on a Saturday evening, the Eastern Counties bus would pull up outside and a lad, usually wearing a City scarf , would jump off with a bundle of Pink Uns which were then seized on with great enthusiasm. When we moved to Wymondham I used to walk down to the town to pick one up most Saturdays. Later on, only bought one when we had won convincingly, still got a few of them around to this day.

Poor City fan ...buried next to a binner! -
Congratulations to Neil on his appointment, I''m sure he will do a fine job but I''ll certainly miss him on Canary Call. I''d love Paul McVeigh to take over, can''t wait to see how he deals with Barry and all those other fascinating callers.

SKY..PILKS WADDA PLAYER!!!
canary_bird replied to Eadienhucks's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
It was really nice to read today that both Lee Clarke and Michael Rose spoke highly of the club and fans to Pilkington, which obviously encouraged him to sign for us. I''ve got a lot of time for Lee Clarke and was pleased to know that he must have enjoyed the short time he was here (despite it being during Roedent''s "tenure"). -
It was reported on Talksport that Jason Roberts has "laughed off" rumours that he was in talks with 1p5wich, LOL

My first thought was "Oh, is that it ...?" but the more I''ve seen it (and watched the video ... I''m up to 155,000 views now), the more it''s grown on me. Simple, stylish and classy.

canary_bird replied to Pete Raven's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Cheaper than Stevenage last year then ! -
My 1p5wich season ticket holder friend was there, would be bad enough for them to have to listen to PL doing the introduction, PLEASE tell me they showed some of our 9 goals against the scum as well !!!! Would really have made their evening!

Villa after new manager?
canary_bird replied to First Wizard's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Although it is obvious that PL has huge potential, I would have thought that Villa (and Everton, when/if the time comes) would be looking for someone with a lot more experience, certainly of managing in the Premier League or equivalent level in another country. -
I feel compelled to share this video...
canary_bird replied to InLambertWeTrust!'s topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Good work, brought back all the excitement and exhilaration of last season - let''s hope we get to hear that goal music a good few times in the Premier League! -
Warnock not a happy chappy.....
canary_bird replied to unique's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I would say PL''s achievement was far greater, being a relatively inexperienced manager who had not managed in the Championship before, whereas Warnock has been a manager in the Premier League. I agree with Canarino, he could have been rather more magnanimous. -
If we do even reasonably well next and subsequent seasons in the Prem, PL would have the pick of any managerial positions. Why would he risk dropping down to the Championship to a club that is a disaster area, there is no certainty that he can take them straight back up and he could end up with a big blot on his CV. I would think we are a far safer bet for ultimately furthering his career and progression to a "bigger" (although not better) club.

Giant canary in the crowd
canary_bird replied to Block Y Seat 176's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
As far as I know apart from us there are 4 other Clubs with the Canaries nickname:Nantes (France)Fenerbahce (Turkey)St. Truiden (Belguim)Novi Sad (Serbia & Montenegro)
Is that solely because they have yellow shirts? - whereas we have the Norwich canary breed.
