1. I would have thought it was better value to pay £15 for Real Z or Parma than the same amount to see us play Gorleston - and I''m going to both.
2. Palace stitched on for promotion then ... Going to Southend Thurs night, hoping for a better result!
3. Well said, Unique. It would be good if the group of blokes behind me in the Jarrold don''t start getting on certain players'' backs as soon as a few passes go astray.
4. It''s going to be a steep learning curve next season and mistakes are going to be made but as far as I''m concerned PL is the perfect manager for us and I wouldn''t swap him for anyone.
5. After ripping the envelope open, I was rather underwhelmed by the whiteness of the season ticket - but what the heck, it''s only to get into the ground after all!
6. Perhaps some people are beginning to think it would have been better if we hadn''t got promotion after all ... what were all the celebrations about then ?
7. Mickey Quinn on Talksport ... I remember watching him play against us for Coventry, he ''fell over'' in the penalty area and someone nearby shouted out "Save the Whale"...
8. I think Ipswich will do well this year ... to stay in the Championship.
9. My Dad ran a village newsagents in mid-Norfolk (Foulsham) in the 60s, I remember the shop being full on a Saturday evening, the Eastern Counties bus would pull up outside and a lad, usually wearing a City scarf , would jump off with a bundle of Pink Uns which were then seized on with great enthusiasm. When we moved to Wymondham I used to walk down to the town to pick one up most Saturdays. Later on, only bought one when we had won convincingly, still got a few of them around to this day.
10. Congratulations to Neil on his appointment, I''m sure he will do a fine job but I''ll certainly miss him on Canary Call. I''d love Paul McVeigh to take over, can''t wait to see how he deals with Barry and all those other fascinating callers.
11. It was really nice to read today that both Lee Clarke and Michael Rose spoke highly of the club and fans to Pilkington, which obviously encouraged him to sign for us. I''ve got a lot of time for Lee Clarke and was pleased to know that he must have enjoyed the short time he was here (despite it being during Roedent''s "tenure").
12. If it''s the only thing for them to get enthusiastic about, it doesn''t say much about their prospects for the new season, does it?
13. It was reported on Talksport that Jason Roberts has "laughed off" rumours that he was in talks with 1p5wich, LOL
14. My first thought was "Oh, is that it ...?" but the more I''ve seen it (and watched the video ... I''m up to 155,000 views now), the more it''s grown on me. Simple, stylish and classy.
15. My 1p5wich season ticket holder friend was there, would be bad enough for them to have to listen to PL doing the introduction, PLEASE tell me they showed some of our 9 goals against the scum as well !!!! Would really have made their evening!
16. Although it is obvious that PL has huge potential, I would have thought that Villa (and Everton, when/if the time comes) would be looking for someone with a lot more experience, certainly of managing in the Premier League or equivalent level in another country.
17. Good work, brought back all the excitement and exhilaration of last season - let''s hope we get to hear that goal music a good few times in the Premier League!
18. It seems that they don''t have anything to talk about other than slating us ... pretty sad really, isn''t it!
19. I would say PL''s achievement was far greater, being a relatively inexperienced manager who had not managed in the Championship before, whereas Warnock has been a manager in the Premier League. I agree with Canarino, he could have been rather more magnanimous.
20. If we do even reasonably well next and subsequent seasons in the Prem, PL would have the pick of any managerial positions. Why would he risk dropping down to the Championship to a club that is a disaster area, there is no certainty that he can take them straight back up and he could end up with a big blot on his CV. I would think we are a far safer bet for ultimately furthering his career and progression to a "bigger" (although not better) club.
21.
As far as I know apart from us there are 4 other Clubs with the Canaries nickname:Nantes (France)Fenerbahce (Turkey)St. Truiden (Belguim)Novi Sad (Serbia & Montenegro)
Is that solely because they have yellow shirts? - whereas we have the Norwich canary breed.
22. Just looked him up on Wikipedia ... it says he was born in 1p5wich !!!
