1.

i''ve heard we''re suppose be signing someone very soon, been negotiations going on for a while. So this tenuous car link sounds a little more reliable than you expect i think. I have no idea who the player is, see people saying Tierney is having a medical, dont think will be to bad a signing if true.
I have to reply given you are one of the two people not to absolutely mock my post!  I know how weak a link it is, hence I gave the health warning at the top of the page.  BUT..   I am at Carra every day for work and I have noticed Lamberts car - Maserati last year, Audi this season - has been parked outside maybe 10 times and on about half of these occasions I have noticed that within the next day or so there has been either a signing or a loan.  Logic being that he is here to do paperwork or contracts with McNally.   So much that this time, given we are in the transfer window and a signing is likely, I thought I would mention it...  Subsequently there has been this rumour about Tierney medical so could MAYBE be something in it.   If nothing else, I have provided some people some entertainment at the tenuous link...
lets see what the next 48 hours brings and see if ur instinct on this is right, i think it may be

 3.
This is well and truely the toughest decision at the moment !Unfortunatly the only certainty is that Askou is both manager and fans 5th man :(However , I am troiling back in my recent memory and we have been crying out ( controversial in regards to Doc ) for a decent centreback for years ! Now we appear to have 4 top rate centre backs. Its a really hard choice , my favourites would be  :-  Barnett and Whitbreadhowever given Nelson''s form you just cant leave him off the teamsheet ! So because of Whitbreads fitness I say Barnett and Whitbread.Unfortunatly it does mean for me Ward does not get a look in either really, he is let down by the fact he has little naps and the frequent bad passing.Still cant take away Ward is classy.
i think i compleatly agree with this. Barnett and Whitbread i think will hold down the starting place if they both keep fit, i rate ward but does have lapses in concentration leading to silly goals. i really like nelson he really impresses me but i think from previous comments from the management team Whitbread is suppose to be quality while Barnett has done a great job since arriving and im sure he cost a fait bit, im sure the idea was to have him start. But like you say its a really tought one, never had such great depth in CB in the last 10 years for sure
 4.
Re Holty that really is excellent news. When i used to follow his twitter I used to be shocked at how often Holt and Michael nelson were heading back up to Hartlepool/Carlisle in between matches/training. If Holt''s family are now down here as well then (provided they settle ok) that can only be a very good thing for him and the club.
i thought holt had shut down his twitter
 5.

"I agreed that Norwich could interview Paul" Was I correct then? I know I''m getting older but my memory isn''t that bad!
Muddy, if you were Cowling and you received a telephone call from Bowkett on the Saturday asking for permission to appoint Lambert as Norwich manager ( as included in the statement you supplied here ) would you have believed that a conversation had already taken place between Norwich and Paul Lambert? Further, ( still assuming you were in Cowling''s position ) if you believed that it was an unusual request  would you have asked Bowkett on the Saturday to confirm if discussions had already taken place between Norwich and Lambert? Of course, I don''t know what occurred but I personally find it difficult to believe that a conversation had not already taken place before Cowling gave Norwich permission on the following Monday to interview Lambert ( with conditions as stated ).
Conversations obviously went on, McNally and Lambert are old pals. But permission seems like it was granted to speak to lambo too. However according to the statement it says no interview was conducted, so Lambert was obviously a sure''un for the job and it had all been arranged before hand. Lambert handed his resignation in so we didn''t have to pay the rest of his contract in full and the breach of contract fees, that''s where there argument was i think, we ended up having to pay preety hefty fine in the end ''cos it was preety obvious there had been discusions among norwich and lambert for him to cancel his contract with colchester. thats football though, tapping up everywhere
 6.
Well Malky is very possibly the #1 replacement for Lambert when / if he does leave. So maybe he wont want to go to Burnley as he is holding out for the Norwich job ? That said a cardinal rule of careers is not to wait or expect a job to come up where you want it.
I dont think he will our next manager, he''s an ex player who started off his managerial carrer well, but under Mcnally we will look for the best possible manager out there when we eventually do lose Lambert, not just an ex player. Im sure Malky would apply for the job, but he def aint no sure run in for the job.
 7. i cant get radio norfolk still today, says the current programme unavailable. Can anyone out of norfolk get it
 8. The club did nothing wrong in any of this, just had to deal with Burnle trying unstable us a little bit, which was obvious when they posted their statement late in the evening hoping we wouldnt respond letting it boil overnight. Club responded brilliantly by denying it straight away, lambert did what he thought was best and denied it to (by agreeing with the club) and then focusing on the game. Think there may have been surprise into the amount of press coverage over this rumour but that''s because lambert such hot property at the moment. Not much to learn from this expeirence i would say for the club, the hype was coming on here more than anywhere else
 9.
Arsenal equalise, Hughes on, another game to come for them to wear them out, especially if Bendtner continues to miss chances like he just has.
best result, is bruce injured? only saw first half
 10. just watching the arsenal  v leeds game and noticed how they said leeds were the big team in league 1 last season. It pissed me off at first then thought there have been people on here complaining about how leeds get all the attention still after we beat them to the title last year and we are ahead of them this year. Then thought about the press coverage we got over this lambert situation and it had so many people skitting out.  My point is there is no point worrying about the press coverage leeds get because look at what it does to us when we do get it and the effect it had on leeds last season in the second half, i would be happier the longer it goes with us getting second rate coverage to leeds, or any other team at the moment
 11.

is holt still on there, aint been able see his messages for a while
Nope! He deleted it, try searching for it, it will say ''profile does not exist'' or something.
Have you tried searching it?Don''t worry, its only the top result in Google for ''Grant Holt Twitter'' [^o)]http://twitter.com/#!/grantholtyfooty
yeah that is a fake noticed it a while ago that one, he must of taken it down, wonder why, maybe a club suggestion?
 12. is holt still on there, aint been able see his messages for a while
 13. i think this is what many people on here thought was happening anyway. when he had the chance to comment on the burnley link, he stated he agreed with NCFC and put the focus on the next game. This shouldnt have really surprised anyone considering a few weeks ago he said how much he loved it here and wouldnt be going anywhere. So his aim was to keep the club running a long as usual, trying to get everyone to focus on the game. I think this interview shows how he was a bit surprised his friday morning comment didn''t stop the rumours, it should have been enough for everyone. Then being hassled when getting in the car, he was never going to be happy about, espicially after thinking he had already clarified all the rumours. In the end i think NCFC after all the press pressure got him to release a much more definitive statement, which obviously he could have done on friday morning, but im sure he thought what he said was enough and he was probably more frustrated than anything that people are focusing on him going rather than city''s next game, which is important. The strongest team wont be put out but we''ll want to win, anyone who says we shouldnt go to win it is ignorant really, we need the money the fa cup brings and its a good chance for some non starters to get a game.
 14.
Pathetic.
I''m compleatly with you, the fans attitude on this site over last 3 days has been ansolutely shocking, fickle fans sure he was gone, talk about new manager and lambert being a judas- they should all be ashamed of themselves. I know some were just worried but there were a lot of anti NCFC posts at a time when we are performing the best football for a long time. I wish i could be at the game today, just hope everyone who was negative nakes up for it at the game
 15. Just came back on the site after leaving it for the day, great result, glad almost all the worries have stopped, like lambert wanted all along, lets focus on the next game, o and some good new on the transfer situation next week!!
 16. Spot on SWP, everyone reading to much into every advancement in this story. Lambert came out recently saying he wasnt going anywhere and loved it here. These quotes just show he dont wana be asked about leaving again, he told us his intentions when he was asked before when linked to another job, i bet he''s fed up with questions linking him and his players to another team. Norwich had made a statement which he is happy with and he just wants to focus on his job of winning the next game, as he does everytime- he takes everygame as it comes and goes from there. Lambert will be here in the summer and we will hopefully be back in the prem where we belong
 17. He won''t be going im gonna say i am 100% certain of it and we will all see in the press conference in the morning. McNally the reason he came, he''s the reaosn he''ll stay
 18.
It''s been dragging on for too long not to be happening. The rumours about him and Burnley started a week ago, and, in all that time, not one words from Lambert or the club denying either that specific rumour or a general one committing his future to the club. He seems to think he has taken us as afar as he can-all these remarks about "survival", "staying up" etc, does that mean thats all he thinks he can do here and that promotion isn''t going to happen? He made that comment about players, if they needed to be sold, it would cause "trouble", maybe there were signs of discontent when he made that statement, maybe he was already considering his options then, was there money promised that he hasn''t seen, was the signing of Wilbraham symbolic of how we were going to strengthen the squad, was that the straw that broke the camels back?? He''s hugely ambitious, and, if he gets Burnley up and then moves on again, will they be THAT bothered if he has at least got them back into the Premier League? Doubt it. But, for us, his leaving now would be about as bad a time as you can imagine, we have momentum, confidence, a dressing room behind him, wanting to play for him. Maybe (ao many "maybe''s") if he does move on, then staying up will be the best we can hope for anyway? And whats McNally''s role in all of this, he has been remarkably quiet of late. Has there been a fall out? is he negotiating with Burnley, has he written Lambert off and is prepared to let him go? Quite honestly, if Lambert wants to go, lets not try to persuade him to stay. if he wants out, let him go, and lets get whatever we can from Burnley for him. If that is the case, the sooner he fucks off, the better as far as I am concerned. He was "bubbling under" at Colchester, but it is this club that has made him and made his reputation as a Manager, and this club that has backed him with money that we don''t have. Its football, we did it to Colchester, now it is being done to us, it is likely we will approach a Manager in work ourselves to replace him, that is the way of things. Let him go by all means, but if he does go, then one thing the club must do is resolutely deny Burnley any chance to speak to any of our players, at all, any time, period. Because he will, sure as hell, want to take some of them with him. Holt for certain-and you think he (Holt) might just be interested. The real test for our Board will be the calibre of the man they seek to replace him with. Do we think and act big-or fumble around and appoint another soft and easy option?
Sorry i dont look to attack people for thier opinions and views, but this statement is ridiculus, i cant believe u just wasted a good 10 mins of your life writting that. I''m not gonna start to point out the flaws in your argument, the whole thing is absurd, I hope your just looking to get some debate going ''cos otherwise u must live in a very depressed world being so pessimistic
 19. people need to stop shitting themselves, lambert wont leave, not now half way through a season with us in this permission, he has to much self-respect for that i am sure. there''s no point saying why would he go to burnley as there are obvious lures like  alittle bit more cash to offer him and its nearer to his home, but there are many reasons to stay at city too. This statement isn''t to worrying, you see it happen a lot, clubs making statements about apporaching managers and nothing comes from it. It could just be the owners/directors way to show the fans they are trying to get the top managers, so that when they end up with some out of job rubbish manager the club can say at least we tried to get the best. The rules are that no club can apporach another manager whilst he''s in another job, without the clubs permission. So although there could have been talk between thier representatives it could have lead to nothing, or his agent, like any good agent, is just trying get him on a higher wage at city, while lambert himself could be pushing the club for greater transfer budget among many things. You guys can keep shitting yourselfs but im sure he will be here at least till the end of the seaosn
 20.
Lambert is an ambitious man but he is still learning his trade. He seems to have developed a formulae that has worked at different levels with players of lesser ability and power. Taking on a job in the Premier League will be a HUGE step up. Big ego''s, player power etc etc. I expect him to be Norwich manager for another 12-18 months, moving on in June 2012 if we are not successful in gaining promotion within that time frame. Enjoy the ride. HRH
spot on lets leave it at this
 21. i hate commenting on this stuff but i''ll do it before or the s**t rumours come in.I dont think a prem club, espicially the 3 u mention would come in for lambert, he has no prem experience yet, they wouldnt take the gamble when in such vunerable situations.Lamberts here for a while and lets be happy and leave it there (not having a go at u OP)
 22. GK - Rudd DR - K.Smith DL - S. Smith (if fit)DC - Whitbread DC - NelsonML - LappinMC - Gill MC - Tudor-Jones MR - McNamee S - Wilbraham S - Jackson
 23.
Ruddy R.Martin, Barnett, Nelson, Drury Smith, Crofts, Lappin Hoolahan Holt, C.Martin
Agree with this, however dont think martin will start, not because he had a bad game, he had a good game against QPR just he looked so tired by the end of it, think he may get a rest, jackson upfront- unfortuantly i havnt seen jackson play for us properly yet but i just think martin may get rested- how long is fox out for?
 24.

I''d say cover at RB and like you say someone in the Crofts mould, although I wouldn''t want to see Russell back
If Lansbury signs for the rest of the season he actually is a very good right back, just does not like playing there. He is also a very good goalkeeper it may surprise you to know
Yeah i heard this few times from die hard arsenal fans about lansbury.I would like to see him bought back for the rest of the season. i think if we do sign someone mayb just one quality player, striker or midfielder (prefer striker) and cheap cover at RB, saving some money for any emergency loans we may need as the season goes on.I dont like this talk about cover for someone, no ones place should be guaranteed so whoever we bring in needs to be quality to challange for a place in a team where everyone is playing well. Does anyone know how long fox is out for, if a while then would like to see another work hard midfielder who can defend but is better than Korey.I would be surprised though if we bring anyone in with much quality, i dont think theres any position we desperately need, except RB, but whats point in bringing in cover, they may just get pissed off at never getting played, i think a loan player could do the job there if needed at any point.this is the strongest team we have had in years, a lot of depth, wont be good enough for prem and we are probably in need of another quality striker to play with holt, but the link up play between Wes, Martin and Holt has worked wonders for year and a half now.On oli Johnson i think hes being kept at the club so they can work with him in training, they prob dont want him going to a team where they dont know there trainign methods- he hasnt been in pro football for long so he probably still has a lot of raw talent which needs to be moulded with the right training methods. Although matches will do him a world of good, theres no point sending him out if the club dont think they turned him into the player they want yet- if that makes sense, makes sense in my head!
 25. this was the first game i have actually been able to go to this season (although seen the games which u can get online), since at uni up in leeds and dont have a season ticket anymore.have to say it was the one the best i have seen from carrow rd since i have been going, about 10 years. i was highly impressed with out attacking players, they all linked up extremely well and played some very nice football, when they went down to 10 men, we spent 15/20 mins just lining up shots.on the cb i been saying nelson should get another shout at first choice, alongside barnett. nelson and whitebread were awesome today, very solid both of them. espicially impressed with whitbreads performance since its his first game in along time, but Nelson was my MoM (followed closely by R. Martin and Wes), does what u want from a cb without any noisence. i read on here alot about his long balls/hoofs but they were all aimed at someone today, u can see the strikers calling for it when hes got the ball, to me that shows in triaing they practice his long passes out of defence and with holt and wilbraham up front a nice long pass from a cb can cause havoc.i also given Wes a bit stick in pass, the seaosn we went down i didnt think he tracked back enough and showed enough determination (i know others will disagree) but today he was first to charge down players, all over the pitch and great going forward as ever, he just plays in a way defenders dont expect and it causes serious problems- great game for him.Chrissy Martin as-well worked his socks off, great link up play and did well top the diamond, however defiently should have scored, espicially the one from 3 yards out in the 2nd half- i was having to sit in N&P and saw Keeny dived before martin shot and he still hit it that way, the shot at end wasn''t bad, nice save from kenny and he martin must have been knackered, was a solid run from him.Only disapointment today if being picky was Korey, poor passing and weak going forward, but very solid doing defensive job and that was his main  task with such an attacking midfield. On lambert, only just heard these rumours about Burnley, is it serious, cant imagine why it would be/why he would want to go, but seen how the burnley fans confident about it. thought his tactics were great today, good game to play 2 big strikers, useful for a counter and QPR always vunerable to that when they play so attacking too. However would like see another sub in last 10 mins, martin was dead and some fresh legs could been useful to break away with the ball in last 10 min- can understand why he didnt want make sub and upset team, just thought all our forwards looked exhausted and would have liked to grab a 2nd in the last mins on a counter.Last point QPR were poor and thats because we made them look average, if we can continue playing like that and how we have been most of the season i honestly think we can gain automatic promotion- havent wanted to talk about it before and was just hoping for mid table this season, but on this form and with such a great team harmony i think we have a great chance and really need to push on for the title- lets stop this relegation talk nonsense and admit how good we are, because this ist he ebst city side i have ever seen!
