  1. The podcasts have descriptions, you can read what its about without listening.
  2. From transfer windows to formations, from man-management to getting the sack. Craig Levein and Amy Irons explore what it takes to survive as a football manager A podcast from the BBC, only three episodes so far but interesting chats with Tony Pulis and Ian Holloway. Not had a listen yet but I'm sure there are many on here who would enjoy.
  3. "You shouldn't stop recycling – but recycling alone isn't the solution. The sad truth is that less than 10% of everyday plastic – the plastic packaging that the things we buy is wrapped in – actually gets recycled in the UK." (Greenpeace, 2021) With this in mind, the strategy of cutting down how much we use seems sensible. Hence the policy of: 1, Reduce 2, Reuse 3, Recycle

  5. Out of the two its his pace that is the concern, looks a handful to outmuscle but will the pace of the Prem be a step beyond? I think so. edit: Spelling
  6. "William Carvalho is a donkey", a quote regularly said by my Portuguese housemate. I for one would not be happy with this addition.
  7. I was lucky enough to see Bon Iver in an incredible Roman amphitheater cut into the cliff mountain top overlooking Lyon in 2019. I have to say its probably one of the most magical moment of my life, just after sunset the bright moon in the distance started to go from full to crescent then slowly back again! A Lunar Eclipse! A memory I will always cherish.
  8. When you factor in the addition, of the one time purchase, annual Membership for £25 it makes the cost of those casual home fan tickets nearly £75.
  9. Thanks for telling us again, maybe you could say the same thing tomorrow in another thread too.
  10. I don't know the rules and laws exactly. But, I think it would be down to the interpretation of what the booing amounted to be, if it is thought to be vocalizing a racist opinion then the club would be within their rights to eject the individual.
  11. This is a good place to remind people of one of our own players positions on this, the views of Christoph Zimmermann when interviewed on the topic in December 2020. Why Christoph Zimmermann isn't taking the knee (Paraphrased) "Somebody's decision whether or not to take the knee is a personal one. Zimmermann decided he would respectfully stand. That is his choice and he remains completely against racism and the cause for social justice. That decision doesn't make Christoph Zimmermann a racist. Nor does it mean he subscribes to the anti-Black Lives Matter campaign that has been launched in some quarters. Instead of booing, Zimmermann opts to respect the choice of others. He may not kneel himself but is respectful to those who do. That is the crux of the debate, he is respectful to others with a different perspective. From his perspective, this is not something that can go on forever." Be like Christoph, respect others right to take the knee if they wish. If you cannot be respectful to our own players then you need to think about why you attend football as a supporter of these same players. For those that might decide to Boo the gesture, just remember that a Norwich City "fan" was ejected for exactly that at one of our games last season.
  12. Going to join in on the prediction fun! Final league position: 15th, staying up and and to get at least 12 points from a possible 36 vs the "big 6" Top Scorer: Got to back Pukki, but I think it will be a close run thing with Idah making a late run for our golden boot. Player of the Season: Grant Hanley, if he can keep fit I think the captain will be vital for us and will earn the fan favorite title for his whole hearted performances. Negative Prediction: Neither Todd or Max will be with us at the start of our next campaign, one to leave in January.
  13. I hope you merely play the fool, if not I'm sorry for those that have to experience your pessimism in person. If I may offer a word of caution, "research shows perseverative negative thinking (e.g. worry, rumination) predicts subsequent depression and worse medical outcomes, suggesting interventions targeting perseverative negative thinking could improve depression and medical outcomes." Perseverative definition within psychology, "the continual involuntary repetition of a thought or behavior Perseveration is said to occur when the patient continues to give the answer to the previous question in response".
  14. I think he needed a star performance today in order to push for the England squad. I think he will miss out now as he hasn't shown much in the last few games compared to his competition. Pleased for him and Leicester to get the win as it clearly meant so much more to them.
  15. I enjoyed the pendulum swing of emotion in the crowd on this occasion, as I was leaning to favour Leicester. But overall its annoying and hate it for City games!
  16. Whether the price tag of £25m is correct or not I feel it is the general consensus that we will be looking to sell some of our most valuable assets this summer. So this being the case I wonder how much time will be spent negotiating the price. When talking about figures of these proportions it is difficult for fans to appreciate the size of the sums of money being negotiated. A swing in favour of Norwich of £3.6m would be the equivalent of a £150 increase per season ticket assuming 24,000 ST sales. The club need to stand up and get the absolute best price they can. I could never see them decreasing ST prices however I think when this amount of money is decided on in deals like this the fans should also see some of the benefits.
  17. Does anyone actually know how many player that have won the FA youth cup are currently playing in the premier league. I don''t post very often but I read this board quite often and I can''t recall having ever seen a thread on this. If there is then could someone direct me to it.
  18. Has a foot injury apparently. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22827856
  19. I''ve never been a fan of Warnock, but I agree with every word he said there.
  20. I hope it is 4-3-1-2 Howson -- Tettey -- Johnson -------------Snodgrass------------ -------Holt---------- Kamara-----
  21. Thanks! We looked very sharp going forward! I look forward to seeing the boys on Wednesday.
  22. This has been said before but i feel with all this hysteria on here at the moment that it is time to be brought up again. When Chris Hughton first came to the club he inherited Paul Lambert''s squad of arguably over performing championship players, who finished the season in 12th place (and what an achievement that was!!). As we all know last season we were about as water tight as a sieve, this was clearly our weakness. It was also clear what our strengths were, attacking football and a win at all costs mentality. This year Chris has vastly improved us defensively although this seems to be at the expense of our forward play. But as we look at the table we are currently 13th, ( I know that this will most likely change by the end of the day) so not too far of where Lambert left us. So where am I going with this?... Well this year we are undoubtedly draw specialists, due to our more solid defence. We have the most draws in the league, 14. We have already know that Hughton plans to improve our forward play next year, with the signing of RVW and the speculation about possible transfer targets, most of whom are very much attacking players. So with this improved attack we would, hopefully, score more goals and hence turn some of our many draws this season into wins next. To summarize, if we stay up this year we will be a much stronger outfit next year so there are many positive thing to look forward to. (In my opinion we are by no means safe yet but I think, as in the wise words of Mark Lawrenson, we will limp over the line)
  23. I think a demoralizing draw would suit us down to the ground. Also a couple of red cards with extended suspensions wouldn''t go amiss!! GD
