  1. Still no home wins and apparently no support either... at least none who'll pay the full price to support their team.
  2. No ICF, there's one more Team below Hull but they're so far adrift it wouldn't fit on the page ( or the next page!).... wonder who that is?
  3. Leaving Leitner out makes sense, gives him a rest and a chance to recover fully for Saturday, while at the same time negating the risk of picking up another yellow, leading to a ban. Besides, with Vrancic and Trybull to choose from you'd like to think that we'd have too much for Hull.
  4. Good that he was diagnosed before something tragic happened. Good luck to him, hopefully he can get his coaching badges and move on with his career.
  5. I think Buendia and Leitner are carrying knocks, Df will update us in the pre- match video. Maybe time to give them a break, Vrancic and Cantwell will be ready to step in.
  6. I'm with ric on this, Hull, Bolton and Rotherham may be struggling but they still want the points and will make life as difficult as possible for us. The old cliche 'there are no easy games ' is used regularly in these situations. Over the last few years how many teams have picked up points because we underperformed? Burton, Doncaster and if I recall we failed to get a win against any of the relegated teams last season. I'm sure DF will have the Boys well drilled on Tuesday and they will pick up a win.
  7. No... and no. I was at Chelsea when we won the Youth Cup, great night to be a Norwich fan. As nn says we've moved on and so have they.
  8. Out of interest Bill, what is their 'rightful place' ?... apart from a 20 year hiatus back in the 60s and 70s it doesn't appear that they've done anything out of the ordinary.
  9. The next block of games will be tough, those middle to bottom teams will give us new problems to deal with. I'm not sure we can take anything for granted.
  10. Right now I'd take a draw, not saying it can't go either way but being top adds its own pressures.
  11. If he is still marooned at the bottom when they come to the Carra I'm hoping for a rousing 'one Paul Lambert ' to welcome him... in honour of what he achieved here and the job he is doing for them.
  12. I saw Brian McGovern in a pre season friendly against Col U. God, he was rubbish, it was Worthy's first season in charge I think... don't remember ever seeing him again.
  13. I'm not sure he was given the backing to impose his style at Villa, poison chalice, always has been. After buying Benteke and Ron Vlaar, the board bottled it. Pulled the plug on his budget and ultimately paid the price. If they had backed him they would still be in the Premiership.
  14. A point for us would be a solid result, I'm not sure how the Binswitch game will go. If West Brom turn up, it could be a mauling. A draw would suit us but I don't think 1p5wich are anywhere good enough to achieve that.... Should they win, well, they'll be putting up another statue.
  15. I thought he looked solid enough in the Premiership. Certainly didn't stand out that he struggled any more than anybody else.
  16. Good call Bill, I'll just enjoy the ride and see where it takes us. Of course there's the added spice of what's going on at the other end of the table.
  17. I was at that game too KC, Grant's idea of firming up the defence by playing Doherty in defensive midfield clearly didn't work. Can't think of anyone who played well that day... apart from Darel Russell, who scored, for Stoke!
  18. I remember seeing us at Barnsley around that time, we had Darel Russell and Sibierski up front so I knew it would be a long afternoon. We created one chance in 90 minutes, a chance that my Mum would have buried, needless to say Sibierski missed it. It ended 0-0 and I saw Fotheringham do the Malky 'Braveheart ' pose for the media as we left. You just knew it would end badly.
