  1. Just watched the clip on website - he looks like a big lad
  2. I have to cheer myself up now by looking at Southampton news http://www.teamtalk.com/football/story/0,16368,1783_5320942,00.html
  3. Analolgy of our season - start late and then disappoint
  4. The quote is the first thing that has made me smile since we went down. Maybe he is saying ''Croft puts crosses in'' and after he has attempted a cross  ''then they need some service''
  5. Would be interesting to see the quality of players before and after the change in Academy travlling time rules. I am sure this has probably hurt our youth build up more than any other team. I have always said the hour travelling time should only apply to clubs in the Prem.
  6. A Lee style forward along side one with pace is what is needed in league one. My fear is similar to others, as soon as Lee signs he will settle. I would like to see Cort given another pay as he plays deal - not as the main striker line but as a back-up player. To be honest we can offer him League 1 wages as it is either that or nothing and if we can get 15 games out of him at little cost then it would be a good addition to the squad.
  7. Agree he has pace and ability to beat a man but can not cross for toffee. To get out of League one we need players who can deliver some sort of quality into the box for our chosen taget man.
  8. Current form table shows how we were ''fighting'' relegation over the last 6 games. Agree Gunn did his best, but it simply wasn''t good enough.  1 Preston North End 6 4 1 1 13 4 9 13 D L W W W W 2 Wolverhampton Wanderers 6 4 1 1 9 5 4 13 L W W W D W 3 Nottingham Forest 6 3 3 0 9 5 4 12 D W D W D W 4 Burnley 6 3 2 1 10 6 4 11 D W L W D W 5 Birmingham City 6 3 2 1 7 4 3 11 W D D W L W 6 Sheffield United 6 3 2 1 4 2 2 11 W W D L W D 7 Swansea City 6 3 1 2 8 6 2 10 D W W W L L 8 Sheffield Wednesday 6 3 1 2 7 5 2 10 W L L W D W 9 Ipswich Town 6 3 1 2 10 9 1 10 L L D W W W 10 Doncaster Rovers 6 3 0 3 9 6 3 9 L W L W W L 11 Blackpool 6 2 3 1 7 6 1 9 L W D D D W 12 Reading 6 2 2 2 7 5 2 8 L D D W W L 13 Plymouth Argyle 6 2 2 2 7 6 1 8 W W D L D L 14 Watford 6 2 2 2 9 9 0 8 D D L L W W 15 Charlton Athletic 6 1 4 1 8 7 1 7 D D D D L W 16 Barnsley 6 1 4 1 6 7 -1 7 D L D D D W 17 Cardiff City 6 2 1 3 7 13 -6 7 W W L D L L 18 Derby County 6 2 0 4 5 9 -4 6 W L L L W L 19 Queens Park Rangers 6 1 2 3 4 6 -2 5 D L W L D L 20 Crystal Palace 6 1 2 3 2 6 -4 5 D L L W L D 21 Southampton 6 1 2 3 6 12 -6 5 D L W L D L 22 Norwich City 6 1 0 5 7 12 -5 3 L L W L L L 23 Bristol City 6 0 3 3 5 11 -6 3 D L D L D L 24 Coventry City 6 0 2 4 4 11 -7 2 L D L D L L
  9. Of the furst team sqaud all contracts run until June 2010, with exception of Croft, Nelson who are up in June 2009. Spillane, Drury, Hoolahan and Pattison are until June 2011.
  10. Since Gunn had the job till the end of the season and all our loan players are heading back to their clubs, seems our wage bill will drop to about £1.50 a week during the summer months. Unfortunately this is probably the level the board will then use for next years ''planning''
  11. pm would be great so I can hide behind my settee watching my laptop
  12. http://www.sportinglife.com/football/live/tables/cc_champ.html helps keep the nerves on edge
  13. SW are one heck of a bad team for us - don''t think we have beaten them in our last 7 meetings. Still my vote is on City 2-1.
  14. Charlton would struggle to fill a 3000 allocation at home. We should swap round and let them have the away end - they would then get their biggest gate of the season.
  15. Looking at the games left for each of the bottom teams and then using the results they gained aginst these teams first time round, the final table would look like this; This means we will get 12 points - not enough.   49    N Forest 48    Watford 48    Barnsley 48    Plymouth 44    Norwich 37    Sothampton 36    Charlton
  16. Not scientific but looking at the games left for each of the bottom teams and then using the results they gained aginst these teams first time round, the final table would look like this;   49    N Forest 48    Watford 48    Barnsley 48    Plymouth 44    Norwich 37    Sothampton 36    Charlton
  17. When was the last time we scored 10 goals in 4 games
  18. From Dartford FC official website - http://www.dartfordfc.co.uk/   Latest news 02/02/2009 Cody McDonald will sign for Norwich City this afternoon. We thank Cody for all his efforts on behalf of the Club, and wish him a long and successful career in professional football. Good Luck Cody.
  19. Branston Pickle - where abouts in SW London? I am based in Wandsworth Common - had a fun 7:30 walk to the station to find all trains off and no buses.
  20. Good 4 to 6 inches of snow down here in London.
  21. Nottingham papers report a £400K bid which we have turned down
  22. Decent enough player - good delivery but couldn''t beat a man down the wing. If we got a few hundred thousand more than we paid for him then a good bit of business in my book. Wouldn''t have been in my first choice midfield.
  23. Willy Topp - Chilean striker at Bradford. Amazingly when he signed in Dec 2007 for £35,000 it was the first time Bradford had paid a transfer fee since 2001! Didn''t realise Roeder was manager there for 6 years.
