  1. Pretty much what alysha & hogesar said. He looks very strong and created and scored his goal well, but it was Gorleston, so not too much can be read into it. Funny thing was, i was just telling my brother about the Leeds fans saying about him being a poor passer, and as i said it, his pass went straight to a Gorleston player.
  2. The thing is not can Holty cope with the Prem, can the Prem cope with Holty?
  3. @ Wiz. Glad you''ve got your hearing sorted. @ Mr Brownstone. Thanks. @ Herman. Yeah, it was a stroll, and the dolly bird was Charlotte Jackson, one of many sky sports news dolly birds. @Canary23. I was there 3 years ago too, but today the weather was atrocious, so that was a shame. Nice to see David McNally, and presumably his wife, and Michael Foulgar (sp) in the club bar after the game. I wanted to shake their hands and say thanks for they have done, but i didn''t get round to it.
  4. I thought you are deaf Wiz. Put the subtitles on........oh wait.......
  5. Thanks for that Joanna, although i won''t be rushing anywhere tonight. I''ve got sky broadband & obviously sky tv. Presumably there has to be a lead connecting one to the other, to transfer the footage, right?
  6. Yeah, no King of Spain. Teirney first half, Brindley started 2nd half LB, but he was soon replaced by Josh Dawkin at LB.
  7. They keep repeating all the goals on sky. Sorry Graham, i can record them, but don''t know how to put them on you tube.
  8. Just normal rain here in Gorleston at the moment, when the forecasters said it would torrential rain now, clearing Gorleston and the coast between 3 and 4 o''clock.
  9. Latest weather guesstimation for Gorleston on saturday. http://news.bbc.co.uk/weather/forecast/2332?area=NR31 At least they''re guessing the wind at 15 mph, instead of the 25 mph they were saying yesterday. IF they''re right, at least that will be better. Lets hope the heavy rain doesn''t materialise, or at least not between 2 pm & 5 pm.
  10. If you go to Wroxham you will see all the senior players that are not in the clubs plans. Weather link for Gorleston on saturday, below. Bring your wellies & wrap up warm. Heavy rain & strong winds forecast. (i hope the weather people have got it wrong, as usual.) http://news.bbc.co.uk/weather/forecast/2332?area=NR31
  11. Yep, i''ll be there. Should be a big crowd to see the new faces.
  12. Left sided, can play at left back, bit like the King of Spain. Unlike the King of Spain though, he weighs in with a good goals ratio.
  13. JOHNSON POISED TO JOIN CITY Posted on: Fri 01 Jul 2011 CITY are delighted to confirm midfielder Bradley Johnson is poised to become Paul Lambert''s fifth summer signing, joining in a three-year deal, subject to the relevant paperwork being completed. Following the expiry of his contract at Leeds United, Johnson arrives at Carrow Road to end a spell at Elland Road that saw him make 107 appearances in all competitions, scoring 17 goals. A tenacious midfielder, the 24-year old helped guide Leeds to second place and promotion from League One in the 2009-10 season, which saw the Canaries take the league title, also playing a major part in United''s seventh place finish in the Championship last season. Johnson started his career as a trainee at Cambridge United before moving to Northampton Town in the summer of 2005 following the U''s relegation to the Conference. He would spend three-years with the Cobblers making 51 appearances, scoring 10 goals. A spell which also saw loan spells with Ebbsfleet United and Stevenage Borough before moving to Elland Road in 2008. On his move to Carrow Road, Johnson exclusively told Canaries.co.uk: "I''m over the moon really to get the chance to play in the Premier League with a big Club like Norwich City and under a great manager who I have a lot of respect for. He''s done a fantastic job since he arrived at Norwich and that was one of the main factors in me signing with the Club.
  14. Gorleston/Yarmouth for the last 50 years. Born and lived in Essex ( The tropical paradise that is Canvey Island for 15 years before that though)
  15. pete_norwich wrote "And now Posh say 2 bids in from Premier league clubs, I think this is Mr Barry Fry on the wind up and pushing his luck" Blimey that''s a relief, I thought he said 22 clubs were after him. lol. Apparently he is going to the prem and fergy junior said his replacement is already lined up. Maybe a part exchange deal? Chrissy or Cody going the other way? Having said that, Paul Lambert''s list of targets were given to David McNally some time ago and negotiations have been going on for a while with these targets.
