Beloved Brentford v Bournemouth
Canary73 replied to Midlands Yellow's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
That's why Brentford need to get level and ahead early otherwise **** will just do their usual gamesmanship by slowing down, appealing for everything and surrounding the ref at every decision. They will speed up play if they get behind. -

O/T Tonights Playoff Games
Canary73 replied to Icecream Snow's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Come on Brentford - a routine two goal margin win please..... -
Isn't something that will be heard too often in the scoring tonight. I have a few small bets placed. Would love Italy or Finland to win for choosing to take the rock route. Otherwise I'd say Switzerland is the stand out song alongside France and Iceland. Covered my bets by having Ukraine and Malta each way too. Who us your money on and what are you looking forward to most?

It went downhill when it was clear that the top teams prioritised premier league survival and European places qualification over the FA cup and further still when replays were taken out of the equation....

Poorly researched pundits: 'He gives it to him who gives it to him' Research fully every team not just ones you played for or are in the top 10.... -
Most accurate shirt they had was Fisons...

There are records still to go for so I'd go with a pretty strong team. It will be interesting to see what Barnsley do as they could rest players given they are already in the playoffs. If they lose they are guaranteed Brentford over two legs but could finish 5th and get Bournemouth or Swansea depending on other results.

Would you swap Aarons for Skipp ?
Canary73 replied to Mullet's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Not as a straight swop no. Deal would be Aarons for Skipp plus £30m to us. -

They need to match or better Morecambe's result. Cambridge just need a point given their superior gd. -
Cambridge promotion could help us..

They've got it back to 3-2 after 30 mins having been 3-0 down...Make that 4-2 down. -
Although Rotherham have games in hand, only two are at home (Boro tomorrow and Blackburn on 1 May). They have to play Barnsley, Brentford, Luton and Cardiff away so not the kindest of fixtures. Derby meanwhile have Brum at home, Swansea away then Sheff Weds at home on the last day so arguably they look more favourable.

No 3pm kick-offs next Saturday
Canary73 replied to Matt Juler's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
The @ECB_cricket confirm that next Saturday all nine County Championship matches will pause between 14:50 & 16:10 to coincide with the funeral of the Duke of Edinburgh. The ECB are also asking all recreational cricket clubs to pause play between 1500 and 1600. Although not football related, good that the arrangements have been called early. -
No 3pm kick-offs next Saturday
Canary73 replied to Matt Juler's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Currently, there are a handful of games on the Friday night (Everton v Spurs & Reading V Cardiff, and two PL games and an FA Cup semi-final) on Saturday that look to have been schedule for TV. I'd imagine there is some negotiation going on with the broadcasters to plan for any schedule changes. There is also the situation at Rotherham to consider who are already playing Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday so any movements of games that involves teams they are playing could create further complications. I'd suggest ours could be left where it is - am assuming the 2000 kick-off was to cater for extra time and penalties from the FA Cup semi should it get that far and avoid any overlap. I would have thought the league might direct the 1500 games be moved forward to 1230 to avoid any clash. -

I'm assuming that the rearrangement is down to the clubs with agreement with the EfL. In the original scheduling, Sky picked our game last. The way the last few games have gone, we could be promoted before playing so it could backfire but of course Bournemouth (who also play on Tuesday) are also in need of points. Therefore, in any rearrangements I'm expecting we are still on last unless some games are move to the Sunday - although this seems unlikely. -
