1. In''s Yakubu Emnes Snodgrass Davies Naughton Pacheco A tough tackling midfielder Another centre back   Out''s Barnett Drury Lappin Ward Rudd (on loan) Adeyemi (on loan)
2. Looks substantial. Can''t complain if he is a free transfer, we need some better players at centre back. Also, another captain! How many former captains have we got now? Ryan Bennett, Russell Martin, Elliot Ward, Johnny Howson...
3. He said that we need to strengthen everywhere so I expect as many signings as we made last summer. I think if we will need 4 defenders, this is depending on the fact that Ward and Drury are released and Barnett sold. 1 left back, 2 centre backs and 1 right back. We need abit of bite in midfield in my opinion, and some attacking finesse. A pacey goalscorer is also needed. Apart from that, we have quite a strong squad. We just need to keep building.
4. I haven''t even seen the guy been linked with us? I think he is highly rated. Another captain, too.
5. The extra £10 million will be given when our external debt is gone, which is next season.
6. 2-0 Lansbury, who celebrated doing the "dougie".
7.
John Guidetti
Great shout. He''s been setting the dutch top league alight with some of his performances, scoring nearly 1 goal a game and I think he scored a hat trick against Ajax. Would love it if we went for him on loan, but if he was made available some big clubs would look at him.
8. If this is over £5k a week then would it really be necessary for him to hand over a transfer request?
9. I told you. It''s unfortunate that Whitbread left but when he gets a double your money offer he''s bound to do. Contract negotiations weren''t going well and they started back in late Feburary. I''ve heard some rumours that we are on the verge of signing Curtis Davies. Maybe they are acting quick after Whitbreads departure?
10. Oh and I forgot to mention. In McNally''s speech he said that they are running out of room to fit new seats into the ground, hence the corner near the hotel. They said they wanted to do it for a while, but the hotel were playing hard ball. As we are running out of seats they have asked the UEA to do a feasability report on expanding/building a new stand in place. He didn''t want to sacrifice our position in the Premier League for a bigger stadium until we are more established.
11. The corner will be complete before the start of next season, so a few months. McNally said this openly in his speech. Lambert was hilarious tonight, it was great to see him having banter with the players.
12. Lambert is here in a very good mood! Seats will be installed in the hotel corner that will increase the capacity to 28,000 seats. All external debt will be paid off at the end of next season regardless of the league we are in. Bowkett and McNally are going tooth and nail to keep Lambo and the playing staff. That''s about it at the moment!
13. I''ll be absolutely gutted if he leaves. The end of season dinner tonight shall be interesting, and I''m going.
14. That''s true but it might be his last real payday and he will be playing for an established Premier League side. I can totally understand that.
15. I''ve got some contacts at the club, of which I won''t name, who know Whitbread personally and they have told me that Sunderland and Everton have offered him a contract. We have also put in a contract, but Sunderlands is double what we are willing to give him, so he will be signing for them. It''s really unfortunate as he is our strongest defender. I can understand his decision, though.
16. People would of said Russell Martin is not a centre back at the start of the season, but he still performed well in that position.
17. Jeremy Toulalon!? Where the bloody hell were we linked with him? Never going to happen, on massive money at oil rich Malaga.
18. Doesn''t sound encouraging at all. Maybe he is just down playing the fact that we don''t have much money when we actually do, or maybe he''s being truthful about it. I think the latter.
19. I was wondering the exact the same thing about Jackson. He put in good performances for the team and looked a threat, even with the lack of goals. Maybe Lambert wants to give other players a chance before the end of the season? Crofts for me will be sold. He''s a commited player but lacks technical ability at this level, unfortunately. He will go with fond memories, though. Without his braces at Barnsley, Sheff Utd and other key goals we wouldn''t be in the Premiership.
20. I think we have to strengthen in most areas in the summer. I think the most essential areas are defensive midfielder, full backs and strikers. A defensive midfielder is essential as none of the other midfielders that we have in the squad provide sufficient protection to the back line. Fox is a great playmaker and I''d rather he had a slightly more advanced role now in central midfield, providing room for a physical anchor man type player. I think Howson could do a very good job in this area BUT I think he looks even better playing just behind the striker. If I''m honest, I can''t actually think of a player of a good enough calibre to suggest. People have said Karl Henry but I don''t think he''s good enough. Full backs is also a major area of concern. With Naughton going back to Spurs and Drury not gaining a contract extension we are left with Tierney and R Martin. Both players are good enough in their own rights and I think they will still be good squad players for a few seasons to come. I can see Martin reverting to a bench role but I still think Tierney is rated highly and I have no doubts he can have a starting role for a few seasons to come yet. Everyone forgets that Tierney was our best player at the start of the season, winning the first two player of the month awards and he assisted around 4 goals with his crossing. I''d look at signing Naughton permanently. I''d also look at Nathaniel Clyne. Man U starlet Ezequiel Fryers contract is running out in the summer. I''ve watched him a few times and he looks a top prospect. Spurs are also looking to sign him. Strikers is also another potential area of concern. With Holty and to a lesser extent Wilbraham the only strikers producing good performances at the moment we need to look at other strikers. Bearing in mind that Wilbra and Jacksons contracts run out we''d be left with Holt and Morison. There are lots of players to choose from that I rate and are realistic. Marvin Emnes is a player I''ve admired for a long time and Middlesborough are rumoured to be in difficulty financially, he''d be a great signing. Jay Rodriguez, Didier De Konan, Steven Fletcher, Wilfried Zaha and Mohammed Abdelloue are all good strikers who are in our range. I''d also look at strengthening centre backs and wingers. I think we shoud be scouting the French, German, Holland and African leagues as there are lots of quality players that we can realistically sign and will be cheaper then the UK markets.
21. I know that he is hated by Norwich fans but I still think Andy Johnson would be a good signing. I''d imagine his wages would be high but he has always scored goals at this level. Other players I''d look at on that list that aren''t loanee''s are: Danny GuthriePaul ScharnerSylvian DistinJonathan WoodgateMichael KightlyRyan NelsonI can see them all being chased by clubs who can offer bigger wages, but they are the ones I''d look at.
22. I really like the look of it, another classy kit from Errea.
23.
I don''t really understand the obsession with these two. Both showed flashes, but Lansbury was largely an impact sub in the Championship and Pacheco blew hot and cold. As has been said, his loan to Atletico Madrid and subsequent loan on to Rayo Vallecano has been a disaster and he has yet to score for them. Having said that, his regular tweets show his fondness for City. The other concern I have about Lansbury is that he will be on his way down if he leaves Arsenal which doesn''t fit the Lambert profile, and also means that wages may be an issue.
I agree with this. I don''t understand it either, they done well for us and helped play a part in securing our promotion but they wouldn''t get in the side now. We need to strengthen, not bring in players of similar quality to what we already have.
