Damien Francis... a sad day.
CanaryRyan replied to GJL Mid-Norfolk Canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
No, not sad that he''s had to retire, this is a classic tale of footballing karma !. No, the real sadness here is that this traitor will never appear at Carrow Road again to get what was surely coming his way, possibly the most hostile recption of any former player ever to return. Tradgedy.
Prat! -
Unfortunately for Jamie on the bench is where he belongs, he''s just not good enough. Would be fantastic if he was good enough but he isn''t.
Exactly what i was saying the other day to bloke that sits next to me! -
I think Roeder deserves a lot of credit for yesterday''s win. 1) He''s been boasting about how fit the players are, and they proved him right yesterday. Sheff Utd were the better side for about an hour, and we had a lot of ball-chasing to do, but we finished the game really strongly. 2) He set up a decent original formation, with Pattison and Fozzy protecting an inexperienced back-four, and Bertrand protecting the returning Drury. It was all thrown out of kilter by the injury to Pattison, meaning that the patently unfit Russell had to return to midfield, but the original idea was sound. 3) The substitutions were really positive. The team that ended the match was our most attacking XI, with Croft, Hoolahan, Cureton and Sibierski all on the pitch together. It meant that Sheff Utd had settled for the draw. I thought Roeder got it wrong with his subs against QPR, but full credit to him yesterday. There''s no way I would have predicted a win looking at the two line-ups before the start. Even if it had finished 0-0 I think he would have deserved a lot of credit.
Good post Robert, couldnt of put it better myself!

Birmingham Scratching for fans
CanaryRyan replied to pete_norw's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
How desperate can a football club get to bring in fans! Its like when you watch Championship games on Sky, most grounds have a whole stand empty! Glad Carrow Road is always full! -
I agree that he has been awful in recent games, but i think its just a rough patch hes going through, he''ll come back with a blinding performance soon that wins the fans over!
