  1. A tough one this ; 1. D.Muzinic 2. M.Chivers 3. J.Hartson 4. S.Walsh 5. K.Bond (the early years) Best : Delia on the pitch.
  2. I will probably renew in the hope that most of the boring moaners have gone, but I suspect they will still be with us, always right in their predictions, and always faultless in their judgements about ''our once great club''.
  3. Norwich Supporters are many things, dim twerps, etc (that certainly sounds like me) but one thing we are not, and never will be (thank god) is ''cool''.
  4. Quote - "It seems as though all football clubs are run for the benefit of the players and managers, not the fans. We need an economic reality check. The whole thing is no longer viable.” I have felt for some time that we should show some radical ambition and cut wages, and concentrate on a youth policy. This would mean relegation in the medium term, but we would rise up again (with our own players, committed to the cause) as others have done (from the third tier). But I doubt that we will have the courage to do this, so I expect we will carry on in the same way, hoping that othe people will bale us out.  After watching the 16 year old lad at Charlton yesterday, and then comparing him with some of our players, I just cannot accept that it is necessary to pay 8K per week for mediocrity.
  5. Dirty Dicks is good/agreed. I do feel that Charlton is not one of the best area''s for Pubs to be fair. You will do ok at The Village area, SE7 (Swan, Bugle Horne) but not inspiring. My favourite in the London Bridge area is the Lord Cylde, Clennam St, but check out on A-Z as 10 mins from station, a gem, but only if like me you like your Pubs ''un re-constructed''. For serious drinking, and a bus ride to Charlton I guess, I would recommend any Pub on Royal Hill, SE10 (Greenwich rail/DLR). Not sure of my cloice as yet, as depends on what my Arsenal mate wants to do.
  6. This was a really important win. Also, I thought we showed great style in midfield, and I left really excited about the way we are developing. It''s great to see us outplay 2 sides who used to always outplay us i.e Addicts and Gippeswyk
  7. I thought it was an excellent midfield display from us, and seriously positive if we can build on this, making a mockery of the inappropriate ''worse team I can remember'' type comments.
  8. It was a first for me. All the years that I''ve watched City, I have never been to bar full of City outside of Norwich. I really enjoyed the evening, and my fellow fans, and the Chorus of ''On the Ball'' was simply cathartic after a busy week at work in London''s favourite borough at the moment (Haringey). Most refreshing was the absence of negativity. Thanks all.
  9. Rather too many incidents to document, and I would not want to incriminate myself on here. By far the worse violence I have ever seen at a football match was Millwall v Ipswich in 1978 (F.A Cup Quarter Final). I was staying with a friend at South Bank Poly, and asked a Millwall fan to introduce me the infamous F troop ( i was an enthusiastic sociology student in those days - participant observation etc) . I stood next to them during the game, and watched aghast as the rest of the ground terrorised the Gippeswyk away following, the majority were literally run out of the ground. It is the only time I have seen the Police given a hard time as fans ran on the pitch. F Troop merely watched and occasionally egged on the infantry. Bobby Robson later said that he would of liked to see ''flame throwers'' used on the mob!  I have to admit I admired the players for sticking to the task, and even the beleagued fans who were confronted by something akin to a war zone that day.
  10. ''Luv it....now let your boyfriend answer for himself'' - add homophobia to your list of impressive credentials.
  11. You should look up the meaning of the word ''Apologist'' sometime. As for people on here being described as ''losers'' - I cannot think of any better definition of a loser, than someone who regularly, and anonymously comes on an internet board, in order to call other people ''losers''!
  12. ''Nice little Norwich, it`s the taking part that counts, what a lovely little club we have-shame about the team, we`re lucky to have a club, isn`t Delia and her restuarants wonderful?" brigade'' writes Mr Carrow. Everyone is entitled to his or her opinion. Personally I am totally tired of the '' we have to be in the premiership, such big crowds, just too nice, were so special cos we once beat B.Munich, she should take her pots and pans, infact anyone who doesn''t want her and MWJ hung from the nearest Lamp-post is an apologist'' brigade. Well done HISTON! Third Division South and lets not forget it!
  13. ''Why don''t you come and call me a spineless moaner to my face next time you are given the opportunity'' - I will be in the Jubillee before the Ipswich game, but please suggest an alternative venue if you wish.
  14. ''Sentiment has no place in the cruel world of commerce'' - really? Delia seems to have combined sentiment (i.e support for City) and commence quite well.
  15. Personally I enjoy things now a lot more than when we were in the premiership. It is not compulsory to watch Norwich, and people always have and always will drift away for many reasons. I know a supporter who has never gone since the Club put seating into the South Stand where he used to stand.
  16. Prefer any Gippeswyk fan to the Delia Out crowd on here, as that''s sincere.
  17. 1. Football fans in  the UNITED KINGDOM are interested in there own teams, and not in how little Norwich are gettin on 2. True Norwich bors do not have an inferiority complex, so we do not look up to the so called bigs Clubs with their so called ''passionate'' fans, because we know this is a media creation and only the ''noddies'' fall for this hype 3. The ''spineless'' moaners whose  answer to every problem is to cry ''diddums'' and demand Delia OUT, Wynn Jones OUT, Groundsman OUT, Munby OUT, Doncaster OUT etc etc etc etc, have no stomach for the fight, and therefore miss the whole point of why we love this Club, and the ups and downs it brings us. Third Division South - and don''t you forget it!
  18. Thanks, where exactly is that please as would like to be there (as all my locals will have other games on)?
  19. Real Fans Rulebook, Section 2, sub-section 4, reads '' A genuine football supporter can only support one team, and although it is allowed to watch other team''s, and show preference for positive aspects of other football Clubs, it is not acceptable to ''support'' other sides.
  20. Really refreshing to read this thred with cogent arguements and none of the usual banalities (until BB came in that is). Thanks. There is hope.
  21. Change is always with us, so the subject title is rather obvious. It is also clear that DS and MWJ are looking for an exit, and who can blame them? They have done us proud during their stewardship in my view, but it is probably time for us to join the crowd and prostitute ourselves to the lowest bidder, or ''Evans'' or whoever now.  Be careful what you wish for, as it may come true.
  22. ''Noit as pointless as your posts and silent support of a failing regime... move along.... baaaaaaaaaah!!!'' says the brilliant intellect. The same self-appointed noddy who thinks ROSS and BRAND are ''edgy'' comedy. Like those two, his comments are about as edgy as the River End bores that stood next to me in the 70''s, moaning and groaning about the Chairman, Manager etc etc, and not one original idea between them.
