1. From the Pinkun Front Pagehttp://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city/reality-bites-the-figures-that-show-why-norwich-city-are-having-to-do-things-differently-this-summer-1-5055886I''m guessing Michael Bailey is being fed the figures by Stuart Webber to justify all the inevitable sales that are coming. But it''s pretty staggering if we didn''t really buy anyone (the Redmond sale paid for Pritchard, Canos and Oliveria), we started with an overdraft of £3million, got £41 million in parachute payments, and ended the season £8million overdrawn.

 3.
sorry westcoast, maybe I didn''t make myself clear. I''m referring to the vocal Huddersfield supporters who have been critical and obviously offered a little bit of abuse in Webbers decision to leave. Who are also now throwing their toys out on their equivalent ''pinkuns'' and twitters etc.
I saw a fair few Huddersfield fans posting they believed Wagner had recruited most of the German players, or at least told Webber who to sign. Wonder if they''ll start to rethink?
 4.
All the rumours are linking us with midfielders and strikers, but I''ve yet to see us after what we really need -- defenders !
Gunn is a loan, Watkins was out of contract, and Vrancic can leave due to relegation triggering an exit clause. So far we haven''t had to negotiate a fee with a club, which is bound to take longer.
 5. Sounds like the Dorrans replacement. Takes freekicks and corners. 750K euro appears to be his buyout clause.
 6.
Some of our fans need to stop turning their noses up at loans from Premiership clubs. It''s a useful method that other teams have benefited from in this league, we need to ensure we do too.
Depending on the player, it can also put you first in the queue to sign them, eg Stoke picking up Ryan Shawcross, and Hull Robbie Brady from Man United after successful loan spells.
 7. Would have expected it to be similar to his recruitment at Huddersfield, 3-4 youngsters from Premiership clubs and 4-5 players from the German leagues for the left back, centre back and centre midfield positions.
 8.
Trying to recall what happened the last time we turned to Gunn for help
Well, he won''t be the manager this time. Though if he does extremely poorly, he might have season tickets thrown at him.
 9.
i think what gets my goat is Man City paid 250k ( less than a weeks wages for some of their players ) for Gunn from us Maybe never play 1st team football for them But someone who could be our No1 for 10 years + will play here for a season gain experience then go back to Man city making them more money on his value Loan to buy is the only loans i agree with
Power for the course these days. Bamford cost Chelsea £1.5 million from Forest, they loan him out a few times, never plays for Chelsea and gets sold for a rumoured £5.5 million to Middlesborough.Betrand cost £150k from Gillingham, Chelsea must have made that back on loans fee alone.
 10.
In today''s market, I just can''t believe that a fee of just £1million is being touted - others will disagree but I think that''s verging on insane, he''s better than that!
When we bought him 2 years ago the figure quoted was around £3 million, and with his age, that figure was always going to depreciate heavily.
 11. Guess I''m in the minority, though I do wish I could retire, even though I''m only 38 :P
 12.
Just read the article and the headline is misleading saying Howson wants out when it is in fact his agent merely saying he will not sign a contract extension offered to him which in itself surely shows the club have a desire to keep him rather than generate some cash ?The quote attributed to Webber i am sure is a previous generalisation with regard to finance and not specifically aimed at Howson. My view is it is Archant trying for a change to create a story rather than copy a story from some other source which is their norm.
I think they''ve been fed the story by Webber. After the McNally era (and the falling out within it) they''d already been quick to flag articles as "Rumour"Bearing in mind Nick Mashiter announced our new scouting setup back in April 29th, https://twitter.com/nickmashiter/status/858345900439220225 he''s either in the know, or gets fed stories from Stuart Webber. Surprised me when he put out a story about Howson £4m to Leeds which was quickly shot down, but that was probably just Webber''s opening salvo.
 13.
Butler also said he''s surprised Marley Watkins not been announced yet, (the implication was that it''s a done deal, not that he''s going somewhere else), which I think most of us knew.
In the interviews last week, Daniel Farke had said his first official day was June 1st, and that Borussia Dortmund had let him go to the press conference last Thursday, but that he was still a Dortmund employee until May 31st.So whilst it was a done deal, I think it was just a courtesy thing to let Farke meet the player and rubber stamp it on his first day.
 14.
A more accurate headline would be "Club wants to sell Howson and puts out cynical spin to prepare the fan base." Unfortunately too many fans buy everything that comes out of our beloved club and is board hook, line and sinker. I can see arguments either way for selling Howson or keeping him, all dependant of course on what anyone offers for him but our desperation to sell this summer is beginning to really p**s me off.
It''s rare that I agree with you Jim, but certainly think this is suspicious. Howson''s been here for over five years, seems settled here, and is under contract for  another two years. Does smack of Webber trying to flog a player at his peak to generate some cash.
 15.
Next stage will be Farke and Reimer''s backroom staff I assume. will be interesting to see what happens to McAvoy, Irvine and Kiely. Is Neil Adams still around as Head of Loans?
I''m not sure Farke will be bringing anyone else in. Webber''s already said that Farke''s team would have (at least one) British coach, so even if Irvine goes, they''ll be looking for a British coach with similar experience to replace him.Unless they shoe-horn McAvoy into the youth set-up, would expect him to be off.
 16.
No mention of True Grit. How could they overlook him? [:^)]
or Tom Cavendish
 17. Lambert was a brilliant motivator and man-manager, but always needed a tactically strong coach to run the day to day, so he could maintain his distance in the Martin O''Neill/Brian Clough mould. Once his relationship with Culverhouse soured, he struggled to have the same impact. I think people forget that in the Championship promotion season, Foulger was pumping money in behind the scenes. Whilst we punched above our weight, signing Ruddy, Barnett, Ward, Surman, Crofts, Jackson, Fox , Tierney, and loans for Lansbury and Pacheco weren''t cheap. We were even bidding for Elliot Bennett and Steve Morison in that January window, and had a £2m deal fro Craig Mackail Smith lined up before Peterborough moved the goalposts. Hard for him, because Benteke aside, his successes have come from signing young hungry British players that his teams have played against. Unless he can find a Robbie Cowling style benefactor in League One, hard to see him getting another job.
 18. The club website currently lists 21 players in the first team squad (which currents excludes Rudd and Toffolo)Not sure how literally to take the comment, but Webber said that 12-15 players from last season''s squad would be here next season. He also said we wouldn''t be running a squad of 25 experienced players, it''d be more like 18 experienced players with young players providing the rest of the cover. It''s difficult to second guess who is going, since he already said we need to sell to buy. Naismith, Jarvis, Wildschut, McGovern would top the list, but I can imagine us barely breaking even from those four.At the very least we''re looking at a goalkeeper (probably a young premiership player on loan), left back, two centre backs, and a clinical striker. Those my gut feeling is that carnage is coming, and they will be a few shock departures. Klose is probably off, I wouldn''t be shocked if we sold Pritchard.
 19. It''s a good article. I suppose with Jamie Vardy coming from non-league, the agents are all trying in on, claiming they''ve got the next big thing.
 20.
Considered front runners for the Leeds job. Same old faces. Even Wee Alex is now firmly seated on the merry-go-round. http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/sport/football/leeds-united/vote-who-should-replace-garry-monk-as-leeds-united-head-coach-1-8563033 (Sorry cannot do a clicky on my Chromebook.) I would not have any of them over our new chap, as risky as his appointment might seem to be. P.S. Wilkins thinks like he played ... sideways. Brazil is an over-weight boozer who hates Norwich.
Crikey Leeds fans are deluded "Mauro Silva - Set to leave Hull City and likely to join Porto or a Premier League club but may be tempted by the stature of Leeds" and Ranieri''s on that list!
 21.
I was thinking that guy from the IT Crowd.
Yeah, he does look a bit like Matt Berry
 22. Sounds like they are keen on Irvine staying, depends if Irvine likes the role and feels he work with Farke or not. He seems a lot more laidback than Alex Neil though.
 23. Well he''s 33 in September, and Hull don''t think he''ll be of any use in the Championship.
 24.
James Nursey from The Mirror seems quiet these days. I thought he was ITK with regard to all things Norwich City.
I think he had half-decent connections in the Hughton days, but since then I think he just makes stuff up.
