1. Might not be the most exciting signing, but apart from us not scoring, we are conceding - this guy can break up play, is prepared to tackle and run with the ball, and can thread through a decent passes. His work rate is excellent, so for me he is probably the right signing to get a bit of stability back and get stuck in when the opposition is running at us - he doesn''t keep backing off, and that is a problem area right now.
2. Hucks v MK Dons away (in their old ground). Can''t remember who lofted the ball in, but it was a huge "hoof" forwards, and Hucks must have changed position 3 or 4 times as he watched it come over and then hit a great volley straight into the net.....
3. The guy seems to be chomping at the bit as well - I would be all for giving him a start, he deserves his chance....
4. If CH were to go, and personally I think he will be given until the end of November, then MO would not be the man for me. Completely the wrong attitude in my opinion - Zola would be my choice
5. I was there, and imo Tettey was a bit like a headless chicken until Fer was brought on - after that he settled down well, but I think that''s because Fer took charge. I agree with nutty, BJ (minus the beard) looked in good physical shape and he does give strong cover - I would like to see BJ paired up with Fer.....by the way, Fer''s pass to Hoops for the 3rd goal absolutely split the defence. Wes was lively, but unfortunately running round in circles with the ball and not really producing.
6. The guy is class, there is no doubting that. Apart from his work-rate throughout the match, his running off the ball was very impressive - I was starting to think that he may be too intelligent with his runs for the guys we have supplying the ball, until his winner when Fer put an inch-perfect pass through which split the defence and Hooper calmly slotted home. Not trying to gush here, but he is strong and holds the ball and certainly not afraid to go where it hurts - I can see why CH and DM pushed the boat out to get him...he will undoubtedly be a Carrow Road legend.
7. We couldn''t really see what was going on, but spoke with a couple of Watford fans queuing for the car park afterwards and they said that Fer had head-butted one of their players, after Bunn had kicked the ball upfield when a corner had been given. Whether it was a full-on head-butt or just a "coming together" of heads I don''t know - the ref was close, so had it been more serious Fer would have walked. The guys we were talking to were very deflated so I guess they were making more of it than it actually was.
8. As said, we didn''t compete in the midfield - lose 2-0 but at least have a go and that''s acceptable, but today was dire and the only positive for me was considering the wave after wave of attack, we managed to keep it down to 2. Bassong was immense, Turner put in a shift and Whittaker showed some class - Redmond helped Garido out a bit, and in the scheme of things can''t fault the defence too much.....BUT the midfield was over-run. Why is Snodgrass now falling over every time he gets the ball - what is going on wih Johnson, I swear his beard has taken half a yard of his pace. Fer was out of his depth - Redmond worked hard and did open them up when RVW should have put it away, Spurs only weakness was at the back and we didn''t take advantage. RVW has got to bulk up a bit as he was getting knocked all over the place. Hopefully a bad day at the office, Spurs have a good attacking side, but we made them look a whole lot better. Why take off Redmond when 2-0 down - move him to the right with Pilks on left (Pilks did liven it up a bit when he came on), and Howson should have been on long before he was.... I like CH, but we need some direction in midfield and up front - our players actually looked like they didn''t know where they were meant to be operating or what they should be doing. As I said, hopefully just a bad day at the office, but we need to have learned from this - I thought Hull was a one-off, today made it a two-off, let''s not have any thirds.....
9. This has been one of the most interesting threads for a long time - great memories for me. There was nothing like the atmosphere in the late 60''s & early 70''s, as a kid just the aroma mix of alcohol/roll-ups/chips/other unmentionables etc was bewildering and fantastic. Old boys in the broadest Norfolk accents shuffling me to the front, the panic of trying to find my Dad by the bridge after the game while being "carried" along with the crowd leaving.....wouldn''t have missed any of that for the world. We didn''t have a lot of money then, and I remember being so jealous of those who wore the official bar-scarves, while mine was one knitted by my Mum, but was never the right shade of green and yellow........ Great times
10.
Charlie Crickmore for me. Combining on the left with the cultured Alan Black. Happy days [;)]
Yay, glad Charlie got a mention - lightning quick as I remember. Kenny Foggo and Hucks stand out....
11.
Tonight''s official attendance is 14,433
Cheers Stevie
12.

Any idea of the crowd size tonight?
Varies from person to person.
How about the attendance then funny boy
13. If this has been posted before, apologies - but is it acceptable to have an international friendly 3 days before the season starts? We have players involved, and could you imagine Snodders or Martin getting injured?
14. In Taipei, Taiwan - a young Chinese chap with a NCFC shirt on. He didn''t speak a word of English, but I think I managed to communicate that I was also a NCFC fan, and shook his hand vigorously - he probably had no idea what I was on about and thought I was a complete drong....
15. Just had a look at the photo-gallery in Pink ''Un for the Man City game, the last 2 pictures show, and mention, an emotional GH acknowledging the away fans. Was the emotion for a good job done, a great end to a difficult season or is there more to it than that? I hope it''s not the latter, as I think the guy still has a job to do at NCFC and I would love him to be part of the set up next year....
16.
Nice find. Terrible hand writing mind; "I am having a lovely time. I am looking forward to ??? tomorrow". Can''t make that penultimate word out at all.
It''s "Yarmouth" Aggy....
17. Interesting at the end of the match when Real Madrid beat Man U at Old Trafford in the Champ''s League this season - Mourinho ever so humble, looked to be a tad too respectful and in awe of SAF, and after the match commented "the best team lost...." Crossed my mind at the time he may be setting himself up as the perfect fit for Man U once SAF left. Can''t see it myself though, I think Moyes has the kind of attitude and attributes that Man U would be after - a bit of a Scottish connection going on there as well.
18. Saw this, so I thought I would post it here in case any of you hadn''t seen it. Might be rumour, might have been posted before - apologies beforehand: http://www.eatsleepsport.com/norwich-city/hammers-steal-a-march-on-hughton-1587354.html#.UYkiwaKG18E
19. This is a great post J I M. I believe CH is scared to death of losing, and as such maintains a defensive attitude regardless even after going a goal down, he still believes we might "nick" a goal but we mustn''t concede another - rather than, s**t we need to get back into this and make the necessary substitutions. I am sure his brief has been "We must stay up at all costs", and this has manifested itself into the kind of defensive mentality on show at present. Steve Clarke is a great example at setting the formation depending on the game - he will use 3 up front with no fear if he thinks that what is needed. I actually like CH, and have stuck with him for most of the season, but the reality is the best form of defence is attack - we have the ability to hold most teams to 0 or 1 goal against, what we don''t have is the "up and at em" attitude to put teams under pressure and keep them there. In my opinion, get Holt & Becchio up front with Wes sitting just behind - Pilks & Snoddy pumping crosses in with Garrido & Martin pushing up in support. That would be how we get goals, we may concede the odd one or two more, but at least we would be showing some attacking intent. I am nervous now, and it may be too late, but it is better to have tried and lost than never to have tried at all......
20.

I can''t get to home leg, but I prob can get to away leg - anyone know when that is?
I don''t think the date has been announced yet.
Not been arranged as yet, the club will put up details when it''s confirmed. I''d think it''s quite likely to be sorted by Wednesday at latest (that''s just me speculating though)
Thanks - will keep an eye out for the date...wonder what sort of turn out there will be at Stamford Bridge?
21. I can''t get to home leg, but I prob can get to away leg - anyone know when that is?
22. I agree Hannibal - a lot being said about the Murphy boys, but I think Morris has real potential.
