Bars in Auckland, NZ showing playoffs
RustysRevenge replied to RustysRevenge's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Crabby, you''re a diamond. Just had a look at their website and its showing Everton v Sunderland pending interest so I might go down there this week & see if they can be persuaded to show the big game instead as that''s just around the corner from where I''m currently staying. Didn''t come out here for a job, just travelling around but I have a visa for a year that allows me to work so will probably have to start looking for employment soon. -

Thanks Crabby. I''m already here, most likely going to be here til next year so won''t get to go to the final either which obviously we''ll win purely because I won''t be there. -

Mark Bunn - a waste of space

Just had a quick look at his Twitter feed & the first thing I saw was Waveney Canary having a pop at him, think that says it all really. -
Watford fan critically injured
RustysRevenge replied to ......and Smith must score.'s topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Just read about a Cambridge fan who was attacked by Southend fans after their game Saturday. What is happening with football lately? Taken from Cambridge Utds website U''s fan victim of unprovoked attack CAMBRIDGE United Football Club are deeply saddened to hear about the unprovoked attack which has left a 41-year-old U''s fan fighting for his life. U''s Chairman, Dave Doggett, said: "The thoughts and prayers of everyone at Cambridge United are with Simon and his family and friends." Simon Dobbin was walking to Prittlewell Train Station with his friend and a small group of fellow United fans after watching the rugby in a pub following the U''s 0-0 draw at Southend on Saturday. The U''s fans made the 500m walk to Prittlewell Station but were attacked as they made their way down towards the platform. Simon remains in Southend University Hospital, in a critical condition. A fundraising page has been set up by Simon''s friends to help with accommodation and travel costs for Simon''s family, click here to visit the page. The Half Moon public house in Mildenhall and Cambridge Floral Designs on Milton Road are also collecting on behalf of Simon and his family. -

Anyone else with a spare? Currently drinking by the ground with a mate that has no ticket & would love to get on the terrace if possible. -

RustysRevenge replied to Tiffey Boy's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I''m guessing there will be a stream somewhere as im currently sat in the Princess Royal outside Griffin Park who have a screen set up & are advertising that they will be showing Brentford v City. -
I can''t see them just sitting back and accepting it. Lambert and Sturridge is hardly the most lethal of strike forces. Big money signing on the horizon I''d say
Andy Carroll again?

Bumped for 6088m canary. Clearly the Quag thread is doing much better than this one.

I clicked on this thinking the missing airliner had been found!

Surprised I haven''t seen Culverhouse mentioned yet as a possible name as new gaffer. I seem to remember as Lambert''s assistant here a lot of people said it was Culverhouse who led the training and did most of the day to day stuff. If we are going down the route of a director of football or such like and are looking for a head coach rather than a manager than he could well fit the bill & might also be looking for employment if Villa don''t want to keep him on after his suspension. Not necessarily saying he would be the right man for the job just surprised that nobody seems to have mentioned him yet.

Malky MacKay STOP
RustysRevenge replied to Overrated, over paid's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Malky is a non starter, he''s on gardening leave from Cardiff so can''t take another job. Same with Clarke & Di Matteo. I''ve long liked the idea of Lucien Favre Indy but doubt we could tempt him away from Gladbach although I wouldn''t mind Spalletti who has recently become available. Just please anyone but Lennon, a manager so bad that even in a 1 team league a fair amount of Celtic supporters are calling for his head. -
Would have liked to see Redmond down the right to expose the space Danny Rose will inevitably leave bit can''t see that happening with Snodgrass starting.

time for the board to act is now..
RustysRevenge replied to Herbert's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City

The time to act was much longer ago. Maybe about March last year.
A month before we confirmed our highest position in 2 decades, higher than when with Lamber and higher than Lamberts Massive Villa?
To be fair that statistic doesn''t tell the whole story. While we did finish higher in the table under Hughton we finished the season with more points under Lambert so it was due to other teams picking up less points over the course of the season rather than Hughton getting more out of his Norwich team than Lambert. -
Advice from exiled Canaries
RustysRevenge replied to RustysRevenge's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Thanks for the advice guys, looks like I got some dodgy info with regards to the A11 being closed. I''ll take the usual route then and so how it goes. -
Due to work & financial commitments tomorrow will be my first game at Carrow Road this season however I have heard that the A11 is closed at the weekends between fiveways and Thetford with diversions in place so was just wondering if anyone recommends any alternative routes or if it''s best to just follow the diversions. I''ll be driving from Milton Keynes if that makes any difference. Cheers guys

ICF's Watford match report
RustysRevenge replied to It's Character Forming's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Pretty fair report but you got the subs mixed up, it was Johnson that went off for Murphy with Fer replacing Hoolahan later on. -
After the last 2 games there I''m guessing the club are waiting to see how many tickets are sold before deciding if they need to book a taxi or a minibus.

Nice and easy for me to get to although my presence at a cup game will ensure we get knocked out!

English players and the EPL issue
(God knows just how much money they are going to get from the sell-on clause in Bale''s contract)
Not much if the reports from a few weeks back are to be believed. http://www.espn.co.uk/football/sport/story/226447.html -
If Becchio''s 4th choice, who''s 3rd choice striker?

I think the more important question is who are we taking off Leeds in this window? Is there anyone decent left?
