1. I struggled with the left central midfielder as well......though not hard to see why when I realised who he was and just how poor he was!
2. Yep, time to explain yourself you naughty boy
3.
you dont have to reply to every thread do you caaanary,
Quite correct Azzuri, I don''t have to, but then I never implied that I did anyway. If I find the constant stream of posts about the same topic boring, with little or no new information being added with each thread, then I''m entitled to comment and comment I will do. It wasn''t a personal attack on fox. No offence intended.
4. It''s not my job to be welcoming, if people persist to post thread after thread on the same topic, then they are going to try people''s patience. There are already numerous threads covering the topic mentioned in this thread. The poster offers nothing new on the matter, but instead proceeds to promise that new players are on the way (unfounded and nothing we haven''t already heard a thousand times already) before going on thank fellow posters (quite what for is beyond me). Why you have to stick your beak in chicken is beyond me. My reply wasn''t personally motivated. Anyway, WELCOME to the pinkun messageboard fox, may all your future posts be as insightful and unique as your first.
5. I doubt it''s Hoolahan to be honest, it seems to be widely accepted that he has signed for someone, due to the fact that no other clubs appear interested. So if he''s signed, he wouldn''t keep "bouncing" away each time.
6. Having just read a piece on myfootballwriter.com it would appear that Roeder was mightily impressed with young Gibbs during his time here. Indeed the article suggests that Gibbs is to be the bench-mark against which all other youngsters (both our own and those brought in on loan) are going to be judged against. I was just wondering what everyone else thought about Gibbs? Personally, I wasn''t too impressed to be honest, although I accept he is still very young. Would you guys be happy to see him back in the yellow and green next season - perhaps on a season-long loan deal?
7. Well it''s just a waiting game at the moment, I''ll give my opinion of how successful the summer has been with regards to signings when the window actually closes. You seem quite confident that money has come into the club though?
8. I went for Germany to win Euro 2008 and I stand by that, they meet Turkey in the semi-finals and I think they should overcome them to be honest. I can''t see Turkey getting yet another unbelievable result - though you never know! As for tonights game, I''m going for........Russia 3-2 Holland AET.
9. Roeder has the right attitude when it comes to the Doc, if he signs, good, if he doesn''t, then it''s no great loss and he can be replaced with other targets on his list.
10. He would definitely be a welcome addition, bringing a bit of extra class to the party. Watch this space I guess.....
11. Glenn sounded confident, so I''m keeping the faith until I have reason to do otherwise.
12. No one doubts that he''s talented, but it''s one thing to be talented and another to be an effective footballer. His attitude clearly hasn''t been right - hence Roeder''s criticism of him last season. I think he''s got one last season to prove himself or move on, before we end up with another Ryan Jarvis.
13. The police have to plan for what might happen, in the worst case scenario. Knowing the rivalry between the two clubs, it''s only right that the games should be moved to Sunday, when they can probably allocate more men to the job. Plus, it gives us the chance to get Sky money in. Before anyone asks, no I''m not a copper!
14. Trust Roeder guys, he knows better than anyone that numbers are needed - and quality ones at that, if we are even to survive next season.
15. Thanks for giving us your insight Cam....another interesting post as ever.
16. Excellent post Wings, sums up the attitudes of certain fans on these boards.
17. Potentially a great coup for the Linnets, I''ve always liked Webby as a coach/manager, so good luck to him for the new season.
18. 1) We don''t even know for sure that he has signed. 2) If he does sign, then give him the chance to show what he can do, before writing him off. 3) His record at Burnley last season was impressive (even if it was only over 13 games).
19. AMAZING end to that game, well done you Turks!!
20. Here here, let''s just wait until things become official....
21. If that''s true....not quite sure what to make of that. With the right service, he might be able to grab a few goals. On the other hand, he could be past his best. Have to wait and see I guess.
22. I only wish that we could one day be half the club that Wolverhampton Wanderers are. Sadly I think that will only ever happen in my (wet) dreams.
23. Couldn''t agree more starman, I felt more relaxed about the situation after seeing that interview, Roeder looked confident and seemed hopeful about getting his top targets. As he says, none of his top targets have been snapped up by other teams - yet!
24. Aaah WWF, can''t say I ever used to watch that myself, although plenty of my friends at the time used to rave about it. True though, it has become all about the money nowadays in football. Sad, but true.
