15th consecutive season in the championship, 700+ games not out. The binmen get the Long-service award, must be due another star on their shirts.

Josh has spent somespare time with Jacob, and i wonder if sibling rivalry is kicking in? Or envy oerhaps?

Whilst we appear to have dodged this bullet, Ross now gets to live in sunny australia living on the southern coast and playing a lower level of football where he should do quite well. Its not all bad for him is it!

too much money and too much time on his hands.

kirku. yes, we''d be better off we had added a striker. but we needed Hanley to improve the defence squad.
-
Hanley offers more competition to the players currently in the starting team defence than some of the "fringe" players on our books.

With Watkins starting, where was....

Isnt Abrahams out on loan? Perhaps Farke doesnt want to destroy the confidence of younger players when they are not ready by heaping too much pressure on them too early in their careers with a step too far too soon? -
The lightning strikes twice car-crash results at Newcastle showed that changes in style were needed, however, a good manager and team can change styles from moment to moment in games or from game to game across a season. Alex Neil changed from Plan A to Plan B, refused to move away from Plan B even though Plan A had some successes in it, and his departure was then inevitable.

4 games played in a row by Klose, 0 goals conceded. Well done.
-
Does Gunn count as a homegrown squad player for future Champions League squad lists? If so, this is one reason for Man City to keep him.

1. We havent conceded a league goal in two games since Timm Klose came back in the team. 2. We havent conceded a league goal in two games since Russell Martin was removed from the team. 3. We havent conceded a league goal in two games since Ivo Pinto was made captain. 4. We havent lost in two games since 1 to 3 above happened. 5. Some people still arent happy.

Labour Would Ban Betting Logos On Kits.
djc replied to TIL 1010's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Formula 1 banned the cars advertising cigarettes a while ago, and that sports industry is still thriving. Perhaps it should be The FA or Fifa who decide to introduce the ban on gambling sponsorship not the labour party. -

Over-rated, over-priced, over-paid underperformers. -

Wayne Rooney. All-time England record top scorer. Former any-time scouse granny hooker record top scorer. Now charged with drink driving. Hey kids, this is what a £200grand a week football role model is.

quote user : lake district canary "It''s ok, we''ll have been working on possession during the break and will have 100% of the ball against Birmingham, so no chance they will score against us" Brum will have at least 1% possession, as they would kick off at the start of either first or second half. And they may still win 1 nil if Russell Martin sticks in another own goal.

Doesn't say much for Webber, does it?
djc replied to Baldyboy's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
We''ll done to Webber, for an inspiring signing today. A decent proven centre half with leadership qualities (new captain material). Something we''ve lacked in recent seasons. -
Anyone yet know his allocated shirt number?
-
^^ culled ^^ (not filled).
-
I can see Martin getting filled either tomorrow or January, as a ruthless statement by the club. Webber wants to do things his way, hence all the new signings. Out with the old, in with the new.
-
Now in the Final year of parachute payments. We don''t have time for a long term project. The board should have invested in the defence once they''d completed their lap of honour at Wembley.

Booing Russel Martin touching the ball.
djc replied to hogesar's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Martin is now in the same boat Craig Fleming got in to at the end of his playing career with us. An excellent full back who moved to centre half, but struggled as time and age caught up with him. Sadly Russ is past his best, and some of his performances in the last couple of years fall short of the high standards he has set (he is not alone in this mind you) but we have no better option available in the squad at the moment. Once the fans turn against a player it takes some something special to win them back. He has been an excellent servant to the club and he is a really nice guy off the pitch, but don''t let him be remembered as this seasons hoping target. -
Tettey- Open to leave Norwich. Im not happy
djc replied to Olano's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
With all the player changes on the pitch this season I am not convinced Tettey is the first name on the team sheet these days. He''s had ongoing injury issus over previous years and has discipline issues racking up endless yellow cards. Perhaps his time with us is coming to the end.- 18 replies

Reading some of Harry Redknapps comments following Birminghams defeat at Burton. Wouldn''t inspire many of his players to go that extra mile. "I need to change a lot of them because they are not good enough for Birmingham City. This is a fantastic football club and if it''s the last thing I do in football I will give their fans a good team."
