1. They will all get a big cheer from me, Greeno had his heart in this club and to be honest I think we did quite well out of him. He had a great rapport with the Barclay and deserves a big cheer. Bellamy I think also has fond memories of our club and I have great memories of him. Ashton left under a bit of a cloud but did score some great goals and we made a lot of money out of him. All three deserve a big cheer and will get it I`m sure.
 2. I think he will do well at Sunderland. There is no doubting his potential and I would bet that Keane will get the best out of him on a more regular basis than we could. I cant imagine any of Keane`s players slacking in the way that Etuhu so often did for us, God help him if he does. I am sorry to see him go and am very concerned about what all this says about the club. We do need to remember though that the two decent players who have gone have both gone to the Prem. Where will Hucks go?
 3.
No I think Etuhu''s transfer has come as a surprise but the transfer of Safri is probably with Grant''s blessing considering how they don''t appear to get on.
I think your right. Grant has said in the past that he believes that Dickson had all the ingredients to become top class. I think Saf and Grant just dont get on. This development will be a massive blow to Grants plans IMO and I suspect he will be as piss.d off as Hucks, interesting to see if he says so. He has ambition but it does not appear to be being matched by the Board, if the rumours do come to fruition. There are not many decent midfield players out there and we could struggle to find replacements.Things appeared to be going so well, does Dickson have a sell on clause like Earnie did, if so why? We were all told that we didnt need to sell players to make additions to the squad. That I suppose cant take account of wantaway players, but all the money from these sales must be made available for Grant!"
 4. City Stand where it joins the snake pit. Great atmosphere, wouldnt sit anywhere else, particularly when the Father Chrismas gives out goodies. Only problem is difficulty seeing corners being taken at the city side of the River End.
 5. If we can get a good fee for him then let him go, as long as, we can spend the money on other players. He has been great for us but recently injuries, Africa Cup, Ramadan, tiredness, all seem to have lessened his effectiveness. He was nowhere near his best for most of last season. In fairness he has suffered because our defence has been so crap, it`s made whoever has played in mid field look poor.I think now would be the time to sell, he has a good reputastion and should get a good price.
 6. If the new guys are as good as people generally seem to think, plus Striker and a couple of quality additions then I think top 6 is possible. The important thing is we get a team spirit back, like when we got promoted, confidence and big support from the crowd makes a huge difference. If we dont gel as a team, and start performing away from home like we did last season then the outcome will be pretty much the same as 06/07. What I really want to see is some genuine leadership on the field, not Granty shouting and hollering from the line but players who are big enough to pull the team together and lead by example.Who will do that for us, Dion , hopefully the Judge, I start scratching my head after that!
 7. Mathew is a good player out of the accadamy but is a bit slow. I know he has been working on his pace with a sprint coach over the last few years and is making good progress. As with all of the ex- accadamy boys who knows how good they are until they get out there in front of a crowd. They can look the biz in training and low grade reserve games but there is no staged progression for them to the real thing. He is a good prospect like so many others but it would be stupid to rely on him to push the otheres for a place at this stage. I think Mathew will go out on loan, apart from thowing them in at the deep end it`s the only way new lads can get any real experience.
 8. I love our club and I want the Future to be Yellow. It was hard to live the name last season, the future looked black, for me it`s brightening up a bit now.I want to see a new striker and a new decent centre half before I can honestly say, THEFUTUREISYELLOW!
 9. I agree jock, you dont reveal the size of your wad before the conquest.
 10.
Whats this obsession with big money transfers?, maybe if we went up and needed really ''next level'' signings I could see it. But I think keeping the cash back now, and hopefully when we need a final ''push'' for promotion, spend it then. To spend big now smells of panic to me................and you don''t do that in July for Gods sake!.
We should spend the money now, and get the bet possible squad together to begin the season, as has been said prices at Christmas are even higher than they are now. If we need to spend more in January for a final promotion push then it would be good business sence to dig a bit deeper into the pockets of the board as the reward would be so great if we were promoted.
 11.
there is nothing (other than an opinion) to suggest there is a problem with the Turners. I find it amazing how people on this board are quick to moan about anything but (in some cases very slow to praise). If the Turners are going to cut back on the playing side then they are going the wrong way about it!! New players and new and in some cases very long contracts do not save money!! Please leave them alone!!
City r us, people aren`t moaning they are discussing the issues raised in the article. The Turners cant take on the directorship of a football club and expect not to be challenged.
 12. An interesting article BBB and very worrying if it reflects the Turners views on buying players. It may be they are talking about the administration and general running of the club rather than the player side, but I am clutching at straws here. This may be the signal that no more of the Earnshaw money and the alledged £2M is to be spent to prevent further defecits next year.Spin at work again? If the Turners came into this thinking that they are running with a traditional business model then they must be dim or dimmer. FILL YOUR BOOTS SMUDGER!!
 13. Grant has had my support from the start and continues to. We all know he took on a crocked squad and to be honest staying up was an achievement with squad morale as it was, injuries, fans unhappy etc. I have always said that I would judge him round Chrismas time, when some suggest a full scale protest will be on the cards, I hope thats not the case and we will be sitting high up in the League by then. Nobody knows, we`ll soon find out. The team that got promoted was a proper "team", Worthy`s biggest mistake was breaking it up, he should have kept what we had and added a bit of quality, not got rid of Malky Iwan etc. He ripped the heart out of the squad. We can not be a team of superstars as things stand so it follows we must be a team of hard working, well motivated players who have a team spirit and a number of genuine leaders within it. That I suppose is my worry. When Malky went we didnt lose a superstar, far from it, but we did lose an inspirational natural leader. There is another post on here about who will be captain next season, nobody leaps out as an obvious choice. That for me is a big worry. The sort of team you describe Wiz and I hope for must have natural leaders, thank god Dion is there but who else can take on that role.
 14. Nobody matters except you my boy. You must be the only person on the board who is important enough to have a real life, congratulations! If you only spend 2.5% of your time worrying about NCFC then you are not much of a fan.For most of us it`s a lot more important than that. I would say you are only a part timer and if you will not be going to games, that virtually makes you irrelevant. You can hardly claim to be a fan with that sort of pedigree.
 15.
Norwich R Us wrote: sounds as if you are liking PG now wiz Sure do Norwich R Us. I''m backing him, the club, board and yes, even ''Deals''. The old wiz you knew is no more....thank God!.
Where has he gone Wiz, will he be back, are you a twin?
 16. We were soft as SH.T at times in mid field last season, from what I hear and the little I`ve seen, Brellier is just what we need to put some steel back in the side. Some of the performances were embarrasing, OK Brellier will get booked, will be suspended, will give free kicks away in dangerous areas BUT hopefully he will free up the likes of Dickson to push forward more.I predict this will be a good season for Dickson, he will score goals and hopefully will have a clear understaning of his role. There is no doubt Sven that we need a player of Brellier`s type, hopefully he will be the right man for the job, i dont care if he scores zilch as long as he free`s up some other play from mid field.
 17.
The signs are optimistic but we have to avoid going overboard - even good quality signings dont always settle in and the good ones sometimes take a while to adapt to a new formation/tactics - ask henry at arsenal. But good progress so far - we need to keep the momentum going though.
Good progress yes Zipper. I have faith in Grant, we may not have players queing up to come but things are looking better. He is undoubtedly working hard and it is showing. The Scottish links are clearly paying off, I just hope he is building a balanced squad, we still need more at the back and a creative midfielder in my opinion. Some would surely say that I am easily pleased, perhaps I want to be where City are concerned but I do feel excited about next season, particularly with all the money we should still have left. Hopefully there will be a few more quality players to come.
 18.
How about Starngers All? As a new centre-back in to replace the Doc? Not much of an iprovement I know... both are wet blankets and esy to run rings around... but hey we do have a limited budget and with the big signings of Smudger and Cluck already accounted for... well it leads little money left to strengthen the rest of the squad I''m afraid!!!  [:P]
Smudger would never turn up for training, he would be sitting in front of a PC.When he did turn up his attempts to persuade other players to join the next demo would probably result in a torrade of abuse on this board about him not having his heart in the club. However having seen one of his one man protests outside Carrow Road last season I have to say he does have balls and it would seem is the genuine article even if I dont agree with him.  Cluck would be another Hughes, running around pointing at people and making a lot of fuss, but  actually unable to do anything himself.
 19.
Never read two more negative posters. Everybody has a right to an opinion but these two would make the most positive of items into non events. Still I guess they know exactly where they stand with their glass always half empty. Cant imagine what they are like on the terraces but probably they dont actually attend matches.
Smudger make this board for me, he is harmless and predictable but good value. Cluck just makes me realise how lucky I am every time I read his self important posts, he obviosly doesnt take himself seriously and nobody on here should either.
 20.

Hang On, It''s usually smudger and all his moaning mates that critisize the club for poor scouting, and no real finds. But hey presto, when we''re credibly linked with what looks to be a decent player, we''ve scouted from abroad, you decide he''s no good because we haven''t heard of him.
Why does he look a decent player? What do you know about him? Nothing do you???
He is a great forward and an excellent potential signing. Bring him on!!!!!!
 21.
Derby also want Norwich striker Dickson Etuhu, West Ham winger Matthew Etherington and Sheffield United centre-back Claude Davis. (People) From the BBC Sport''s Gossip page. If they offer £2mill, fine, if not, they can just stop hovering around our club!
I have been a big supporter of Dickson over the latter part of the season, should we let him go for £2m. if that is on offer. A difficult one this, he has come on a bundle and is potentially a great player, my gut feeling though is that he wont be able to sustain his improvement and will slip back to anonymity for large periods of the season. We do need a fresh mid field so if we can get £2m then bite their hands off.
 22.

Smudger...I''m surprised you even answered this sad little apologists exercise...and even more sad that you are prepared to stand up and fight for this lot. CA has sucked out the usual band of weaklings who would sit and watch Ipswich play if they wore yellow shirts...and they really are best left to fall flat on their faces. Internet nerds who live virtual lives from the comfort of a shoebox. I suggest you do like me...let the sheep take the club down the river to the point where they all bail out...and you, me and the other true club supporters can then return to scrape up the mess. We have Yanks bleating from across the Atlantic (he really has his finger on the pulse doesn''t he?)...Pompous Londoners who can''t resist sticking their snouts into another person''s business (we''ve all seen our villages buggered up by them haven''t we?)...students who''ve got more spots than games under their belts....and of course the "new age" spectator who can afford the seats the real supporters can''t. They are not representative of the City....and not worthy of your effort. The whole City fiasco a waste of time...and under Smith sadly the team itself doesn''t deserve a second thought. There are all sorts of hoorahs turning up at the ground these days...and in truth most of them would struggle to find their way to the ground if you dropped them in Tombland.  Little plastic figures sat in Delia''s cosy dolls house, moved in and out at her behest....and worst of all they pay for the privilege of doing so. Hilarious....but some how embarrassing. They deserve each other mate.........
That seems like a great idea.  You all stop posting on here slating everything that happens.  Spend all your Saturday afternoons in the Coach & Horses moaning and regressing into "Grumpy Old Men" in a self fulfilling prophecy.  When we get relegated / go into administration / or go bust........we will all go away, and you can fill the Directors box and/or dug out. 105 years of history.  The club was here along time gefore you were and will be a long time after.
The club will be...but the majority of the luvvies who nowadays sit in the stands won''t. When the balloon bursts (and not just at NCFC)...vast swathes of these modern trendy spectators will disappear....and the clubs will be pleading for proper fans to return. It''s the club only that I support..not mercenary players...individuals or investors. I''ll be back there when the gloss peels off the grandstands to pick up the pieces ....but I''ll wager more than a few currently on here won''t. For some of us this club is in our blood by birthright...but for most on here it is merely a trendy "interest". We''ll see how many will be left when we are down struggling in League One...as no doubt more than a few will have changed their colours by then.....and may I be so bold as to suggest Manchester United?...............
You do spew some verbal dont you mate. Your an old traditionalist aren`t you, it`s lovely to see and so out of character. You wouldn`t be trying to change your stance and appeal to Wiz would you? Do you perhaps see your self appointed and deluded vision of importance being in some way eroded.
 23.
So Smudger is calling for a protest against the board outside the ground at the first home game of the season. Just wondered who would definately be joining him. Just a yes or no please. I''ll start NO   NO  Smudger got a bit overexcited yesterday and blew it completely. If you want to create a revolution you need to take people with you not turn them all against you!
24.
no - i just think people may have been looking at the postings and got bored with reading the same old negativity again and again
I agree, it`s great to see a lot more people on here, most of the time it`s as boring as hell, the only people who get anything out of it are the gobby ones that keep repeating themselves with an amazing level of self importance.
