I quite like this, providing PLM and Normann can hold the midfield. Some thoughts about Andy O to replace one of the others at the back and I’d play Williams ahead of Gianoulis, but I think this gives us as good a chance as any.

From what I’ve seen I still think Cantwell is the biggest natural talent we have. Hopefully he will be back next week and we can find a way to include him. Norman did seem to be creating chances ( and taking them) yesterday. I think we need to remember that we do need some depth at this level.

I don’t think it was devoid of creativity. It gave both full backs more time to go forward and Williams in particular created some useful crosses in the second half. Additionally Normann played well, both in creating chances and taking them. It was a considerably better performance than last week.

Sorry I hadn’t realised that last season was just practice games. I had assumed we were competing for real with a number of other very good sides ( why can’t we be…?) in the Championship. I’m impressed that Sky and ifollow were willing to show practice games.

It isn’t 15 straight defeats though is it? There was a whole season in between. So how can it be beyond your wildest dreams, when you knew about 10 of them from over a year ago, and many people expected to lose the first few given the opposition. ( No that’s not an acceptance, just a statement of fact!)
