  1. History is littered with the stories of football managers given the sack just days after their boards offer full support.
  2. Mate of mine (who's all talk, it has to be said) swears blind this is true. Sent me this... Personally think younger managers tend to get better reactions out of younger players so I'm not sure this would be a good move for a squad now more invested with older talent, but right now I'd take anything that signalled a change in direction from the clearly failing, tired stuff we're being served up at the minute.
  3. No. Honestly this forum becomes more and more detached from reality with every day that passes.
  4. I think there's plenty of articles which do a good job of explaining this. Try this one.
  5. Oh **** off is he a "working class hero". He's a hero to ****** and idiots everywhere who are spoon fed **** to make them believe he's anything except what he is - a mindless, racist, homophobic **** stain of a human being who profits off of his divisive populist **** because he's been sacked from every job he's ever had. Would you call someone convicted of assaulting a police officer a "hero"? What about someone who's served time for mortgage fraud? What about lying about the partner of a journalist who had written a story about them and subsequently stalking both of them? That's your "working class hero". You do working people an absolute disservice crediting this utter ****ing idiot as being anything other than what he is - a stain on the fabric of this country.
  6. I said not too long ago it would be a sad day when he left, but since then he's shown his continued failings in the role and the accounts have laid bare just what a cluster **** that last season in the Premiership really was. So I've totally changed my mind and can't wait to see the back of him to be frank.
  7. Yeah, hard to conclude anything but this I think. Guess we'll see.
  8. No issue with him being at the F1 while on a scouting trip. Do have an issue with him being in Brazil while the club is imploding though.
  9. Bit harsh. I didn't think he did anything particularly wrong yesterday, nor from what I have seen since he joined. We're lucky to have had a long line of really good goalkeepers at the club. Long strikes me as bang average, rather than "league one standard" and is a victim of comparison to our usually high standards.
  10. Have to say - I was quite impressed by how articulate and knowledgeable Ryan Jarvis is. Would be happy to hear him a bit more often.
  11. Thought he was excellent today. A real handful and a threat throughout.
  12. Not the most sensitive of phrases given what's going on, but can't argue the point
  13. Well that was about as poor a match as I can remember. To start with the solitary positive - I thought Jaden Warner didn't look out of place. Yes he wasn't great - but I thought he was the best of a particularly woeful back four. What on earth Danny Batth has done to deserve not even being given a go (and Duffy done to deserve keeping his spot) is well beyond me. The midfield as deployed today were entirely incapable of performing to provide structure, either to support the defence or to provide a coherent attack. That's a failing of coaching. Nunez was poor. I can't name a player I've watched play for Norwich put in so much of a lacklustre performance for some time. Onel, Rowe, Hwang and Dimi had moments where they looked threatening, but the lack of support from elsewhere while they tried was just woeful. This is a team who aren't playing for the manager or - more worrying - the team. I've now heard two professionals - Stephen Elliot on Radio Norfolk and Chris Sutton on Sky - question the professionalism and motivation of this team. Sara is so inconsistent it's just frustrating. One minute he's oud clear outstanding player, the next he's playing a loose pass and not tracking back. Frustrating. It took until the sending off and the quadruple substitution before we started to get a foothold. Given how poor Blackburn's keeper was at crosses, why did it take so long to start to exploit that? Narcis Pelarch was supposed to be the coach brought in to work on opposition weaknesses. What is his point if he's not doing that? I could go on. I could put forward my thoughts about this being a bad game for Stacey, or that Kenny McLean's involvement in the game was minimal (worrying as the guy who shoulders the defensive link up responsibility with the back four) or highlight what I thought was Duffy's errors for the first two goals - but what's the point? The biggest, single most worrying factor was that Carrow Road appeared to be (from the sky broadcast I watched) an absolute morgue. We were told to expect toxic. Yes it got a bit like that. But I think the overall resounding message was one of sheer apathy. Fans are close to switching off from Norwich City. And what a shame that will be as the ending legacy of Delia, Webber and Wagner.
  14. Would be interested to see his injury record. He seems to pick up a couple of nasty injuries a season.
  15. It always amazes me when a so called fan starts to wish for their team to lose. Disgusting.
  16. You'll be left with the same situation in 12m with no discernable improvement or difference. It's that simple.
  17. Based on what? He's been absolutely shocking for us. Onel has been a more productive player than him. Comfortably.
  18. What does that even mean? Just utter **** in response to a proposal to actually address the problems this club finds itself in.
  19. Based on what? We've seen nearly nothing from him. And it's not like he's not had chances. There's always a player we let go we all think would be our Lord and Saviour when things go wrong. I think in this case I am on very safe ground to say nothing would be different if Tzolis were still here.
  20. I've read a lot over the last couple of days on here which is mostly spot on about a lack of leadership at the club. How on earth have we gotten into this mess? A head coach that the players have stopped playing for. A sporting director on the way out and clearly inappropriate to consider for making any major decisions. Major decisions needing to be made in the interests of this club as a matter of urgency and speed. And here we are waiting for Ben Knapper to grace us with his presence which isn't going to happen for another month yet. It's absolutely nuts that we find ourselves in this baffling situation. Knapper should be here and working on it already - not off on his jollys somewhere "recharging his batteries". We are where we are. So here's my plan to stop the rot. Let go of David Wagner. Nice guy. Lost the plot here at Norwich. Allow Stuart Webber to go. If he's needed, we can call him. Let him go do what he wants to do. Neil Adams should be allowed to make a short term (until end of the season) appointment. It must be stressed that this appointment is a short term one. I mentioned in another thread Nigel Pearson. Someone of this ilk would be ideal. Even if the unthinkable happens and he comes in, plays a blinder and gets us promoted, he should still not be manager next season. Narcis Pelarch should not be the one to get the gig. It needs to be a new voice. Short term manager (STM for short) should be given two jobs. The first - steady the ship. Second - do not lose to Ipswich. If STM gets us to next May having gotten us draws and kept us in the Championship - job done. SORT THE DEFENCE OUT. If I were STM, I would be giving Danny Batth and Jaden Warner a go at center back. Let's stop playing Kenny McLean in any position that sees him assume defensive responsibility (beyond the usual any central midfielder should be assuming). Appoint a chairman. This needs to be a figure that will act as the leader of the board. It should not be Zoe Webber whose time at the helm should also be coming to an end (she can absolutely remain as a board member). It should be this chairman that should become responsible for fan engagement for the rest of this season. At the very least, I want to see a series of interviews and meetings with the fans to reassure us about the viability of this club as a side attempting to break into the Premier League. This chairman can be a temporary figure, subject to the next point, but needs to have an understanding and appreciation of what the owners (be it Attanasio or Delia) intend to stop what has been three seasons of utter regression. Stop with this bloody take over nonsense. Either let Attanasio in or not. This is no time for half measures. Surely in the nearly two seasons of this family being courted and getting to this point we must know whether they are suitable to be the next custodians of the club. From November, let Knapper shape the club as he sees fit. I want the same autonomy given to him that Webber has enjoyed. In particular, we should see a departure from the current recruitment team and regime and a new team entirely put in place. A move away from the "bargain basement" recruitment method of targeting under utilised markets (which we can now see are under utilised for a reason) and more towards the data-led recruitment that we've heard so much about. Pull the plug on the ****ing soccerbot. The aim is to get a certain, clear new start in place for the end of this season. To let the Attanasio/Knapper era of Norwich City begin and an end to the Delia/Webber era which has limped on at least two years too long. Write off this season and prepare for the new era in a manner which gives us fans something to look forward to.
  21. Someone like Pearson may be a suitable candidate to take the helm until the end of the season though, to give Knapper the chance to bed in. I mean this season is a write off already, so anyone who can just keep us away from the bottom three while giving us a bit more steel and defensive capability would do IMO.
  22. The sheer obsession surrounding CC on here is absolutely ****ing mental. Stop harassing the poor guy, and if you don't like him, stop talking to him. Put him on your ignore list.
