1. Quite interesting league of squad values.. not sure how accurate it is but seems to fit. http://www.transferleague.co.uk/ Norwich shown as 15th top spender.. a reason to think twice when people feel we have a right to be beating everyone in the league and start criticizing the players and manager!
2. Im struggling as Norwich.. this game is getting a bit too realistic...
3. hmmm yes i did worry for him today.. ball bouncing off his heel... losing the ball... etc... id like to see hooper start each game and wolf come on as a super sub. its a shame but it may go that way :-/ hope im wrong and he starts banging them in soon!
4. I would say another quality defender would do for now. Just seen a sky article about bargain buys - of the 8 they list, 2 are norwich (wolf and redmond) i think wolf and hooper will do the job with decent backup (becchio elmander) midfield fer and redmond are playing well, hopefully pilks and snodgrass will up their game a bit. a short term aim for norwich should be 8th place in a couple of seasons.
5. I agree with the first post. I believe the premiership is made up of the top 8, then the rest of us. I would have loved to see Norwich take 9th but now realisitcally will be happy with anything above the bottom 3. The squad are good enough to stay in the league.. as another poster mentioned we spent big to keep up and so should keep up with the main pack (9th to 17th ish)
6. to be fair i also get why people arent happy. I just think looking at the league and the money spent the top 8 are in a league of their own, the rest of us will all scrabble around between 9th and 17th... and there wont be much difference come the end of the season... we will lose more games than we win but that is the same for most clubs... its a shame but thats the reality. I know we all want better performances and last night (watford) showed how poor we can be.... just not sure i see another option at the moment, apart from bankrupting the club with more players and grabbing some panic choice manager... di canio is available?! either way, Football manager 2014 is out in a month so ill show everyone how its done (playing grant holt till hes 40)
7.

I just see no evidence of a progression from last season. Maybe you do, and I''m just not seeing it when I watch the games and the standard of football we play. We haven''t looked a Prem side in quite some time, so if there''s something you feel I and others who are saying the same as me are missing, please feel free to share with us what it is that you see....
Yeah, two spring to mind.Firstly, no progression from last season? The one where we finished 11th? How much progress do you expect from a club with our resources!!?Secondly, five games into last season we were only one place better off than we are now and had only three points on the table. Again, that season finished alright for us, did it not? And three of those saw two losses and a draw against teams that would ultimately finish below us (Fulham, QPR and Newcastle). Was there any reason to believe then that we would finish so high up the table? If it happened before; why is it so hard to believe that it could happen again?
agreed and agreed.. this isnt football manager(c) .. we have made progression but so do most other clubs.. you cant expect them to all sit still and let us progress past them? as for the use of the word "chilax" i do so in jest.. id never say that in real life! re the earlier comment saying Norwich dont show enough attacking etc.. this is because they need to be defensive minded a lot of the time, you cant just chuck 6 players up the field every few minutes. Im not expect and dont pretend to be, no offence intended by saying im a "Sensible one" everyone is entitled to an opinion - which is why i do enjoy this forum sometimes ;)
8. glad to see people agree ;-) there are some of us who remain sensible! re the first reply- i went for a walk .. but in gta5... the trouble with a monday off work is that ive spent all day playing it .. blerrrg! need fresh air :)
9. Ive just had a look at some posts on here. Please everyone dont forget- Norwich, compared to other teams in this league are a small club. We are still new to the premiership - we have finished mid-table the past 2 seasons. We have spent big money this year.. but so has almost every other club. Norwich will not win every game. Villa will not win every game. Even Man utd will not win every game. We will not finish 5th this year then win the league the year after as some people seem to expect and assume is our birthright. If we scored the penalty against Villa we probably would have won the game. Football is like this. I hope this makes some kind of sense, I just hate reading people bleeting about how Norwich should be winning every game or playing better etc... they are trying but dont forget every single other club is trying too.. only 1 can win. Sometimes it will be us, sometimes it wont. :)
10. so what happened next? did he have to stand there sheepishly - half naked for a few minutes, thousands of people staring at him (6,000 at Wigan??) whilst they went and found him another shirt? :-P
11. Id prefer the team to have a core of players from the home countries... am a little worried players like Wolf will leave after a good season - using Norwich as a stepping stone.. so Hooper all the way for me.
12. Delia to Chelsea owner (in the voice of Liam Nesson) "£7 Million?? You come to this ''county'', take advantage of the system and think because we are tolerant that we are weak and helpless. Your arrogance offends me. And for that the price just went up 50%." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ydzVCGZtF-Y
13. I agree with- Chris Martin, in league 1 he had some great times paired with Holt, always hoped he would grow with the promotions and showed the odd spark late on.. shame. I remember seeing him turn and score a goal and think "wow" ... meh.. championship obscurity for him now i think. I used to always make him good on footy manager!
14. im probably missing something but i thought camp only just joined as number 3? - i guess he just wont be needed what with all the other keepers..
15. i still cant believe 18million to build a stand.. you could build 50 4bedroom houses for that price.. and the stand is just a few seats :-P
16. last season people complained about the defence.. Houghton has improved that, sadly at Norwich''s level something has to suffer- thats been the attack. but, Norwich have the most draws in the premiership.. - shore up the defence and take steps to improve attack.. Next season! a good job has been done earning them draws that have kept us up for the "difficult" second season.
17. keep him. people forget every club is aiming to improve, every club around us aims for that mid table finish etc etc... so some will always miss out.. norwich were league 1, its not a certain we will improve every year, because that means its a certain the other clubs will not improve... if that makes sense! be happy with where we are .. for now!
18.

i just heard the audio commentary today so cant be certain but is this pic from the penalty- https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BHv1whyCEAAcQPF.jpg:large if so, i have a simple rule for norwich players: dont grab handfuls of opposition shirts!! its simple!!! just mark the players :( as i say- i may be wrong. yes the ars-nal player is grabbing norwich but then let him give away the foul!
Right enough. But both players holding each other''s shirt. 50 -50. So why a penalty? In real time it must have been impossible to tell who started it, I may be wrong. But for the first time in a long time I shall be interested to see what the pundits say on MOTD and the slow and the real time video.
agreed its 50-50 and shouldnt be a pen.. but- we are our danger zone of our own penalty area, the arsenal player has so much less to lose.. a free kick at worst for him, we lose a penalty.. i cringe every time i see it happen... just not worth the risk :(

20. I wasnt overly impressed with Kamara either though- as the commentators said he was waiting for the ball to come to him (with a low ball in to the box where he would have had a simple tap in) - he should be rushing to it, aware that the defender is closing him down... time to start Becchio and watch him prove his worth?
21. just like the old days! last minute goals ;) hopefully now the media will start saying "4 games undefeated" instead of however many without winning.
22. 7 points clear this year and doing ok. people tend to forget Norwich arent the only team trying to move forward... every team takes steps to improve, they cant all win.. Norwich are a small club doing very very well... enjoy it! :-D
23. shame... but Hooper would be just as good I say
24. happy days- draw, win, draw against Tottenham this season.. imagine that a couple of years ago! QPR obviously an important game - I dont think Norwich have lost against the teams we went up with yet.. :)
