i wonder how it would work with one on the wing and the other taking a deep striker role.. so basically setting eachother up down one side of the pitch... but yes, the big gamble is then having wes not play and putting a defensively minded player in his place

Sorry for the lazy question (about to go to sleep) Do you think we could start with both Murphys on the pitch, I seem to think one plays left and one right when playing footy manager... Is this something people would like to see or prefer the super sub option for one of them this season?

i guess companies do this the world over, like BP saying they will have to sack staff because instead of 10billion profit they "only" made a 6billion profit.. such rubbish when its still all profit. as others have mentioned, the poor voiceless admin/back staff getting sacked so they club can save £50k a YEAR. That same club will probably then put big posters of their players up that cost 20k or something stupid...kinda like my local council did with posters around a building site... no loyalty to the working staff :(

its such a rubbish "government style" thing.. like when cameron said "we are in this together" with cuts, then all mp''s took an 11% pay rise. meh. not really sure what my point is, im just annoyed at the way people are screwed over! :))

Just seen Villa saying they will need to make compulsory staff redundancies to balance the books next year.. i think they are implying backroom staff, by that i imagine the admin people earning 20k a year... this sort of thing infuriates me, get rid of 1 player earning 20k a week or 52 staff earning 20k a year.. simple maths sack the player... but nope :( rubbish football club.

sorry, turn what around? this is the norwich thread isnt it? be real! norwich are newly promoted, our aim is to avoid relegation, we "shouldnt" be beating top 4 teams like Tottenham, this isnt football manager the game, norwich will struggle unless they spend 200million like the top 4 clubs do... be real.

tentative interest they do just make these things up, otherwise they would say something like "potential norwich scout spotted at game" etc :P

boo''s at half time... how stupid are people!! ruddy has had nothing to do and norwich are drawing - a defensive team setup to try and stop the losing streak. Stop booing and drink some bovril.

i agree with upperbarclay- there are 3 worse teams than norwich. this season is about just being better than the bottom 3 if being realistic.. anything else is a bonus. today norwich went all out attack, if you are going to lose then go for it, the gamble didnt work sadly.

i think also its a good season due to the woeful sunderland taking 1 slot.. probably bmouth now 99% of their squad is injured so just 1 relegation space to fill - you would hope aston villa and newcastle are on for that.

also... how often do teams spunk all their cash then still get relegated then have huge debts.. like qpr buying 4000 players... its about being sensible, just like i am on football manager

when norwich spent near 25million(?) they got relegated. im all for bringing in good players but trust the professionals they probably dont want to pay inflated prices for players and we have a decent enough squad anyway :)

i think a lot of this comes down to- if we bid 6million then a club say no and we bid 10million... then in january we have to bid 11million for players etc etc.. the club dont want another RVW and so show restraint when splashing the cash.. that said, not sure why johnson left maybe he was told he will have to rotate with the other midfield players.

Really hoping Derby get a nice mid table finish now, perhaps along with qpr. :) :(

im a bit confused why norwich have a yellow and green first kit, a green 2nd kit and a mixture of a 3rd kit - none have red in them... then the staff and training all wear the red tops that kinda look like they are from last season. why not just have green training kits or something?! either way, MEH!

i know its only two games in but i love how their experts are easily proven wrong, they all predicted norwich to be worse of the promoted teams, yet now norwich sit highest (probably will stay that way when bmouth lose) :)

love to see west ham go down just due to them moving to the huge Olympic stadium and almost thinking they are now a top 4 club. would be quite humorous seeing them in the championship with the stadium half empty.
