  1. On a previous discussion you gave me rocks for my opinion about which formation suited us best, saying that there was no such thing and it was down to players adapting to their game to do what was needed.
  2. 1 - 0 for me and I''d snatch you hand off for it.
  3. There is no way that anyone reading websites or media content can possibly be in a position to make a judgement. Only a jury that has sat through days of testimony are in a position to do that. They are also directed by a Judge that if there is reasonable doubt they should not convict. I''m not saying it''s impossible for the jury to get it wrong, just that it''s much more likely they will get it right compared to an outsider without all the facts.
  4. Can''t agree with that Tim. Quite rightly somebodies reputation does not count as evidence either for or against them incourt. In fact anyone who knows any witness or expert cannot remain on the jury. I''ve sat on two juries and I can say without doubt that the whole process was thorough and taken very seriously by everyone. There is no way that anyone reading websites or media content can possibly be in a position to make a judgement as well informed as a jury that has sat through days of testimony. I''m not saying it''s impossible for the jury to get it wrong, just that it''s much more likely they will get it right compared to an outsider without all the facts.
  5. Rudd Whittaker Cuellar Miquel Garrido O''Neil Odjidja-Ofoe Bennett Howson McGrandles Hooper That''s a strong side and to think that not one player took to the field against Birmingham. Gives an indication of our strength in depth
  6. Best performance from Redmond that I''ve seen for quite a while. Some real quality crosses going in gave them plenty to worry about. Strange timing for this post considering his performances have clearly improved over the last few matches
  7. I don''t think what happened is a black mark on our season. In fact quite the contrary. Bassong is a player and he was disrespectful to the new manager, apparently in front of other squad members, This allowed Adams to stamp his authority. In that one moment he showed he had the balls for the fight and that he is not to be messed with, which is imperative if his diccissions are not to be questioned.
  8. Agree A1. I don''t think I''ve ever come close to disliking anyone else in football as much as him. He was total poison. Maybe he and Tan are made for each other.
  9. Vaguely. .... We hate Liverpool too, Cant remember after that
  10. Spot on OP. Make no mistake, Brentford are a very decent team, particularly at home and to ride out their pressure and win with some clinical finishing is the sign of a very good team. Trying to keep my feat on the ground but we are looking good!
  11. There were plenty on here bemoaning that we let him go and that he would be the fatalist to take us back up. He could still come good but it''s beginning to look like another top decision.
  12. I''m getting the feeling that this year is going to be something to remember even though so few games have been played. Tonight''s game will be a real test. Brentford have a really good home record and is just the sort of place where we could be brought down to earth. If we win this one Essex I think it will be time to get excited..
  13. Enjoyed it Essex, thanks. Being an older supporter I''ve experienced the hope followed by crushing disappointment many times. They just serve to make the highs so much better when the do actually turn up! Tiny point - we beat Manchester 2-0 not 2-1 when Ashton scored.
  14. Agree with you jimmy. The qualifiers might even be a bit more interesting as well!
  15. Like most on here I don''t see the need for the third keeper - Bunn needs to move on when he''s back to fitness. Rudd went out last year and, by all accounts, seems to have benefited from his loan. This suits the club as we now have a decent standard young keeper as back up but how exactly Rudd views that only he will know. Considering he has just signed a new contract I guess he is satisfied for now. One way round that is to play Rudd in the non Championship games which considering the length of our usual cup runs doesn''t amount to much.
  16. If there is no way back for him then we must be able to loan him somewhere - even if we pay half his wages it would be better than this. Any idea how much longer his contract has left to run?
  17. Thanks PC. Interesting and informative as always.
  18. Now we have recently signed a couple of midfield players and the Bournemouth game has taken place, coupled with the fact that there has been no news of him signing the contract extension he was offered, then there must be some change that he will move.
  19. If we get the Arsenal defender and nobody leaves then that will do me for this window at least.
