In my post I didn’t state that Dean Smith was magnificent in the Championship BUT did state that Daniel Farke was. You might find it helpful to try and understand what you read.

Many of the posters on this forum need to be infected with a realism virus. DF was a magnificent head coach in the Championship and an utter disaster in the PL. DeAn Smith is as good a manager as an impoverished club with limited ambition is going to get. He took a struggling Aston Villa and took them to promotion to the PL the same season. He them kept them up, unlike DF, thanks to goal line technology failing and was sacked by a panicked board when there was no reason to believe he couldn’t keep Villa up. we are awfl tjis season mainly due to the poor recruitment last summer.
