Only way out, in my opinion is null and void the season. Any other options leaves it open to legal challenge.

Several EFL clubs in trouble
City fan replied to dylanisabaddog's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I was reading an article which stated some lower league players will be earning very little as apparently it is standard practice in the lower leagues to load the contract and salary payments at the beginning of the contract. With tapering of money towards the end of the contract. -
I'm not renewing my season ticket.

The tax payed by City players is peanuts. Reducing their salery isn't exactly going to break the country. -

In todays national newspaper an article regarding renewing season tickets and DD payments. Every premiership club except one has delayed renewals other than one and you've guessed it, Norwich City who are dealing with DD on a case per case basis. So much for being a community club, yet another PR mishandled.

Is there a D/D deferral plan?
City fan replied to City 2nd's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
And this thread shows how greedy the payers are. Fans genuinely struggling to pay their monthly DD. The players stalling over taking a pay cut on their substantial salery. -
The premiership as an organisation and players in particular have shown what a bunch of greedy to**ers they are. This has been a PR disaster which could have been avoided. The city players could have taken a 20% pay cut, only in the short term and that 20% cut could have been used to pay the backroom staff the 20% cut they are taking in their pay. Most if not all backroom staff would be on minimum wage or very close to it. The world we were before this pandemic will be totally different when we come out of this crisis. The moral compass will be reset.

For the integrity of Football - tosh!!

There is no integrity in football, only money. -
I always liked McCarthy's straight talking. Under the circumstances he's made the right decision.

Prem league date pushed back.
City fan replied to City 2nd's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
There is no way the current season will be finished by August. The government's lockdown legislation is for six months with a review every three weeks. The Premier league management and EFL, in my opinion, either have to null and void the current season or cause uncertainty over two seasons. The knock on effect of attempting to finish this season is to great. -
That's about right for a Labour member. The real nasty party.

How do you think the current season will be concluded?

Warnock on his way to Portman Road

Warnock isn't a league 1 manager. No way will he drop down. He's premiership championship level. -

Other than 6 or 7 clubs, that will always remain the premiership, most clubs in the premiership are just passing through on their way back down. The financial mountain is massive between 6 or 7 clubs and the rest. The premiership isn't all it's cracked up to be. I'd rather watch a competitive championship league any day.
