  1. Maybe Farke has seen something to suggest waiting around at the ground too long has a negative effect on our players somehow? We often train before a game as well might be a way he''s helped us stay focused. The half time thing is likely just gamesmanship and making the opposition wait around imo. Can''t question any of it at the moment though. One of the things I think fans liked about Lambert''s era is that we stopped being soft touches and gave as good as we got with the ugly side of the game. Seems like something Farke is trying to bring in as well.
  2. In the post match interview, when speaking about the Ref I think that''s the first time i''ve ever seen Farke look away and up at the sky in either disbelief or if trying to hide his true feelings about the guy. I thought he was pretty much what you''d expect from a Championship referee. Bad but not obviously biased or totally unfit for the job. Did anyone else think he was really that awful? Anyway, what a win! Things feel like they''re almost going too well! Wins, signings settling in and looking extremely good value, players working hard, we''re well organised, defence sorted, scoring great goals, competent with set pieces, making great decisions on the pitch etc. I can''t be alone in wondering what''s the catch? :P
  3. Seems like he just didn''t work hard enough in training this week, whether through being distracted or issues away from the club I dunno but good to see Farke stamping it out immediately. If I was to guess from his body language v Bristol he seemed to be getting fed up with all the off the ball work and might have wanted to just be allowed to play what he feels is a his natural game, a purely attacking role. Despite his ability and potential he''s not good enough to justify that role at this level, nor is pretty much anyone in our squad, even Wes really gets stuck in nowadays. Even if we had a 27 year old Huckerby I bet he''d have to do an awful lot more work to the detriment of his forward play if he was playing in 2017 Probably just got frustrated but has been dealt with well it seems. Hopefully he comes back soon in the right frame of mind.
  4. Totally makes sense Bethnal, but surely they could have gotten someone better than Southgate for that job in the first place. Who''s next in line, Aidy Boothroyd ffs, a lower league long ball merchant. Nothing wrong with promoting from within but surely they can attract better!
  5. Aren''t Anderlecht that club who bribed referees in the past? Not that bothered about Celtic but always nice to see a scummy club losing.
  6. "pervious posts" God damn. I''m dropping more clangers than Ruddy at the moment. Need some time on the bench
  7. Agreed. It''s refreshing! Fans want a team giving their all, we know from that the results will come, we''ve got that now alongside a great togetherness and connection with the club/fans. This is going to be an exciting ride, with or without loads of goals :P
  8. I know it was in the Premier League and Hughton had an extremely difficult job Lakey but despite that approach we conceded chances by the bucket load and were impotent up front. I think Hughton did a decent job with the benefit of hindsight but I don''t agree that his approach to games was the right approach for us. We stuck with him longer than most would have and didn''t repay the faith. It''s a shame it didn''t quite click for him here but our mistake was not dismissing him earlier in my opinion
  9. I''n my experience, especially from sharing Wembley with them the Middlesbrough fans are class. If anyone''s paid any attention to my pervious posts I tend to enjoy slagging off other teams for petty reasons but I like their club. We time wasted and spoiled again for all we were worth tonight. How many of our players got coins thrown at them? How many fans have been hospitalised? Did Garry Monk run into our technical area and boot over our equipment? No? Hmm, it''s almost like holding onto a lead doesn''t warrant disrespectful and violent behaviour! Well done to all who traveled as well, did us proud tonight, stream didn''t have any commentary so you came through loud and clear! Great effort
  10. Love it! Really needed this. Thanks City! Loving this young, passionate team more and more gamy by game. We score, we don''t score, we''re unlucky/lucky whatever. We have a team that does the club proud! Brilliant stuff! :D Glad I didn''t bet against them out of spite for life :P
  11. Cheers Lincoln. So far so good! Always expect the unexpected with City :D Never saw this coming!
  12. Had a devastatingly sh1t5 day that''s turned my world upside down. Tends to snowball with me till I break. Expect a massive loss. Any kind of result tonight would give me something good to cling onto, so it won''t happen. Almost tempted to bet a huge amount on Boro, we might get a draw then!
  13. Yep, think we''ll see a return to three at the back for that game. We''ve certainly been erm...for the sake of the Pink Un filter let''s call it unfortunate this year haven''t we? I almost dread loading this site up at times because it seems bad news is always round the corner. Waiting for Klose, Gunn, Pinto and Jerome to all get injured next
  14. Move it to CR then ffs and play it on the Wednesday.
  15. Hate Palarse. Aside from the usual stuff I''ve just never met a fan of theirs who wasn''t a total t055er....and Andy Johnson. Historically extremely similar to us, but they just rub me the wrong way. Hope they go down but I could say that about 5/6 other clubs in that league. Palace, Stoke, Burnley, Watford, Bournemouth, West Brom etc yawn. Lot of really nothing clubs with either rich owners or awful styles of football. Even Swansea don''t play decent football anymore. If it wasn''t for the money in that league I''d be glad to be out of it
  16. I just can''t stand watching an uncommitted team going through the motions or every week players just not being up for it or working hard enough. We could''ve scraped into the play offs last year and it would have still been a really sh1t5 season for us fans. Most players we have this year, particularly the new signings like the ones named seem to understand what a privilege it is to wear the shirt. Should our finances improve in the future I hope we stick with this type of recruitment policy. No more Mulumbu/Jarvis type over the hill mercenaries please City!
  17. Was always going to be hard work when Jerome, Murphy and Vrancic all decided to have an off day together. Watkins struggled to get into the game as well so the result wasn''t surprising. I know our options were extremely limited but I don''t think our pace caused them much trouble today, I think if we had Hoolahan and Maddison (and Oliviera, if possible) playing instead of Vrancic and Murphy we would have had a lot more joy. We played a bit like an away team today and it just didn''t really come off. We got in behind a lot, but never tried anything clever. We really should have won though even so. Just some individual poor finishing that''s cost us in the end, not the game plan or personnel chosen. Trybull is a hell of a player as well! Always makes the right decision, always knows where the second ball''s going to land and what the oppo are planning and works extremely hard. If only we could somehow transplant his brain into Murphy''s head :P
  18. Would prefer Tettey and Wildschut more rested for the next game. They''re players that are naturally more suited to playing away/on the counter. No point using Wildschut if there''s no space to run into, for example, but could be really effective after 60 minutes. Would''ve played Wes instead of Vrancic but I like that team, bring it on!
  19. He himself demanded experience and PL nous from the signings we made. He constantly kept going on about how many other teams had 15 mil+ players and we didn''t. Instead of doing what a good coach would do at a club in our position which is work on the training pitch with what he''s got and ask for young, hungry players to work with he wanted ''proven quality'' and within our budget got what he deserved, ie the likes of Jarvis/Mulumbu/Dorrans/Naismith/Brady etc It was a stupid idea. If we threw every penny we had into it we could afford maybe one or two proven PL players. That plan was never going to work. I think with AN''s playing/management style if we''d have done what Huddersfield have done this year and bought young players suited to their style instead of ''names'' for millions we''d have all done better. If only someone like Webber was brought in after our first relegation instead of an uncommitted, totally unsuitable Royle. AN doesn''t know how to assemble a team but he''s a pretty decent manager, under a DoF type I feel he''d do extremely well
  20. I don''t see it as ''happy clappers'' patting each other on the back. Just common sense. All the factors Westcoast identified should have been in fans minds before the season even kicked off. What the hell were you expecting? Even Lambert took 5-10 games to really get going in L1, alongside the countless other examples of a new regime needing time. Not freaking out at those early results doesn''t make me a happy clapper. I''m not, I love a good moan and my football club is often an easy target. If we''re not performing in 6 months time I''ll be part of the moaning b45t4rd brigade. You lot were in the wrong to get on the clubs back so freaking early. That reaction was getting dangerously close to Wolves fans in the early 2000''s territory level of delusion and entitlement. Perhaps the problem is you lot not being able to see the bigger picture instead of criticizing people who can for being ''happy clappers''
  21. Was about to post exactly that Westcoast. Millwall concerned me I will admit but the rest of the defeats barely registered with me, I was expecting a settling in period and that''s what we got. The boo''ing in the stands and discontent on social media went way over my head. I normally understand it, I wanted Worthy, Grant, Roeder, Hoots, Adams and Neil out as much as anyone when they passed their sell by dates but some of the reactions at the start of this season really took the p155!
  22. Another feather in Webbers cap. Helps that he''s perfectly suited to the way we''re playing as well. Better player than Howson? Probably not, but a much, much better deep lying playmaker. Another couple of stand out performances and I''ll be seriously worried about bigger clubs sniffing around with the contract he''s on. Easy for me to say as I''m not in charge of the clubs finances but I hope we sign him up asap even if it means giving him a pretty good contract. He''s a unique. really effective player and has a superb attitude on the pitch. Has played an even bigger part than Klose imo in our recent run of good performances
  23. Ah no, just been getting the £5 weekly passes. Must be why then, cheers for the info. Out of interest, with the full subscription where on the site do you go for the replays? I would have thought I''d be at least seeing the thumbnails, even if they were locked.
