Syteanric 1 Posted October 22, 2014 Waveney is obviously running out of idea''s for his alter egos now... they used to have to come from Norwich and Norwich alone...

Craig Brown 0 Posted October 22, 2014 I wouldn''t sack Neil Adams now. Just think about the bigger picture. We are in the top six - the play-off positions and we are only 3 points away from Watford - just 3 pts away from automatic promotion spot and 4 pts away from top. Things can quickly change. So what will you say if Norwich go and win 3 games in a row? You must be so short sighted. Just overreacting after 3 bad games. Some berks do panic! Norwich have been playing well in those games they have lost as well. They have been dominating and creating chances and playing good attacking football. If Norwich drop out of the top six and then get well behind teams in the play-off positions then I would start thinking about changing the manager. But the fact is the situation just isn''t that bad. We are still in with a chance of getting promoted - all it takes is a couple of wins and we will be in the top two again. Just be patient - keep the faith. Neil Adams will get things right. He is learning - like every other manager in football.
Craig Brown 0 Posted October 22, 2014 Also comparing the situation last season is stupid. This season we are in the Championship - so there is different expectations. Last year we had a negative defensive clueless manager. But Adams isn''t that type of guy - Norwich play attacking football and try to score goals and have a go. Surely we can live with that can''t we. The only problem have at the moment is they need to just be a little more creative and take their chances and stop making silly individual errors - that means players like Turner not giving the ball away and players like Jerome / Grabban / Lafferty taking their chances. If we can get those things right - the results will come. But there is no need for all this ridiculous talk of changing the manager - things are hardly that bad. lake district canary 4,531 Posted October 22, 2014 I disagree that the differences are as stark as people make out. The two games against Cardiff last season resembled the Alamo, yet we got one point instead of six. Lots of attacking intent in those two games, yet, nothing much to show. Goals win you matches and if the strikers had been up to the job last season and scored even four or five goals each, we would still be in the Prem - probably with Hughton still as manager and everyone would say that he had achieved well. Don''t get me wrong - Hughton failed - but in terms of results it doesn''t matter if you are cautious or attacking - if you don''t score, you don''t win. Dubai Mark 0 Posted October 22, 2014 In reality of course, whether you are an "inner",an "outer" or somewhere in between and you know your football, understand that our squad is very strong compared to the majority of other clubs in this league, perhaps all of them, then you will certainly be in the "concerned" category right now....if not then something is not registering. Certainly no need for panic or any knee jerk right now, but concern...yes...

Certainly no need for panic or any knee jerk right now, but concern...yes... That''s fair comment, there is bound to be a level of concern following our recent results. But as you also point out Mark, if you know your football the level of concern will be very much tempered by our present circumstances. Concern because we are playing poorly and not getting results would be one thing, in this case however the concern is that we are dominating games and not winning them. A much lower level of concern but of course one that needs to be addressed.

Making Plans 936 Posted October 22, 2014 I wanted Adams from the start & have no reason to change my mind. Whoever we had we were never going to walk this league although some people seem to believe it should be easy. Overall we are doing OK - you don''t win this league in October, you win it in May. Yes things have been a bit disappointing of late but we are still well in contention. No reason whatsoever to change Manager who I''m confident will get things sorted out and win promotion.
