nutty nigel 7,534 Posted September 24, 2014 Welcome PUPs to week eight of our Rays Funds season. This week we have Sputcho in charge and making the final selections for the very first time. Splutcho is one of our top PUPs and is one of the six 7/7ers sitting proudly at the top of our league. Splutcho already has a place on Ray’s signature thanks to his great effort last October when he was responsible for the first ever win with the match bet. As well as being such a successful PUP Splutcho has become a great help to me on these threads. Many times he’s picked up on things and brought them to my attention as well as making some really helpful suggestions. I like knowing he’s around helping us and he’s becoming an invaluable member of this great team of PUPs. Our Splutcho is just the man to get us back to winning ways this weekend. But he will still need the help of the rest of you wonderful team of PUPs to do it. So let’s give him our very best selection from the games played on Sat/Sun/Mon of this weekend listed on the William Hill web site. It has to be Bill Hill this weekend because thanks to Jav’s great effort last time we have a £10 free bet voucher which has to be used within the week. Mr Apples is in charge of the Norwich match bet this weekend. He joined us at the beginning of the current season and I can already tell we have another top PUP in our team as five of his first seven selections have been successful. I’m so grateful to our anonymous benefactor for this extra bet. One of his main motives was to give the newer PUPs a chance to become more involved while they wait for the chance to pick the final six. With well over 50 top class PUPs picking each weekend and only 40 weeks available for the final selections I certainly know how Neil Adams feels with all his good players and only 11 starting places available! We’ve had a win in each of the last five match bets and I think Mr Apples is just the man to keep this run going. So let’s give him plenty of good options for the game against Blackpool on Saturday. Good luck Mr Apples, we have £6 to spend so you can choose up to six selections either from the PUPs suggestions or of your own. Last Friday I went to Colney to present last year’s £655 to the Community Sports Foundation. I asked one of these thread’s greatest friends Ricky Martin to present the cheque on your behalf. Here’s a photo showing Ricky with me and Jellytot presenting the cheque to Emma Fletcher from the CSF. : - Emma is another lovely person I’ve met through Rays Funds and she’s going to be a great friend to us all. Emma took on board the wishes of you PUPs and is working out which disability team could benefit best from our contributions. As soon as the details are finalised I’ll report back again. I think it will be fantastic to have a real focus to where our funds go and have a disability team to follow. That’s it for now so I’ll hand this week’s thread over to Splutcho and Mr Apples. Remember there’s no pressure because we are all going to be doing our best to help you to success. We all stand together with the single aim of raising money for the Community Sports Foundation. Good luck all you PUPs... Take it away Thomas and Graham ... the thread is yours.......[:)].......... As always I leave you with Ray’s signature which now reads :- Carve their names with pride.Yankee,5,Fellas,3,P''boro,2,Mr Chops,2,NewYork,2, Inch High,3, Blahblahblah, NCFC_Shaun, 1st Wazzock,3, Fonejacker,3, Norfolkbroadslim,2, Norfolkchance1,2, Scooby,3, Trent Canary,2, Cosmic Twin,2, Graham Humphrey, Leedscanary,2, NcfcStar, Herman, Delia’s Devonshire Dirtbox, Lappinitup, Statto, Mandie Moo, Mr Bump, Kathy, Til1010, Snake-eyes, Vindo,2, NWC, Hughesy. Hissing Sid 154 Posted September 24, 2014 After a dreadful start where I have picked as many losers so far as in the whole of last season, I''m off to Finland to try and get back on track.TPS (bottom, 6-6-17 27-51) v HJK Helsinki (top, 17-7-3 52-19) - Away WinFor the NCFC bet how about Norwich to win both halves at 16/5.Best of luck Splutcho, Mr Apples and all you PUPs. killiecanary 0 Posted September 24, 2014 Ha! On time at last this week!Borussia Dortmund to beat bottom of the table Stuttgart at home. Stuttgart have a single point and a single goal from George first four games, and Dortmund is always a difficult place for anyone to go as Arsenal proved the other week. For The City bet, how about Norwich to win by 2 clear goals.
splutcho 173 Posted September 24, 2014 Hi Killie, good pick, unfortunately it''s tonight!
Feedthewolf 4,846 Posted September 24, 2014 I''m going to avoid the obvious Barcelona at home bet in a search for more value; Celtic are 1/3 to win away to St Mirren, whose home record so far is 3-0-0-3-0-6.

Mr Apples 1,320 Posted September 24, 2014 Hi everyone, cheers to Nutty for the build-up (must not blow the run, must not blow the run) and thanks for the opportunity to pick this week''s match bet. I''ll be looking to post the selection late afternoon on Friday so fire your suggestions in!!! I''m an exiled City fan up here in Scotland (hence quite a few Scottish suggestions, local team Stirling Albion - they are utter garbage), so this week I''m North of the Border again for another top vs. bottom clash. I''m going with Ayr United (Home win) vs. Airdrieonians in Scottish League 1. For the match bet I''m being tempted by a Blackpool red card (anytime) and looking forward to hearing all your excellent suggestions! All the best and happy hunting PUPs! Trent Canary 0 Posted September 25, 2014 Really tough week. Will back up the Molde selection.Molde are top and well clear, however with no European games should be fully focused on beating a Bodo/Glimt team who are in mid-table. Molde are 10/2/0 at home.Best of luck allNCFC Bet - Over 3.5 goals.

nutty nigel 7,534 Posted September 25, 2014 Us PUPs are made of strong stuff! There''s no place for wimps here. The surgeon had hardly put the knife down before Mr Angry got on here making sure Splutcho got his selection this week. That''s dedication for you and as the late Roy Castle used to say "Dedication is what yoiu need"[8] Splutcho, my selection comes with a health warning because I''ve been wrong in each of the last four. But I like Northern Ireland Premier Division where we have a top v bottom clash. Portadown are W4 D0 L1 F10 A2 at home. Warrenpoint are W1 D0 L4 F3 A7 away : - Portadown v Warrenpoint Home Win. For Mr Apples I''m sticking with Norwich to win the game in the second half. 7 of our 8 away goals have have been after the break. HT Draw / FT Norwich Looking like another great thread this week PUPs[Y]
