No doubt this will come as great news to a lot of you, but I''m giving up this board.

It would appear that my total support theory has gone on the scrapheap, judging by a lot of the replies to my recent posts.

I am enjoying City wining at last, so much so, that I can''t keep getting wound up defending my position on total support. Its spoiling what is left of this season for me.

CITY WILL STAY UP!, I''ll be content with that fact.

I wish you all, yes all, good health, especially City Angel and Gazza the great. But my sanity comes first, and I can''t be a''doing with anymore arguments.

I love my club, and my support will be as strong as ever.

Prove me right Nigel Boy.

its unfortunate you have come to this decision. sometimes people with strong points of view find themselves in the crossfire of people who look at the world in shades of gray. tho i don''t know you, it seems that you''re much more of a black or white kind of person....and that''s fine -- but it will mean that in certain cases, you will have to stand your ground come what may, or accept that a less defiant approach that may be the right path even tho it comes with compromises.

i, for one, would like you to rescind your decision but hey, if you''re losing your mind over this stuff, maybe you should take break. good luck to you.

well that''s just silly.   you can''t start arguments and then say you are fed up with them when people argue back Wiz.  What do you expect, someone posts an OPINION, you tell them what an idiot they are (in not so simple terms), they argue back, others join in and you quit?

Come on you have been active for so long and are obviously a passionate and loyal fan, so don''t leave because you are tired of arguing.  What''s the point of a messageboard without some good old fashioned debate, it would pretty boring without the arguing to be honest.

If you honestly think you are innocent of all blame then fine, but if you read back the way you express yourself sometimes I am sure you will see that it''s very easy for people to get annoyed.

It''s a tense time for our club and passion and emotions are running high.  People are picking on all the small things because at the end of the day everyone on here wants NCFC to do well.  Take a break have a think, enjoy the football and come back soon, but please don''t bow out with such a lame reason.  You have been in the thick of every argument I can ever remember.

I feel pretty stupid writing this to be honest, as I have been around on the boards for a mere suggestion compared to you, but I hope even through the recent spat you can see what I mean and value my opinion as I do yours.

Well said FTFW - its the fact that we all have differing views that makes this board a success - accept that, and that people will disagree with you, and this board remains as entertaining and informative as ever.  

Blimey I agree with FTFW on a lot of things but accept that he and I will never see eye to eye over certain defenders but its not gonna stop me (or hopefully FTFW) posting on here.  Its simply not worth losing your mind over!

If 1st Wizard wishes to leave the Board then its a shame but it''ll be his loss. You just can''t expect to be robust in your treatment of others and put forward strong opinions without being prepared to have them challenged. I am afraid that while I find his posts entertaining I don''t know where he stands anymore apart from being anti-concrete. At least YC who comes in for frequent and often quite unpleasant treatment has the decency to continue to stand up for his beliefs and often argues his point eloquently in the face of sometimes universal condemnation.

Wiz, I''m very disappointed with you on this - I can''t believe that you are seriously giving up this board just because people don''t agree with you.  My God, that''s part of your reason for posting in the first place, is it not?  Many of the threads you have started have been specifically aimed at starting debate, so leftfield have been some of your views.

Don''t expect everyone to agree with you just because you think you are right, it doesn''t work like that, and you of all people should know this.  Part of me is sure that you have made this announcement just to provoke a reaction, after all, it fits with your history....

I have both agreed and disagreed with you over the course of the last two seasons, but always, always value your input and respect your views.  Lately it seems you have been flipping from left to right in your views, and have been resorting to base insults far too readily.  Maybe a break will do you some good.

I am not going to plead with you to stay on these boards; if you have decided to quit then I respect your decision.  However, you will be denying yourself the pleasure of these boards, and the boards the pleasure of your posts.

The second I posted this thread, I regretted it!. Everyone of you deserves better than that from me.

Yes, I did get get frustrated (Okay Angry!) by what I saw as some posters being negative. But as its already been said, those who live by the sword........

But I was never ''attention seeking'' as someone suggested, that''s not my style.

I immediately realised just how much I''d miss some posters, DD, City Angel, Templeton etc, well in fact everyone, yes, even those I''ve crossed swords with!.

However there will be a more mellow wiz from now on, well, maybe!. The trouble is as one of you guessed, I''m a black and white type wiz, no grey for me, unfortunately. So yes, extremes tend to be the norm (where are you mate)

I will close with this piece of advice however, hover and think long and hard before you click the ''post reply'' button, I know I will!.

Glad you changed your mind Wiz.  You done it before I had the chance to tell you what a very naughty person you are to get us all going like that.  Like a lot of threaders on here have said your views are well received and those views that create a lot of discussion are exactly what the messageboard is all about. 

 At the end of the day we are all in this fight to stay up together and discussion on certain subjects will not always appeal to everybody but dont get upset if certain respondees to not agree with.  Blimey I was even called stupid a few weeks ago for something I said but there again I know I''m not stupid so it did not bother me.  Your views like those of Yankee create much needed different points of view which in my opinion is healthy and gives us a reason to log on here in the first place to see what we have to talk about today.  

Most people who log on here have valid points and do so because they care about the club and those that log on here just to wind up - well the less said about those the better.  Anyway welcome back Wiz and lets keep on discussing.
