Why bring ourselves down to his level?
Not really, it''s just a polite thank you. I''m not suggesting we should send abuse.

The Fish Seller 0 Posted June 1, 2010 Nobody seems to be moaning about it Selwyn, on the contrary we seem to be in agreement that getting PL and co in for £0.5m was one of the best pieces of business the club has done in recent years. The only person moaning is the man whose face is to small for his head:No wonder no manager wants to work for him. grantroederdisaster 0 Posted June 1, 2010 I''m not moaning! The outcome was fair and at the end of the day £500,000 is worth it for Lambert and that combined with the comp Coventry will be paying for Boothroyd will keep ColWHO going for a little bit!We were never going to get points deducted cause bigger clubs will always try and lure smaller clubs prized assets and deducting us would of opened up a can of worms with clubs getting deducted points all over the place! In fact I hope that Lambert is eventually poached from us by a bigger club cause that will have meant he had made the team sucessful! Adam NCFC 0 Posted June 1, 2010 RecordsColchester''s record wins were 9–1 against Bradford City in 1961 and Leamington F.C. in 2005. Their record defeat was 0–8 against Leyton Orient in 1988. Their record attendance at Layer Road was 19072 against Reading. Their record attendance at Weston Homes was 10064 against Norwich most of which fans were Norwich fans, and the game finished 5-0 to Norwich, then Mr Cowling got all upset, and tried getting compensation off us, then he had a cry because he didn''t get all that he wanted. Norwich went up, Colchester will forever rot in the lower leagues.[:)]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colchester_United_F.C.#Records
Rudolph Hucker 0 Posted June 1, 2010 Clubs do this sort of thing all the time but only occasionally does one complain rather than face the inevitable, get some compensation, and move on. Who knows how much this situation affected Colchester''s season? I certainly felt sorry for Bothroyd when we played them and it was all about PL.
Drazen Muzinic 1,452 Posted June 1, 2010 Brilliant!I love Wiki vandalism. Adam NCFC 0 Posted June 1, 2010 haha we have an angry colchester fan reading our forum!! Chin up son, you''ll be down there for life haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaha [:D]Colchester''s record wins were 9–1 against Bradford City in 1961 and Leamington F.C. in 2005. Their record defeat was 0–8 against Leyton Orient in 1988. Their record attendance at Layer Road was 19072 against Reading. Their record attendance at Weston Homes was 10064 against Norwich, whose fans were upset that their ticket allocation was not increased because they believe themselves to be some sort of giant in the world of football, rather than a small town at the arse end of East Anglia who use trips to Carrow Road as a way of protecting their womenfolk from unwanted inter-family attention. InLambertWeTrust! 0 Posted June 1, 2010 I spotted this on the Paul Lambert page:''On 1st June 2010, he decided that he loved Norwich City so much that he wanted to stay at the club for the rest of his career.''
Rudolph Hucker 0 Posted June 1, 2010 .................and let''s get this straight. Our rules breach was so heinous we were fined £75k. Not much of a breach then, so in the eyes of the FA a technicality I suspect. This ''penalty'' was whay Cowling was all about and there hardly was one.As for the compensation, it was just the going rate.On top of that we get a warning. Was it really worth all of Cowling''s antics, a collapse of relations between two friendly srts of fans and a major - possibly promotion costing distraction.Clubs with a Chairman who tries to overshadow the manager never do well. For all Alan Bowkett''s strong leadership and David McNally''s positivity neither overshadow Paul Lambert in the media. I can hardly believe how well managed we are these days. Long may it continue.

Janceena King 0 Posted June 2, 2010 There seems to be a row between Norwich/Colchester. I''m not interested in that and I have no idea who is right or wrong. No doubt you will sort it out. But whoever claims McNally is some sort of saviour must have a real problem. The thing was a disaster this end and the only conversation is why it took the boss so long to find out. It talks an endlessly good game and is super macho and up front but the day we got rid of it was a massive relief this end. Dancing on the pitch and all that.Good luck in your war with Colchester and even better luck with McNally. When we fired him no one else wanted him until you picked him up. Hidden diamond? Total plonker this end. Enjoy.
