watch it fella's CUFC ticket office are on the prowl!

Recommended Posts

...managed to book 2 tickets on monday in the CUFC end

online which are being sent to my london address but i STILL had a little

weasel from CU phone me up to try and catch me out! Luckily my wife is from

Essex and i made some cock''n''bull story about "not going since layer

road" and "was up for this match as so much interest in this

game" blah blah blah. he asked why i hadnt booked before and i said my old

pal used to get them and luckily guessed a random (but common) name. So if you

booked in the home end i''d do your

homework and try and find a name of a CUFC fan you "used to go with"?

;0).

btw - this is not my regular forum name but you cant be too careful as i reckon the cuckoo gestapo crew could link my tickets to my other name!

NOBODY expects the Spanish Inquisition! Our chief weapon is surprise...surprise

and fear...fear and surprise.... Our two weapons are fear and surprise...and

ruthless efficiency.... Our *three* weapons are fear, surprise, and ruthless

efficiency...and an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope.... Our *four*...no...

*Amongst* our weapons.... Amongst our weaponry...are such elements as fear,

surprise.... I''ll come in again

Well I hope you have not just come of the phone from them to rush on here, as they may well match your story up to the one they have just heard.

People need to just keep details of here!

Hope you get your tickets but if they get cancelled you only have yourself to blame.

You just advertised how many tickets you purchased, how you purchased them, when you purchased them, that you used a London address and what you told them when they called you up.

I expect there weren''t many online sales of two tickets to a London address on Monday so chances are the person who called you will remember after the Colchester ticket office read your post!

I''m still keeping my fingers crossed for the ballot!

dont worry Ren...i''m smarter than the average bear.

the names may have been changed to protect the innocent!

also, i''ve been told many plod/security men will be interviewing home fans at the turnstiles.

"show me your papers"? "good luck"?

Suggest a few people buy Colechister scarves or hats or something cheapo. My only hope is... how are they going to PROOVE your a Norwich fan ????I mean, what happens when Dave from Norwich turns up who has been an avid Colechister village fan the whole of his life but lives in Norwich ???Could actually be funny if they turn away some actual Colechister fans.

Now the spoiler / No Brainer = this. They probably have a copy of the Norwich City ticket line / info sales stuff.. IE: You know when you phone the up and they say , "You bought tickets with us before ? Yes... give them some info and they tell you what you had for breakfast"I reckon they will give that info to Colechesters ticket office so anyone who "pings" on both sales infos will probably not be allowed entry. And before anyone says, Norwich cant give the info / wouldnt. They can and will because the police will make it there legal obligation to do so.

I don''t think you have lost the lot AMSC as I had the same thought and am still not convinced that TWCM has not shot himself in the foot here. Names on this forum are irrelevant as far as I can see!

Just look who has been pally pally and who has not long signed up, there aren''t many ColU fans who post on here lol

Seriously, let them play their games, and we will let our players do the business on the pitch.

Not sure how they can trace individuals on here unless they can track down the IP address''s

I don''t think they can trace individuals on here but when people post details of phone conversations they have had with the Col U box office in the last couple of days on here then its presumably pretty easy for the people in the Col U box office to recall the conversation and track them down!

True?[/quote]Well they''ll never catch me.Using a variety of Colchester, Chelmsford, basildon and other Essex based addresses, and even quite a few Suffolk ones too I''ve been able to purchase literally hundreds of tickets for the home stands. I''ve bought single tickets, a couple here and three there, never more than five at a time and have been steadily buying them since they first went on sale.I''ve sold most of these on to Norwich fans at face price, so the chances of Colchester working out which four I''ve kept are pretty slim.(I''ve told everyone I sold to that they should turn up wearing Colchester colours too, and preferably carry some form of ID ''proving'' that they''re not from Norfolk just to keep them confused on the turnstiles).[;)]

And how many different credit cards and debit cards have you used? Needless to say, the ticket office are now looking at this sort of pattern of buying against the same card details.

It''s easy to get around that, I have used a credit and debit card for friends in the past.  If my mate in Rayleigh can do it for a few of my mates in Norfolk then I am sure others who have connections can do it too.

this is bloody stupid!    i went to see colchester last in 1981 the day that justin fashanu scored the goal that knocked ipswich out of the title race at carrow road.

Live in braintree which is 20 miles from colchester , whats stopping me buying a ticket?

ps;  the soooner the games out of the way and we return to carrow rd with 3 points or even a point the better!
