Arthur Whittle 0 Posted June 8, 2008 A fella i know who''s ''in the know'' when it comes to club politics reckons we''re in the poo finacially and holding out on transfers until we can get some finacial backing from anougher source. Hog 0 Posted June 8, 2008 If this is the case why is Roeder still here, if he fails with Norwich thats pretty much it for his career I would have thought, So if this is true, expect Roeder to jump ship sooner rather than later.

One Flew Over... 33 Posted June 8, 2008 I thought club accounts were published annually, so shouldn''t this be a better indication than someone with a "foot in" at Carrow Road who works at the market?

The board has the money but as per usual they dont want to spend any of it. This club is far from finacial collapse its just that we have a very stingie, play it safe board with no ambition. We will bring in the new players, that much is certain IMO. But dont expect the board to spend more than £250k on a single player. Expect cheap, mediocre, run of the mill players that no one else is interested in.
Houston Canary 0 Posted June 8, 2008 A little over a week ago, there was a thread in here about how NCFC was in the top 10 of English footy in some financial way. How can this be true AND we have no money to spend on players? AND we have 24,000+ fans at every game? AND we dumped Huckerby, so that frees up a nice chunk of change (although I''d rather we kept him). AND we have a new sponsor with deep pockets. AND so on..... Now Arto I have thought long and hard about your hostility towards our great club and I think I have discovered the answer . It took quite a lot of research believe me and when you are going back over 40 yrs its very difficult but I am certain I have it correct . If I could just run this past you Arto you lovely old boy . Now you set out on your chosen career as a young man as a publican and I must say a very laudable, splendid and proper respectful duty for our society and knowing you Arto I would imagine your position as mine host was filled with nothing other than social cohesion towards your guests. Now Arto I am suggesting your first undertaking was an establishment close to Carrow Rd and you did quite well on match days .Am I right ? I am sure I am . In fact it was your pint mug that was used in Cumfys ablutions in other words his need to make water every so often .Now as Cumfy and his gang arrived every match with a sparkling mug and left it behind after the match always full , I was just thinking what this must have cost you Arto . I can''t think for one minute that those mugs were a cheap commodity even in those distant days and over the season it must have been over 2 dozen you lost . Now this is by no means fact because the bloke in question is just a Market boy [yes i was having my saturday chips and moaning at the pidgons!] but he''s got a foot in at CR and it seems to make sense to me what with constant speculation but no outcome.
Now Arto you are such a lovely old boy and I would suggest perhaps the sweetest candy floss ever . Then it all went wrong didn''t it Arto ? , you were the victim of the purloined pint mug on every match day , It was Cumfy wasn''t it Arto ? Cumfy''s mum and Cumfys gang ? In fact it was your pint mug that was used in Cumfys ablutions in other words his need to make water every so often .Now as Cumfy and his gang arrived every match with a sparkling mug and left it behind after the match always full , I was just thinking what this must have cost you Arto . I can''t think for one minute that those mugs were a cheap commodity even in those distant days and over the season it must have been over 2 dozen you lost . Oh!! my goodness I have just had a thought what if Cumfy and his gang went to the reserve matches as well ? I cant think Cumfy and his gangs intake of liquid would be any less just because it was a reserve match . thats 48 mugs a season . Now that could have come close to sending you under Arto if in fact it didn''t .Surely Arto you must have suspected Cumfy and mum ? don''t you remember mum who was ace on the dice box? the lovely old girl smiling sweetly as if butter would not melt in her mouth .No no no , thats the wrong description , the last thing mum wanted was any form of lubrication under her plates her dentures would have spent all day on the floor .Now I do sympathise with you Arto as I am sure every poster does on this board but you cant keep levelling the blame at our club for using your mugs and calling them their very own ,for goodness sake Arto they didn''t know they were yours , many was the time when fans were leaving the ground someone would kick over the mug and say "Hello someone never drank their beer" I do think its time to forgive and forget Arto after all these yrs, I really do Arto and I understand why you never join in any debate reminiscing about the old players that played for us all those yrs ago . It must be painful memories for you Arto, I cant think of any other reason why you never talk about those long ago days .. [;)] arrdee.
Spot on, as usual Ray.Also I think Arto is still a bit peeved that we only got 50 grand for Ron Davies.
Now Dick , Arto wants to know who this Ron Davis is , Did he run the Brickmakers ?
No Mate, that was Albert (white boots) Bennett.LOL
Well Dick don''t you think that was a good go and a good try for Arto ?
Exellent Ray,Arto''s memory is nearly as good as yours and mine.
What was that Dick ? has Arto got a memory ? this is wonderful news . I can see Arto gracing us with all sorts of memorabilia [:D]

His Daughter is employed at the club. He''s mentioned things in the past and its pretty spot on. Like i said its just what i was told and i''m in no ways saying its true but i thought it was relevent to mention on this forum. Those market boys know more than we think, they''re the eyes and ears of the city you know!
