Would be useful to get some decent permanent players in first, but loans are always going to be a definite fixture for most Champ sides - for sure, it would be great to get Bertrand and Ched (imo the more Man City are linked with big-name stars the more you have to think that he might be shipped out again?); other than that there must be players at Arsenal/Man U/others who will be going out for the season, we just need to pick up an equivalent of a Ryan Shawcross out of them, rather than a Zesh Rehman.

Wasnt O''Hara the one who played quite a few games for spurs last season?? Surely they wouldnt loan him out to the championship!!!!!

Just a reminder everyone - harder this coming season because seven subs on the bench for the first time ever.

Adel Taarabt or Jamie O''Hara- Spurs

Carlos Vela, Fran Merida, Henri Lansbury, -Arsenal, there is also a current major overhaul of players in the ransk of Arsenal, so there may be more contenders...

Hobbs, Leto or El Zhar-Liverpool

Sahar, Bertrand -Chelsea

Tomas Peckart from Spurs  A really useful striker They also have a very good defender Troy Archibald-Henville who made it on to the subs bench a couple of times.

Bertrand is probable, and would be good competition for Drury, however i think Drury will get first dibs on the left back slot.

Evans is a no go, hes signed a 3 year contract and is impressing everyone playing for Wales at the minute, whoever comes into replace Sven will be do best in keeping him for the first team, more than likely as a sub however. Despite saying that, i would love to see a poor decision and for him to be season-loaned out again.

Hoyte from Arsenal is a rumour spreading but nothnig more. Could do an impressive job at our level, and with Roeders link with Wenger i expect one or two Arsenal youngsters! :)

Krisztian Nemeth (19, striker, Liverpool) At 17 he played regular top division footbal in his country, at 18 he was bought by Liverpool, where at the reserves he became top scorer (goal rate about 1 per game), was an unused sub in Hungary''s last two international games. An up and coming player. It''s about time for ''pool to send him on loan. Might become the new Ched.

If we have more than a couple of loans IMO it''s the fast track to more failure.Say Roeder brought in half o'' dozen players again.  What are we going to do this forever more?

oh no

evans - got slight chance although the loan is to prepare him for squad! mark hughes maybe fond of him seing fellow welshman and his succes for national team lately

o''hara - no chance of moving at all let alone down a league

hoyte - if available some one like a villa or at worst a stoke, wba

cork - more realstic

hobbs suggested higher in list - also realistic

Loans are here to stay - and if you look at the sides that finished in the top two this season they both had plenty, so I''m not sure how it can''t be used as a reason/example of failure.  Yes it is probably better to bring decent players through from Youth, and/or sign decent one from lower leagues (eg Kightly et al) alongside proven performers at Champs level, but Loans are also now a valid approach.

Stoke loan examples this last season included Shawcross who then signed, Nash, Bothroyd, Gallacher, Ameobi; WBA had Bednar, Danek, Moore, Cesar, Kim.   Indeed, in the infamous game between Sheff Wed and Stoke, Stoke had to leave one of their loan players out, Sheff Wed of course named too many in their side.

100% Bertrand - he''s a class apart. Would say pearce/taylor but they are both in the championship now! Apart from that, someone like Kevin Phillips if the prem is too much?
