newyorkcanary 14 Posted April 9, 2008 I wonder if GR is smiling or not. She was a b*t*h during the Martin Taylor transfer saga, but one can''t help but respect how they stood behind Taylor during the Eduardo debacle. I''ll admit I smiled when I heard the news... Block E Buh 0 Posted April 9, 2008 Karen Brady and the Birmingham Chairman were arreseted this evening. Now, is this why Norwich pulled out of the Martin Taylor transfer? Why would Norwich, a team who prefers to do transfer business the most professional way possible, deal with Karen Brady?

Citizen Journalist Foghorn 0 Posted April 10, 2008 Didn''t the useless coppers do the same to Portsmouth a couple of months back... Harry Redknapp, Peter Storrie and Milan Mandaric getting arrested. As I remember the Portsmouth Chairman and manager were arrested in November by the same investigation team...

Roeder offered Birmingham a price for Taylor (£800,000?) which they turned down hoping to engineer a sale to QPR for around £1.25M, that never transpired and towards the end of the transfer period they were close to accepting bids of around the £1M mark. We would probably have got him but for the fact that Birmingham could not get a new central defender in during the transfer period. There was a lot of messing about but no one did anything underhand, the thing that miffs people off with that woman is her blogs in the Sun slating GR. HappyhammerAndy 0 Posted April 10, 2008 Anybody who does not believe, that this kind of thing goes on, (to varying degrees), at the majority of clubs in all divisions is unfortunately, naive. It''s just that some clubs get caught and others don''t! Transfers between clubs and agents are crooked. I suspect that bungs occur on a frequent basis. Fraud and corruption is an ever increasing problem. Do all deals involving, Eastern Europeans, Africans, Asians, agents and club owners go through honestly and above board? No I don''t think they do either.
